Guestbook comments from the manager

My wife & I spent our 9th straight weekend along Lake Mi. We have visited a number of cottages and none are as 'cozy' as The Nutshell. We had a shortened stay due to my football teams game, but we were able to enjoy Mt. Baldhead Hike (yes there is a top!), Oval Beach, Downtown Saugatuck, Downtown Douglas, Holland, Mi, & the grill and picnic table at the Nutshell.

Thanks for the great place to stay and location! Other than us losing the keys for a couple hours, we had a great time!

Yes! In a Nutshell

  • 5 of 5

My first impression was that it was really tiny. But, after moving in, I realized it had everything I needed and I was charmed. It was absolutely immaculate. The woods to the back make it seem so private. I saw deer and black squirrel. Nice grill and fire pit. Out front there were other cottages very close so it felt very safe. The location was great. Everything was close by and the museum and Mt. Baldhead are within walking distance but there is parking. Loved my entire stay.

Cozy in Saugatuck

  • 5 of 5

The nutshell was nice and cozy for our family of 4 in Saugatuck. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We utilized every square inch of the Nutshell! Great location, close to great trails, the chain ferry (which takes you downtown Saugatuck), Mt. Baldhead and Oval Beach (be prepared to walk - otherwise $10 to drive and park at Oval Beach). Would recommend this to single travelers, couples, and small families :)
