Guest Comments: "What a pleasant surprise we had coming to such a beautiful home. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 18 years. This home is the most beautiful one that we've stayed in. The kids were entertained and the parents were happy. You have thought of everything down to the smallest detail. We will be back next year. "We all loved the house...especially the pool...and the pool table! "During our stay it rained everyday and we still had a great time in your house! Loved the foosball table. The hot tub felt great after getting caught in the rain. "This home is really lovely, warm, and inviting. The owner's pictures of happy family times add a personal touch, along with all the thoughtful details throughout.

Easy check in and easy / quick communication with rental agency. No significant issues except for a few light bulbs that needed changing and we were missing a set of bed sheets. We really enjoyed the pool and pool table and large kitchen table for eating and playing games. The beach access is really close and convenient and the beach wasn’t crowded. The crows nest was great for morning coffee!

It's nice not to have to bring these things or have to make beds. The home is so comfortable and has everything you could need. The beach access is right across Beach Road. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed last week of April and got beautiful sunny weather as per name! Clean and convenient to restaurants and groceries. TV was a bit on challenge at first, but then figured out to use Hulu. Only other minor thing was no garbage disposal. Ocean too cold in April but will come back again in August. Cheers!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing in Nags Head since the late 70’s. This was by far our favorite house we have ever rented. From the direct access across the street to the more “knee friendly” public access right up the street it met our beach needs. We loved the pool, hot tub and pool table and the view of the sound from the crow’s nest was beautiful. The lay out of the house with bedroom suites both up and downstairs was perfect. We especially likes the two refrigerators and all of the bathrooms.If we can get our schedules synchronized we hope to come back next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Amazing amount of space and literally across the street from the ocean and the sound. Very close to shops and many sight seeing places. Loved the hot tub and game room. The kitchen is well stocked and we really liked having a bathroom attached to each bedroom. We had an issue with one of he bedrooms doorknobs but the owner fixed it immediately no problem. The upper deck was wonderful because you can see amazing sunsets and sunrises. Absolutely gorgeous. Be sure to bring your own beach chairs and fishing gear. We hope to visit again in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time at this house! It's spacious, and we loved the rec room and pool table. There were 8 adults and a baby in the house and we didn't feel cramped. The private beach access right across the street was convenient, and there were a ton of restaurants just a few minutes away. I had an issue with a running toilet that the management took care of right away, and even though it appeared to "fix itself", the maintenance person still came by to check to make sure it was working 100%. The property management was responsive and very helpful. We loved the private pool and having our dogs with us on vacation. I highly recommend this house!

Amazing Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the house was extremely clean, and well maintained. Pretty much had bathrooms in every room (though some bedrooms shared a bathroom on each floor). The rooftop balcony was perfect for chilling at night and watching the sunrise/sunset. Parking lot can fit up to 6 normal sized cars which was perfect. It was only a block away from the beach and more or less on a not-so-busy street so it was easy to get in and out! Just around the block was the main street to get to the rest of Nags Head. The hot tub and pool were perfect for relaxing when it was too hot outside or great for BBQ'ing and chilling at night. I would definitely go back!

Fall into Fun N' Sun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay at Fun N' Sun, but our first in the fall and our first since 2015! We had a great time and had great weather for all but one day. Fun N' Sun continues to be our favorite house in OBX. It's somewhat unassuming and maybe doesn't look like a classic beach house from the outside. But, the 5 masters plus a den that also has an attached bath mean you can sleep a large family more comfortably at a much more reasonable price than other houses. In addition, everyone loves the access to the pool, hot tub, and pool table. Finally, the beach access directly across the street makes quick fall trips, that might not last long if it's chilly, perfectly doable!

For Us, the Cons Outweighed the Pros

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house met our needs for space for 8 family members. Restaurants, shops, and recreation were all nearby. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with plates, pots, etc.But the furniture is very worn. Sofas looked dirty. They advertised only showers in the bathrooms, but every bathroom except one actually had a tub shower combo. One of the reasons we chose this prperty wasthat i have had foot surgery and have difficilty stepping into a tub. The one shower stall was small. Several bathrooms were so tight they felt claustrophobic. Light bulbs were burned out in the living room. Batteties in several remote controls for the TV needed replacing. There were no trash bags. The soap bars supplied were wafer thin. At check out the dishwasher had to be emptied which made coffee or breakfast that last day difficult. The kitchen had no staples, not even salt and pepper. Seemed like they were cutting corners and not checking maintenance of the property. We would not stay there again.

We went to Jockey's Ridge to see the sunset and had dinner at Mulligan's and had mani/pedi at Polish Me. We enjoyed the pool once the clarity issues were dealt with and even got in the hot tub once.

Though it is an older home, it had every amenity we needed and the layout in particular was perfect for us with 3 small families and young children (fewer stairs, a bathroom for every bedroom, and the back TV room that functioned as their play room). The pool and direct beach access across the street were huge added perks, and we noticed this area around MP16 made for far fewer crowds on the beach too. Would definitely stay here again!

Reviewer Comments: I would give the house layout, cleanliness, and location 5 stars. We were very close to the ocean, good restaurants, putt putt courses, bumper boats, grocery stores, and just general shopping. The pool was larger than expected and very enjoyable. But I can only give the overall review perhaps 2 stars. The dishwasher leaked badly the first time we used it. A repair man came and said not to use it till we heard back from them, which never happened. The clothes washer was filled with apparently dirty water, so we could never use that. A repairman did come and leave a note saying not to use it. Since the master bath was only given one bath towel, we asked for more bath towels, which we received. Since we had to do dishes by hand, we asked for more dish towels and dish detergent, which we never received. The bedroom with the bunk beds had a musty smell. Also there were two burnt out light bulbs, the kitchen clock needed batteries, and the kitchen sink drained extremely slowly. These last items were not a big deal, but just indicate a general lack of oversight and attention to detail. I do wonder how the company could be unaware of these conditions, especially the two unusable and very much needed appliances. I would not recommend this property to a friend unless there were guarantees that they would be treated better than we were.
