Family of 10 getaway to Hochatown!

We had a great time staying at Made in the Shade! 5 adults and 5 kids (aged 6-16). We enjoyed all that the cabin had to offer (fire pit, fire places and the hot tub, plus everything inside). We would definitely stay again!

Family reunion at Made in the Shade

Perfect cabin for our family reunion. The layout is perfect for a large family. Thoughtful touches made our stay more fun, like beach towels located conveniently to the hot tub, and supplies for the fire pit. Beautiful decor. Great communication with owner - I had lots of questions before the trip and she answered every one. Convenient location to breweries, restaurants, and state park.

Fall Break

Made in the Shade is a beautiful home set in a wonderfully peaceful area. The cabin is gorgeous, and the kitchen is fully set up for cooking. Our family loves to cook, and we found every single utensil, cookware, food processors, dishes, etc. It was so nice and relaxing for our family, and we loved being able to share that special time in such a beautiful setting, with our adult children. We enjoyed lighting a fire in the fire pit, and making S’mores, while we enjoyed the nice weather. It is also a pet friendly cabin, which made it so nice that we were able to take our family pets with us to enjoy the area! We loved our stay and know others will, as well!!

5 Stars is not Enough

The property and home are simply breathtaking! Everything that we could have possibly have needed was already provided for us from starter fire wood, marshmallow roasting sticks, board games, every pot, pan, crockpot, small appliance we could have wanted, hair dryer, shampoo, etc- all ready and waiting. We came with a two- year- old who quickly found the light- up inside tent, llama children’s board books, flashlights, bug catchers and vented bug jars. Our entire family came, 4 adults and 6 kiddults and a toddler and we had more than enough room. We will absolutely book here again.

We loved the close proximity to everything but REALLY love that its removed from the higher trafficked area within Hochatown.

If you have a trailer or a boat, this cabin is perfect for you to get in and out of. Additionally, we have an EV Charger On-Site – Charge up while you relax. Enjoy the local nature with occassional deer in our yard, a resident racoon and in the summer the sky lights up with fireflies!
