Don't miss this one!

If you're going to rent this property, be prepared for excellence!! It is as comfortable as your own home, and the lake view is pretty. We did not venture down to the lake, but there is accessibility. Sitting on the patio was enjoyable and our dog loved it, too! You are supplied with many amenities; no need to bring a lot of extras for the kitchen or bath. Would rent here again with pleasure. Lots of good restaurants as well. Loved Hearthstone and Hennessey's!

Beautiful lakeside home in quiet neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

We loved this lakeside neighborhood, and walked almost every morning - there are giant trees and great homes. It is near Grand Haven & Muskegon, so you are a quick drive to all sorts of things to do. This older home has a newer addition, so there was plenty of room for the six adults who stayed here. Two of the three bedrooms were perfect for adults, the third bedroom is next to the living room, and lacked curtains/shades over the glass entry door (also, no closet), but we made it work. The beds were all comfortable, and two folks slept on the couch (not a sleeper sofa) a couple of nights each - they said it was also very comfortable! The kitchen is spacious with lots of counter space, and pretty much everything you need, although we ate out for dinner a lot. The dining table is also great for eating and playing games, with plenty of chairs, since you can also use the ones from the kitchen island. The lake view is lovely, but be aware that the path leading down to the water might be a little steep for some. There is a beautiful wooden deck right at lakeside, a fire pit, and a small paddleboat. We sat around the patio table overlooking the lake on the nicest days - just beautiful. The listing had some inaccuracies, but the manager/new owner is working to correct these. There are regular beds for only 7 people as far as we could tell. There is a small futon in a little sun room off the living room, but only one adult could really fit there.

The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful, providing great eating locations, and bringing some warmer blankets - nights were in the upper 40s. Two of his dining recommendations were The Lake House (wonderful dinner, but go early or make a reservation) and Pints and Quarts (great food, but extremely noisy on a Friday at happy hour!) - our group would highly recommend either. Another great dining experience was Hearthstone - especially when nice enough to sit on their patio - excellent food.

This home is in the process of getting some more updating, so it should be even better in the future. Just FYI- there are 3 bathrooms, but only two are usable - the third (1/2 bath) is in the garage & is being used for storage. The two bathrooms inside the house were plenty for six adult women, so I"m sure it would work out fine for you! The master bath shower is wonderful - it' large, and has three shower heads - awesome! I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to this area.

Very nice place

  • 5 of 5

Property is very well kept. Everything works as it should.

Master bedroom and bath are huge. Master shower is amazing. Patio is large with nice gas grill and plenty of furniture. Bit of a hike to get to the lower deck and water but a little exercise doesn't hurt anyone.

Stores and restaurants are close if you need anything. Owner was very nice and accommodating if needed.

All in all an excellent choice and stay!!

Summer Perfection

  • 5 of 5

We had great weather. From the patio, the view of Mona Lake was outstanding. The home was clean and comfortable. We had guests visit, one couple used the boat dock. The walk to the lake and deck was good exercise, a little steep but manageable for us old folks. The appliances were fairly new and easy to use. I would highly recommend this home to my friends.
