We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was easy to find, clean and convenient to the things we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend this property. We made some great memories while staying here.
Great stay at Tucker Mountain! As a family of 4 adults, we appreciated the extra space and being out of the crowded areas around Bar Harbor. It was the exact retreat we anticipated. Many thanks to Judy for her hospitality and easy check-in/check-out. .

Conveniently located, clean, comfortable
We couldn't have done better for a family of four. Plenty of space to move around and all the amenities and conveniences of home. The log cabin aspect gives it that extra bit of charm to make the vacation special. It's close to Acadia and Bar Harbor without the congestion and there is plenty to do in Sullivan and the immediately surrounding area of you don't feel like driving to the island. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautifully designed and decorated log cabin nestled in Tucker Mountain (which we hiked!) about 45 minutes from Acadia NP! Fire pit which we used every night (plenty of wood provided), comfortable beds and fairly close to lobster restaurants and markets (we had a lobster boil!) with plenty of fresh seafood. Thank you Judy for a wonderful stay which we will remember forever!
Our family had an amazing time at the log cabin. It was so spacious, accommodating what we needed and it was beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Thank you Judy!!!!
We really enjoyed the design of this house with all the hewn, huge, timber. Dramatic and beautiful. The base of the extraordinary dining room table is literally a tree trunk as is the base of the coffee table. Beds were comfortable, water pressure great and lots of cool decorations. This house really felt like our home for a week. The owners were quick to reply to our messages and great to communicate with. We highly-recommend this property!

Beautiful house, very relaxing!
My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Maine and loved staying at this house. Judy was so friendly and showed up on our first day to drop off wood for the fire pit. The house had all the amenities that we could ask for. It was clean, spacious and very cozy. We loved spending time playing games at the large dining table.
We highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again.
Well-built, equipped and maintained three-bedroom log cabin located just off Route 1. Nearby owners build log cabins and their love for detail is evident throughout this rental home. Communication with the owner was efficient and easy. Window A/C units in the two largest bedrooms kept them cool, plus there were lots of fans throughout the rest of the house to keep air moving and minimize occasional road noise. Easy drive to Winter Harbor or MDI. Hope to return.

Gorgeous Home!
Beautiful vacation rental with all the comforts of home and more. The owners, Judy and Cliff, are very friendly and helpful. The home is centrally located near the beautiful Schoodic Penisula, scenic small towns like Sorrento, Winter Harbor, and Corea. It's close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Check out the Granite Gallery nearby, it's worth the drive down the dirt road. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening along with the spacious jetted tub to unwind at the end of the day. There are many local restaurants with excellent food. We would highly recommend this wonderful house to couples or families.

Highway noise kept us from sleeping
We knew we would be close to a highway but the master bedroom was a direct conduit to the noise which was surprisingly consistent throughout the night. Bring earplugs.
Lots of large black ants, twice while cooking found one crawling up leg.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Cabin. It was larger than we envisioned and a more enjoyable environment for our toddlers. Check in was a breeze and Julia’s communication was timely. Our kids loved playing in the open field at Frazer point to catch the sunset and exploring the Schoodic peninsula nearby. Acadia is about a 45 minute drive but definitely worth it. Cabin is equipped with everything you might need with the exception of detergent pods for the washer. It was nostalgic to us to play cartoons for the kids on a satellite dish on a bulky TV. We also listened to the radio since there wasn’t Bluetooth on the CD/Cassette stereo. It was quite refreshing. Bring an an aux to play your playlist. Beds were comfy and place was aesthetically pleasing. Would highly recommend
We enjoyed our stay and found the house's central location to work well for our family. We were able to easily travel to Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, Ellsworth and the surrounding area.
The dining table is very large and the kitchen is well equipped to support family meals.
The traffic noise reported in one of the posts didn't bother us. It is not frequent during the overnight hours and if you run into issues, the air conditioner generates enough white noise to drown it out.
We only had a couple of minor issues. There was a lack of hand soap which we were able to pick some up at the Dollar General. The upper shower did leak water through the ceiling of the lower bathroom. It wasn't too bad, but we didn't want to cause damage so we just ended up using the lower shower which worked well.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
House was very well equipped. Kitchen and dining areas were large and easily fit my family of 5. There is no a/c on the bottom floor which wasn't really a problem with fans and the windows open and the temp. not too bad. Unfortunately, with the windows opened the traffic on the street just outside the subdivision was very noisy. Wasn't that big of a deal as we didn't spend that much time there. Most of our time was spent exploring Acadia and we just were at the house for breakfast and dinner. Wifi was very good. Water pressure in upstairs bathroom was terrible. Bad enough that most of us chose to schedule showers in the downstairs bathroom. Not ideal, but not that big of a deal. Bit of a drive to the park, but away from the hustle and bustle of that area. Overall was a good stay!

Unfortunately not what we expected.
The house itself was very nice. Unfortunately, that’s were it ended. Rt 1 in Sullivan Maine was less than 35 yards from the house. If you opened the windows all you heard was traffic, sirens, etc…. Only one shower was available. Absolutely no water pressure in upstairs bathroom and broken tub. Downstairs bathroom had mold due to constant use and ceiling had water damage from the broken tub upstairs. Was unable to give our son a bath for a week due to this issue. On one side of the house all you saw was a run down unmaintained garage/building. Smoke detector in main bedroom battery was removed. No AC in kids bedroom made it unable to be used. In window AC in middle bedroom lacked proper installation which caused bugs and such to enter which ended up with bites on the face in the AM. A cracked toilet seat which would pinch your leg.
Outdated TV’s from 2005 which made it difficult to view and lack of programming due to dish tv’s overall selection for our son or enjoying a movie at night as a family.
All in all this was not what we expected. We
Wanted a nice quiet getaway and this was anything but…
There should be some truth in advertising. The pictures inside the house were accurate but again that’s were it ended.
The cabin woodwork is just fantastic. Great fire pit. We spent most of our 7 day vacation hiking the trails of Acadia National Park, and spent a few hours at the cabin each day.
We had a great experience at the Cabin! It was the perfect getaway but still close enough to drive to Acadia, Schoodic, and Bar harbor. Judy was great to deal with and she was always quick to answer questions etc. The cabin had everything we needed and plenty of room to spread out. We would highly recommend this cabin to stay at!
We enjoyed the weather sitting by the fire pit. Judy surprised us with a bottle of wine!
We cooked breakfast every morning with fresh eggs which we bought from the neighbor.
The house was an interesting design with massive architectural features in a forest theme. It was well appointed and comfortable. If you enjoy outdoor activities, it is a great launchpad. Enjoyed. Will be back
Amazing log cabin along breathtaking Schoodic Byway
This home was the perfect place for our family of 5 to wrap up our summer. The home is clean and comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed for home cooked meals. The grill and fire pit were perfect for evening bbqs followed by s’mores. The home’s fans and ac units kept us cool during the warm weather. The homeowners are incredibly responsive! This area of Maine seems like a hidden gem. Close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor for the “must sees” and also close to the Schoodic Pensinsula of Acadia which is just as beautiful and far less crowded! The Tidal Falls are fantastic for tidepooling and Little Tunk Pond is a picturesque beach at the end of a short hike. Don’t think twice - book this home!
We had a great time staying here as a family of 4. We had plenty of room to eat meals, play games, and spend time together or apart. Everything was super clean. The decor and cabin lodge theme was awesome and so fun. My only wish is that the property was further into the woods and not so close to the main road. However, we liked the location in that it was very close to tucker mountain and the tidal preserve. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
