Victoria Charm

My wife and I stayed in Asian meets Modern for just over a week. Our overall experience was wonderful. The unit is well located in the downtown area with parking. It was exceptionally clean with all required amenities like home. The landlord was extremely attentive to all our needs. We will consider this our first stop the next time we are in Victoria.

Perfect Getaway

This flat has everything you need for a short or a long stay. It is close to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. The unit is very quiet and the patio is lovely. The parking is a real plus. We would definitely stay again.

Birthday weekend for my wife

Surprised my wife with a weekend trip to Victoria. The place was perfect with lots of restaurant options and close to everything. The whole city was ready for Christmas and was very beautiful. We would definitely stay at this place again.

Lovely Accomodation

This apartment is lovely, and the hosts have obviously taken care to create a warm welcoming space. The kitchen is well equipped and the towels and bed linens are good quality. Real art on the walls, not just anonymous “condo art”. The most charming feature is the covered patio area just outside the large south facing glass windows/door, allowing sunlight to stream into the living area. We look forward to staying here again.

So Close to Everything!

Wonderful unit within walking distance of all things downtown, the Inner Harbour and Chinatown. The property managers were excellent communicators, and the unit was spotless! The secure parking spot included in the stay fee was an added bonus. We hope to stay at this unit again in the future!

This is a lovely, modern condo in a great location, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We appreciated the secure underground parking as well. All requests were promptly responded to.

Chinatown Condo

We had a wonderful stay here. The location was superb, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was awesome. It was great having a washer and dryer, and there were plenty of drawers for keeping things. Our favorite part was the beautiful patio, where you could sit and enjoy the outdoors. We hope to go back someday.

A great place for a restful break!

On my first solo trip after a number of years of not traveling at all, this was a perfect spot to come to stay. It was close enough to get to anywhere I wanted to go, convenient for using my rental car, but also close to spots downtown so I could walk and wander as I wished, and after one long shopping day it was so easy to get a quick ride back from supper. One full day and most of my mornings and evenings I just went no further than the peaceful patio, or the cosy living room. Everything I needed was provided for ease and comfort. And the nice dishes and glassware made meals in feel special as well. The hosts Paul and Takayuki were great and ever so patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. I thought it would be a perfect place to come stay for a quiet retreat type of holiday. I would definitely book it again if I was planning another trip to Victoria.

Great location, excellent apartment

This is the third time that we stayed with these hosts, all in the same building but a different apartment unit each time. All excellent experiences, will book again the next time we visit Victoria. The apartment is in a great location in Chinatown. Lots of restaurants nearby, and a big selection of restaurants too within 10 minute walk. Downtown Victoria attractions are within a 15 minute walk and there is a grocery store within a 10 minute walk. The apartment is very clean, modern and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The building is safe and quiet at night. We really enjoyed the outdoor space with this unit as well, it's private and very comfortable.

Tasteful and comfortable

The apartment was tastefully furnished, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay of 3 nights. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor patio space. Everything was very clean. Check-in was efficient and automated, exactly at 4pm. Having 2 sets of keys were handy. Parking within the building. The location is very central, with excellent cafes and restaurants a short walk away. For a cyclist, Victoria is very bikable, and the apartment is on a bike path. Paul was easy to reach, and responsive. The apartment was zen and quiet. My only issue was the thin walls, and the neighbors next door can be heard talking across the bedroom wall at night and their chairs can be heard scraping. This is only problematic if you head to bed before 11pm. I was able to move to the pullout bed in the living room, and it was much quieter there. Otherwise, a truly comfortable stay.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful trip to Victoria and staying in Paul & Takayo’s condo made it comfortable and convenient. It was clean and lovely and the location was great. The hosts were extremely responsive and instructions were very clear regarding check in and checkout. We’d definitely stay there again!

We've lived and worked in Canada, Japan, Yemen, Senegal, the Philippines and Vietnam. We're home now and loving it. Victoria has to be one of the best places in the world to live. We still travel a little, mostly back to Japan where we have family. Our kids have full passports with stickers from all over the world. They have no idea how lucky they are, but we're going to tell them when they get older. Paul used to push buttons in airplanes with labels like HKG (Hong Kong) and SYD (Sydney), Takayo used to teach. Now we clean our legal short term rentals and walk our Vizsla when we are done. Thanks,

We have bought two units in the building due to it's location and the layouts. The location can't be better, on the corner of Herald and Government. Right across from China Town and walking distance to everything.

This property is super clean and the best that we can make it. Takayo is personally involved in cleaning and running the unit. Paul does all the maintenance and correspondences. We are very much involved in your stay. While all our units are completely automatic, we are only 15 minutes away in case you need something or should something break. We also respond to texts almost immediately. We are here if you need us.
