Thunder Island "A" Building, Gorgeous Direct Bay Front, Close to Beach

You will not want to leave this beautifully decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath condo directly on the bay in the Thunder Island condominium complex in the A building. Modern designer kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertop!! Fully stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, all cooking utensils and more! Enjoy morning coffee and incredible evening sunsets from inside the unit looking out two huge sliders, or from the spacious and private furnished balcony. Next door to the Convention Center, where there are year round activities. Our home at the beach is meticulously maintained and offers all the amenities you can think of, and more! Complete master bathroom renovation in Spring 2024. Beautiful tile shower, new toilet and vanity. 43" Smart ROKU tvs added to each bedroom Spring 2024. Balcony was resurfaced in 2021. New 50" Smart ROKU TV and sound bar on corner stand added to the family room in 2022. The unit comfortably sleeps seven, but will not accommodate more than 5 adults. The master bedroom has queen sized bed, a private bathroom and a new smart television. The 2nd bedroom has a full and a twin, and the family room offers a queen size sleep sofa. Beautiful shutters in both bedroom windows. Guests are required to bring their own bed linens and bath towels. Flat screen televisions in living room and bedrooms. The unit has programmable central air and heat, and a washer and dryer. WE DO NOT RENT TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS OR GROUPS OF YOUNG ADULTS. THIS IS A FAMILY ONLY RENTAL.

Parking is available for two cars. The Thunder Island condominium complex offers a bay front outdoor pool (POOL DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL THE SATURDAY OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AND CLOSES IN EARLY SEPTEMBER AFTER LABOR DAY) overlooking docks and boat/jet ski slips (nominal fee for slips and trailer parking - to dock your boat and an additional to park your trailer). IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BRINGING YOUR BOAT FOR YOUR VACATION, THERE IS A REGISTRATION FORM THAT MUST BE COMPLETED AND PROVIDED WITH ADDITIONAL FEE ($100 per week to dock your boat and $100 to park your trailer on the back lot), TO THE DOCKMASTER UPON ARRIVAL. The form can be found by visiting our website at www.thunderislandocmd.com and clicking on “Owners Portal” and selecting “Boat/Trailer Information.” SLIPS AND TRAILER PARKING ARE BASED ON AVAILABILITY. You can also watch the kids crab and fish right off the docks in front of the unit. Clean your catch at the lighted fish cleaning station.

EVENT TRAILERS - Cruisin' Weekend, Bike Week, etc. New in Spring - 2024 - Trailers are limited to 25' and under. Trailers must be registered upon arrival, and there is a $100 fee to park your trailer for up to 3 days and $200 for 4 - 7 days.

Security on property from 8 pm - 4 am on off-season Event weekends and every weekend from Memorial Day - Labor Day weekend.

This is an ideal mid-town location, close to everything. Within sight of the ocean, yet far enough away from the Coastal Highway noise. It is a short 2 block walk to beach; you can safely cross Coastal Highway in the pedestrian crosswalk. It is within walking distance to many area attractions including the Boardwalk, Jolly Rogers Amusement Park, Coconuts, Seacrets, and other restaurants and shops. It is only a short drive to Ocean Downs Casino.

This was the best choice I ever made for booking in OC. Hotels are a hit or a miss around there, and sometimes you really want a guarantee somewhere is clean and close by. The hosts were diligent in communication too!

Our stay at this condo was amazing! The condo is exactly as advertised. Pictures really don’t do justice. We were in town for a cheer competition that we come to every year and this condo made our experience so much better. It’s right beside the convention center so we didn’t have to fight the parking. It is within walking distance of a lot of things. We just loved it and would def stay here again.

Great condo / location for Oceans Calling Festival

Property was well kept and clean and suited our needs for the Oceans Calling Festival. Property is right next to the Ocean City Convention Center which served as parking for the Oceans Calling Festival and there was a bus stop that picked up and dropped off concert goers by the parking lot so the location was great. Property owners were responsive and would rent again for a beach vacation as the location was walking distance to a lot of things.

Fantastic property

One of the best properties we’ve stayed at off VRBO. We were in town for the weekend for an event at the convention ctr and the location was perfect for that. The unit was SUPER clean and very well maintained. The view from the balcony was incredible w spectacular views of the sunset. Had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The owners were an absolute pleasure to work with. Would definitely stay in this condo again.

Dance Competition Week

We stayed here because the location was perfect due to the dance competition being held at the convention center. It was so easy to walk back and forth all day. Wonderful weekend trip!

This property was absolutely perfect for our weekend. We had a basketball tournament and the location was literally a two minute walk to the front door of the convention center. The bay was quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. The entire unit was spotless and the pictures do not do it justice. The owners were very responsive and extremely accommodating. I would absolutely book this condo again in a heartbeat!

We were original owners at the unit next door for 30 years and it was a very familiar, comfortable feeling. The unit was well-maintained and there were upgrades throughout. Always enjoy the option of bayside because of the pool and fishing/boating pier and docks. The grounds are immaculately maintained as well and the upgrade to the facade looks nautical. Highly recommend as it is also centrally located which makes it convenient as well as it sits next to the convention center on the bay away from Coastal Highway traffic.

A perfect spot

We rented this unit for one week for my family of four. My daughter was competing in a dance competition at the convention center which is right across the street and was very easy to walk to. Easy 2 block walk to the beach and spectacular sunsets from the balcony. Owners were available and promptly answered all my questions and have great dining recommendations. Only negative thing was the all beds are very firm. Regardless we will definitely book here again for her next competition.
