My husband and I enjoyed staying at the Cairo Cottage! It was a perfect size for just the two of us, very clean and everything was labeled or outlined in the binder. Location was great - only a few minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely stay here again.
The Cairo Cottage is adorable! Very clean and had everything I needed/wanted. The host is very kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
Host provided clear instructions for property and inside the unit. A pretty basic space but perfect for a couple of people. We really enjoyed the deck outside and felt like we had enough privacy to do our own thing while staying. There is a grocery store across the street and a basic diner less than a block away - very convenient location! Would stay again!

Very nice
Charming quiet house. It worked well for our stay.
Always a great place to stay to see my college kid! Thanksgiving this time (since he couldn’t get home). See him and SDC for the holiday! Happy Thanksgiving!
We had the pleasure of staying in the Cairo Cottage. Even during a very cold, windy, and snowy spell the cottage was warm and comfortable. We loved the decor and amenities. It is well stocked and larger than it appears in the photos. Host was very nice.
Cozy property with many conveniences! New college mom looking for a close place to come stay for a visit. Glad we found this one! Did not disappoint! This will be a must stay for future visits.
LOVED this little studio! I went back home for holiday events and just wanted something private and easy. This place is perfect for one or two people to enjoy. Well thought out and sensible with amenities. Nicely converted space that is comfortable, separate from the main living area, and felt very tucked away. In a very easily accessible space within Springfield. Appreciated being able to park at the end of a long driveway. Good lighting, very clean, nice materials and furniture. Enjoyed every bit of it!

Clean, cute, great value , attention to detail evident
Beautifully decorated, hardwood floors nicely framed artwork and dark wood furniture , very comfy beds with nice sheets, easy to get in with code, perfect location for Evangel university graduation, stocked with extras like shampoo, great value for the six of us to stay, and I would stay here again if I came to town for sure. Also George's restaurant with great $3 breakfasts is right next door. Highly recommend to others. Things that would have been helpful - a full length mirror and muffin pan for making breakfast.
Overall fantastic experience and very cozy!

Those are both great suggestions! We'll add the full length mirror and muffin pan with inserts. I'm so glad you had a great stay and are welcome back any time!!
Cheryl has lived in Springfield for several years and is a nurse at Mercy Hospital here in town. Originally from Iowa, Cheryl moved to Missouri in 1983 and lived in the Ozark countryside until 2006 when she moved to the 'city' to be closer to her grandkids.
Why they chose this property
Cheryl purchased this property after renting it for a year and falling in love with it. Since she bought the home she has spent years on fixing it up to it's current loving condition. She also added a loft apartment that is very modern in the upstairs space, with a separate entrance.
What makes this property unique
This home was built in 1939 by a well known area builder named Carl Bissman who constructed many of the larger homes on Historic Walnut Street one block south. This year the original hardwood floors were refinished to bring back the shine and feel. The arched front door is a feature not seen on many homes, and also features an archway between the dining and living room. The whole house was recently updated with a new electrical system, high efficient HVAC and water heater, all new lighting, new appliances, and fresh warm paint colors throughout.
