- good couch and chairs (couch pulls out to Queen bed) - bought Sept. 2015
- washer and dryer so you can do laundry in the comfort of the condo

- and in Oct. 2016 we bought a new Port-a-Crib and collapsible stroller for guests bringing their smaller guests
We are the proud owners of this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo located on the west coast of Maui in the Honokowai region. Located 5 miles north of downtown Lahaina, the Paki Maui condo resort is oceanfront and right next door to Honokowai Beach Park, where the kids can enjoy a playground and beach. Enjoy the ocean views of Molokai and Lanai'i from the Paki Maui lawn: sip your morning coffee while watching the waves come in or sometimes turtles feeding on the reefs (or even watch humpback whales November - April) and come back later with a Mai Tai to watch the beautiful sunset over the Pacific.
We consider our beautifully remodeled condo as our second home, and yours: you won't be roughing it as you'll enjoy the modern amenities, from the granite kitchen countertops and tile floors throughout to the claw-foot bathtub great for bathing the little ones after a day at the beach. As well, we've installed a 48 inch Samsung LED HD TV (Sept. 2016) where you can stream free Netflix movies from an online library, using our Netflix account. Enjoy breakfast on the private lanai off the family room or take a well-deserved afternoon nap on one of the chaise lounges on the other lanai off the master bedroom.
Our intention is to provide a great value for families - affordable yet upscale at the same time. The master bedroom has a Cal King bed, the guest bedroom has a Queen bed, and the couch in the family room has a comfortable Queen size fold out bed (bought in Sept. 2015). Plus in Oct. 2016 we bought a Port-a-Crib and collapsible stroller (remove child first!) to accommodate guests with small children so you don't have to haul those items from home. And you'll notice that we won't charge you for additional guests - our unit sleeps up to 6 people yet unlike other condo owners we won't charge you a fee for each person up to the 6. You can all cool down with the trade winds coming through both sliding glass doors, as well as ceiling fans in every room. We also have free wireless in the condo, high speed internet access, and cable HD Internet-enabled TV for streaming Netflix movies in the family room. As well, we had a washer/dryer installed in the condo.
Directly across the street you'll find the popular Farmers' Market every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for fresh local produce, fruit, breads and the like! Feel free to meander to the deli/market, grab some coffee at the Bad Ass Coffee company and shop at a number of stores across the street.
The Paki Maui grounds are meticulously maintained, with mango and banana trees, a tropical garden with exotic Hawaiian flowers, as well as a koi fish pond with waterfall. You will enjoy the pool and jacuzzi on the grounds plus can relax on the resort's lounge chairs on the lawn at the ocean and under the palm trees. And feel free to prepare your own meals on the gas BBQs available in the swimming pool area.

I have lived my whole life in northern California and have great memories of family vacations to Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz and sometimes even Maui. We love the ~5 mile proximity to downtown Lahaina if we want that tourist experience, yet Paki Maui isn't in the middle of that hustle and bustle.
What makes this Condo unique
We enjoyed watching the whales on our trip in March 2011 and February 2012. And the turtles are a favorite too! Quite simply, going down to the resort lawn in the morning with a cup of joe to watch the whales and turtles is magical.

Very nice apartment, we couldn't have asked more. Area is child friendy.
Very happy with our stay. The apartment was clean and it had everything we needed to enjoy Maui. Especially happy with the location, beach, pool, park, Badass cafe and Farmer's market! We we're not bothered by the street noise at all. We had the balcony doors open all the time. The area is baby/toddler friendly and Jill provided us with a stroller, crib and high chair (that made our stay very easy and pleasant). We will be back for sure!
Had everything we wanted!
Myself and 3 other guests loved our stay here. The place was well stocked with all the household amenities we needed. The unit felt very central (or a short drive, 10-20 mins) to amazing snorkel places, beaches, shops and restaurants. We loved that with the unit rental we had access to boogie boards, beach mats, pool noodles, umbrellas and a cooler, everything we needed for our beach days.
Jill was great at correspondence, with timely replies and informative emails.

Great deal for a great location!
We had such a wonderful time in Maui and part of it was because we had the perfect place to stay. It was great for three adults and two children. It is walking distance from Bad Ass Coffee as well as Java Jive, an amazing breakfast place. We loved watching the turtles tool around on the reef in the evenings and the pool was great fun for our kids, too. This unit is well kept and has a washer/dryer...which was amazing! There is some noise from the street and the park, but not enough to take away a star! It was quiet enough for me to nap on the lanai, so that's pretty good to me. Jill was a very attentive owner, always responding immediately when we had questions before the trip and even checking in by email while we were there. This location is also close to local beaches and delicious restaurants (thank you for the list, Jill!). I highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants to visit Maui but who wants to have money to spend while there!

Great location, wonderful amenities and nice condo.
Condo was clean, well stocked with necessities and nicely decorated. Perfect two bedroom, two bath for our group. Nice walk to the ocean with chairs set out to enjoy the view. Pool and hot tub right by the ocean. Grills poolside for cooking. The washer and dryer in the unit was also very convenient. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone wanting a relaxing stay on Maui.

Paki Maui 227---the BEST family vacation
This is our second stay at Jill's condo. For Christmas (and birthdays) this year I treated myself and my 2 adult kids and partners to a one week vacation in Maui and of course we stayed at Jill's again. The place is meticulously clean, well furnished ,and has everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation in her well stocked locker. It suited us wonderfully -- it is spacious and comfortable, without being crowded. We LOVE the proximity to the Farmers Market (you have to try the passion fruit cream cheese), the Maui Fish Market and of course Bad Ass Coffee (every morning). There's nothing better than hanging out on the chaise lounges on the Paki Maui lawn to enjoy the sunset and watch the turtles eat off the reefs. You have your choice of dipping in the ocean or the pool or taking a quick trip to check out other snorkeling beaches-- life doesn't get any better. In addition, Jill is a 'hands on' owner and we're happy to work with her personally rather than through a rental management agency. Overall our stay in early March was wonderful - we definitely plan to stay at Jill’s condo again!

Property is worn and old looking. Grass area in the front of the building needs a lot of work.
This unit is very nice inside and we love the location of the building compared to the surrounding amenities i.e. farmers market and grocery store. However this unit is at the end and faces the street and public park. The noise from the street is very loud. We had to close all the windows and lanai doors. The after hours activities in the public park are not family friendly i.e. marijuana smoke and public drinking. The garbage bins are located directly below this unit and they are emptied at 5am every second morning. Not the alarm clock you want when on holidays. The stairwell is not well lit at night and my mother fell down the stairs as she was not able to see well enough. We loved the unit itself but not its location and will not be renting it again.
Aloha Patricia, I'm glad you appreciated the upkeep and condition of my condo as well as enjoyed the farmer's market across the street and nearby grocery store. I'm sorry you found other, external factors troublesome. After I received your email about the stairwell lighting, I immediately notified Paki Maui so they can address it. And others making too much noise is a good reason for you to notify security - sorry that happened. My place is an affordable option for guests – my rental rates are much lower than a comparable condo right on the water. So I guess it’s a trade-off for the guest: my partial ocean view at a much more affordable rate or right on the water for much more money. Actually, I’m in escrow on another unit that’s direct oceanview so (fingers crossed!) I will be able to offer future potential guests a choice. 😊�Again, sorry the stay wasn't perfect in your eyes. I do my very best to make sure guests are happy and we respond ASAP if there's an issue that we can control. From this point, I can only send you my best wishes! Mahalo, Jill
