About this property
Pet-Friendly Tiny Home Near Lake Guntersville
Unplug in a cozy nautical-inspired tiny home just minutes from Lake Guntersville, downtown, and City Harbor. This pet-friendly retreat offers a queen bedroom, twin loft, full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, firepit, and onsite dog park. Perfect for couples, small families, and remote workers, Heron Haus sits on 12 peaceful acres at Knot Working Tiny Town.
Inside the tiny home, you’ll find an efficient layout that feels bright and comfortable—not cramped.
Living area – Relax on the loveseat with soft pillows and blankets while you stream your favorite shows on the Smart TV with Roku. The bar-height counter offers seating for two for meals, laptops, or card games.
Full kitchen – Cook simple snacks or full dinners with full-size appliances, pots and pans, baking essentials, sharp knives, toaster, blender, French press, Keurig with starter pods, and basic spices.
Queen bedroom – Close the door and enjoy a real bedroom with a comfy queen mattress, hotel-quality linens, blackout curtains for deep sleep, dresser and closet storage, luggage rack, full-length mirror, bedside lamps, and a 50 inch Smart TV.
Loft – The loft features two twin mattresses with cozy bedding, best suited for active adults or older kids who are comfortable with loft access.
Bathroom – The private bathroom includes a walk-in shower, vanity, plush towels, hair dryer, and starter toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash).
Fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace area make it easy to answer a few emails or work remotely between adventures.
Outdoor space
Step outside onto your deck to sip morning coffee and watch the valley wake up, or grill and enjoy dinner al fresco. In the shared firepit area, gather around the flames under the stars and play a round of cornhole or horseshoes.
If you’re traveling with dogs, they’ll love the onsite dog park—an easy way to get their zoomies out before you head to the lake.
We get it—rules aren’t exactly the highlight of vacation! But a few friendly guidelines help keep the good vibes rolling for you, your fellow travelers, and future guests. Think of them less like rules and more like tips for making your stay (and everyone else’s) awesome. Thanks for helping us keep Knot Working fun, cozy, and welcoming for all! A booking constitutes complete acceptance of listing description and house rules.
1. Up to 4 Guests allowed. All overnight guests (including pets) must be registered at time of booking. No third party bookings. If you live within 20 miles of our property, please contact your host prior to booking.
2. Lofts are best suited for active adults and older children, require the use of steps and a low ceiling entry/exit. During the extreme hot summer months, these lofts can get warm. We do offer fans in the loft areas to help move warm air.
3. Parking is only available beside each of the cabins for (1) one car or back to front by the firepit. Please do not park in front of the cabin or in the street. Boat parking must fit beside firepit backed in. Extra parking located in front of the RV park by the tree.
4. We are unable to refund on non-refundable discounted reservations, cancellations outside our cancellation policy, inclement weather, power outages, road conditions or acts of God. Please purchase travel insurance for any unforeseen events.
5. For PET FRIENDLY CABINS ONLY. Pet Policy:
Pets must be disclosed at time of booking and pet fee paid prior to check in. Please no dogs over 50 lbs.
If your pet is not added at the time of reservation and you would like to bring your dog, please let us know and we will offer payment options.
Please use the provided couch cover and old sheets to protect our furniture and linens. We provide small garbage bags for refuse clean up. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. This is not included in the cleaning fee.
6. Knot Working Tiny Town assumes no responsibility for items left behind. Please make sure to gather all items prior to checking out.
7. We provide a nice, clean home for our guests. Our cleaning fee is based on a `courteous guest`. Additional costs may apply for extra cleaning. Long term (longer than 7 night) stays require a light bi-weekly clean.
8. No smoking of any substance inside the home or patio at any time.
9. Checkout time is any time prior to 10am.
Thank you for your understanding and helping us keep our cabins sparkling clean for our future guests and your return visits!

About the host
Hosted by Beth Hedgecock
I was born on the East Coast, grew up in the Midwest and have lived all over the world. After my husband retired as a helicopter pilot from the Army several years ago, work brought us back to North Alabama after having lived here on and off for the last 20 years.
As an experienced traveler and under the Knot Working brand, my husband and I strive to bring our travel experiences to our guests, providing the needed amenities for a comfortable stay. We love North Alabama and want to share it with the world!
We are hands off hosts and give everyone their space but don't mind hearing from you should any issues arise during your stay.
