Luna Cottage - Peaceful forest and calm river

Escape to our serene 4-season cottage, ideally located just 1h15 from Montreal — perfect for families, couples, and nature enthusiasts seeking a tranquil retreat. Our cozy hideaway is nestled deep in its own private forest, with high-speed internet throughout.

The cottage is in the forest. It offers private access to the peaceful L'Assomption river, about a 5-minute walk away along a private forest path, where a spacious floating dock, 2 double kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and pool noodles wait for endless aquatic fun.

Right in front of the cottage, children and adults alike can enjoy the playground and a large 12-foot trampoline — the ideal setting for both relaxation and active fun.

The cottage stands alone at the end of its own driveway, private forest on every side: no neighbours in sight, no passing traffic, nothing to hear but the woods. It's an oasis of calm, ideal for disconnecting. During your stay you might meet the local wildlife — deer, rabbits, porcupines and all kinds of birds.

Explore the surrounding area for a variety of outdoor adventures. Stunning hiking trails with waterfalls, lakes and mountains await. Skiers will appreciate the nearby slopes at Val St-Côme, Montcalm and Ski Montagne Coupée. For a touch of relaxation, consider a spa day at Centre Le Rituel Massothérapie or La Source, and don't miss the excitement at St-Jean-de-Matha Super Glissades and Abraska.

For cozy evenings in: a full kitchen, a wood stove, laundry, air conditioning for warm days, a collection of classic DVDs and a Smart TV with Crave streaming. Pets are welcome.

To make the most of the snowy season we provide snowshoes for adults and sleds. Guests can slide down the hill on the rang — an area reachable only from our cottage and closed to the public, so your winter adventures stay entirely private.





Important considerations:



Winter accessibility — The road leading to the cottage includes a steep section that can be challenging in icy or snowy conditions. The city maintains the public roads, but weather can affect access. An SUV or 4x4 is highly recommended in winter; otherwise bring traction aids (tire chains or cleats). A driveway snow-removal service is available on request.

River — The river is about a 5-minute walk away along a private path, with a noticeable slope near the water. The path is not suitable for guests with disabilities or reduced mobility.

Security cameras — Motion-sensor cameras cover the driveway and the river-equipment area — exterior only. There are no cameras inside the cottage.

Noise — Please respect the tranquility of the area and municipal noise regulations, particularly after 11 PM. The cottage is not suitable for loud parties.

Trampoline — Please follow the trampoline safety guidelines provided in the cottage guide. Adult supervision at all times; max load 118 kg (260 lb).

Cleaning — We kindly ask that the BBQ, oven and microwave be cleaned after use. If these appliances are left excessively dirty and require additional cleaning, the following charges apply:
