Beautiful spot for cross country skiing

  • 5 of 5

The description of the cabin was exactly what we found - no surprises at all. It was very close to town and a beautiful historic downtown with beautiful art galleries. Despite being so close to everything, it felt secluded away in the woods. We were able to cross country ski right near the cabin which was beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners helpful.

Perfect Home Base for a Long Trip!

  • 4 of 5

The Trail House was the perfect home away from home. We enjoyed the quietness of the surrounding area, the beautiful deer, Dana and Byron (the owners) were wonderful and the overall 10 day trip was very relaxing. The house has all the amenities that you need, from a blow dryer and bath towels, to plenty of kitchen items like pots and pans. I would have gave the entire stay 5 out of 5 stars but the outside lighting on the house wasn't working at all and that was a bummer for us as we like to sit outside in the evening and relax with a nice beverage. Overall the place was clean, bed linens were soft, extra pillows and blankets a plus, centrally located to shopping and close to Kalispell - excellent house in the woods for those looking to escape from the every day hustle and bustle of city life like us! Thank you Dana and Byron for opening your home to us! We enjoyed every last bit of our 10 days!

RELAXING, COMFORTABLE, QUIET

  • 4 of 5

Trail House is set in a wooded area with no close neighbors. This made the house very quiet day and night. There is a full size kitchen stocked with lots of cookware/dishes/silverware/glasses of all types/mugs/even some spices, washer and dryer, very comfortable couch, nice size television, good size table to eat, nice size bedroom with a soft chair to sit, and bathroom has a tub/shower combo. We sat outside in the chairs provided in the evenings reading books enjoying the wonderful Montana weather. You feel like you are far away from a city, but actually you are a short walk into downtown Bigfork. You are also very close to Flathead National Park which has some fabulous hikes. We highly recommend staying at Trail House when visiting Bigfork area.

beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Its a cozy cabin, tucked away at the top of a short driveway in a nice, quiet location. Easy access to walk downtown or the nature trail that follows the river. The owner was available and flexible with our later arrival. Things were easy to find and all the amenities we needed were there. We spent most of our time in Glacier, but enjoyed coming back late evenings to this nice cabin.

Magical Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, natural setting, beside trail & river, yet close walk to town. Cabin was spacious and well furnished with everything you need to feel comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked and looks

out onto the deer's evening grazing area. Very friendly owner/host with good communication.

He helped us feel at home and we look forward to returning to this little piece of paradise!
