Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
Sally Gap cabin is located 8 miles east of Hayesville, in the peaceful community of Shooting Creek. We are located just 10 minutes from beautiful Lake Chatuge. Our 4 acre property is bordered by a babbling creek on one side and wonderful views of mountains on the other.
The large, two acre meadow is the perfect spot for enjoying fireflies, picking blackberries, viewing the creek and enjoying the creekside fire ring. During the winter months occasional snow fall allows for sledding down the meadow hill.
The cabin itself is furnished with carefully chosen pieces and with conveniences of high speed internet including wifi, Direct TV and long distance phone; gas fireplace and central ac/heat and washer and dryer. A grill is located on the porch for those tasty meals waiting to be prepared.
Two private bedrooms--1 King, 1 queen along with an additional queen sleeping area and full bath are located on the first level. The convenient kitchen, den and garden bath are located on the second level. A window seat and inflatable mattress can accomodate an additional adult or a child or for lounging and catching up on reading while enjoying the view.
Pets allowed: We welcome well mannered dogs. They will have a blast exploring the meadow and the creek.
Numerous attivities are found in the area:

I am a dentist in Florida and my vacations are spent at the cabin in North Carolina. I love the peacefulness of the area and the many activities available. We take our dogs with us when we go and they love to romp in the meadow and play in the creek. We love the local restaurants in the area and we have also rented pontoon boats to cruise Lake Chutuge. Antiquing is another favorite past time.
Ginger purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Ginger chose Shooting Creek
Hayesville is a small town and not as built up as some nearby towns. The scenery in the area is beautiful and calming-- a great get-away from the rat race of city life. Our mountain cabin has a remote feel, but is easily accessible year round
What makes this Cabin unique
Peace and tranquility! Close to restaurants and grocery store yet far enough out so it's quiet. Love looking at the stars at night and sitting by the fire cooking marshmellows. Watching our dogs romp in the meadow and play in the creek is fun.

Beautiful Pet Friendly Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin. The meadow was amazing for the kids and dog to play in. Very quiet area. Was very peaceful and rejuvenating. Plan to go back each spring.
Great, quiet and beautiful place
Our family really enjoyed the stay at the Sally Gap cabin, has beautiful views, it's quiet, we'll definitely will return.
Relaxing family vacation
Everything was just perfect. The cabin wonderful, it had everything we needed and was very cozy. I think the wood walls and kitchen were my favorite part inside the cabin. The cabin has been updated and decorated beautifully. The window seat on the second floor was always occupied by someone.
The deck was also a family favorite. You could even hear the creek from the deck and the view was spectacular! The kids and dog loved the meadow, so much open space for them to run around. At nights we roasted marshmallows at the campfire which is right next to the creek.
The layout of the cabin is a little different as the bedrooms are downstairs and you have to walk outside to go upstairs to the kitchen and living area, but we didn't mind this at all. The beds were also very comfortable to sleep on.
Overall, my family had a fantastic time, it was exactly what we were looking for.
Christine: I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. We live the porch also and being able to hear the creek is a plus. We hope you are able to stay with is again!
Cabin sweet cabin
This place was perfect. We never wanted to leave.
I know how you feel. We feel the same way when we have to leave. So glad you enjoyed. Please come and stay again.
Once again we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Peaceful setting with everything we needed. The creek is my favorite spot! Loved the new deck and porch.
