Channel Charmer is a newly remodeled home aiming to please. Ideal for the traditional Michigan inland lake vacation!

Located on one of Gun Lake channels that provides beautiful views of the lake. Featuring 3 bed 2 bath and has plenty of room for six guests to spread out. The home is designed with an open floor plan concept, the kitchen is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with the basics to cook a home cooked meal or grill out on the back patio. The back patio offers views of the lake and is a great spot to cozy up next to the fire pit. Go fishing or enjoy an evening cocktail and watch the sunset from the end of the private dock. Not only is this a great summer rental, it makes for a great winter rental as well. Gun Lake is a prime spot for ice fishing and enjoying a try Michigan Winter. Gun Lake is located half way between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, all while being a less than hour's drive from Lake Michigan

Nice short-term stay

Overall a pleasant stay. Nice layout & furnishings. FYI, the front door needs to be looked at. The hinge is missing screws & must be manually put back in place each time you come in. Also, directions to say to start the dishwasher but there was no dishwasher soap.

Very Nice

The property was clean providing everything we needed, clean linens, full kitchen needs, clean bathrooms, comfortable temperature control and professional communications (when needed) with property management. There were only two minor complaints, outdoor fire pit (propane) was not working and there were some small ants in the kitchen, but not a lot.

Fishing Trip

This place was fine. It met our needs. Some small things make it a 4 vs a 5. Ants in the kitchen cabinets (if my wife was along this would have escalated to a big thing. The outside space Was very small. No grass just concrete and asphalt. The boat dock was a bit sketchy.

The home was great, it was furnished with everything. The home is very clean. The home was invested with ants and needed to be treated. The patio and furniture needed to be washed off. The dock was not accessible due to overgrown foliage. Weeds around property need to be sprayed. Neighbors behind property are very weird. Would I rent this property again, absolutely yes.

Good location for Wedding at Baypoint

I don’t believe the rental was cleaned! No sheets on beds just lying on top. Dishes full in dishwasher dirty, not organized freezer hadn’t been wiped out! Drink glasses down in pot and pan cabinet. 2 coffee pots neither worked no “coffee bar” NO supplies

Hello There, Thank you for your feedback. We no longer have that cleaner working for us. Again our apologies. As a general rule the top bunk beds have the fitted sheet place and then we leave the flat sheet and quilt/comforter. It is kind of a standard in the area. Our sincerest apologies that the coffee maker was not working. We do have an emergency hotline for our guests to reach out to us if there are problems. Also, this particular homeowner does not supply coffee essentials (there are quite a few homeowners that use VRBO and other third-party platforms and they do not offer coffee essentials). Again our apologies and your concerns have been addressed.

Overall this is a nice place, but there were some inaccuracies with the listing and some concern items found with the property. The bed sizes listed are inaccurate. The listed king size measures as a full-sized bed. The floor is uneven and wasn't leveled prior to the laminate being installed. Also, the living room area rug keeps curling up and is a tripping hazard. The hot water has a strong smell, indicating that there might be a bacterial issue with the water heater. WiFi is strong and stable. The rental agency is very responsive and friendly. Recycling service would be a nice improvement. There is a hornet's nest over the front door that needs to be addressed. The location is nice as there is a grocery store a very short drive away.

HEllo Phillip, Thank you for your review. This is a fairly new property in our program. We do appreciate your feedback and we have reached out to the homeowners regarding getting new area rugs. We just had one of our maintenance people go to add salt pellets for the water softner - so thath issue has been addressed. We have been consistently been working with our third-party booking platforms (the information on website is correct) but there has been some glitches with the third-party platforms with inforamtion not showing up correctly. We did reach out our accouint manager to rectify adn make sure the information for this property is correct. Again we greatly appreciate your feedback and understanding. Best, Anne

Underwhelming

Upon arrival the exterior of the property looked abandoned. The front landscape beds and parking area were grown over with high weeds. The unit was clean. However, the twin beds were not made and some of the linens (pillow cases were missing). We found some extra in another room to use. The television in the main room is dated and cannot be updated with newer streaming apps. This was extremely aggravating as some of my party wanted to watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics on network television and the main television in the Unit could not even pick up NBC. The slab of the building is damaged and the floor slopes heavily toward the channel in the rear. It sloped to the extent that members of my party lost their footing and nearly fell multiple times. I could feel the slope lying in bed, which was unnerving. In short, it felt unsafe. Finally, a minor annoyance, but the keurig had no coffee. In a small community with no coffee shop nearby, it was annoying to see a basket full of everything except coffee. All in all, the experience was underwhelming. I left three stars because the house was clean, but we will not be returning when we visit the area.
