About Karen Gould
I am a registered nurse currently working in the area of school health. Every day is different and unpredictable. Interacting with the students make my job rewarding and fun. I love to cook (I have all the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks), sew and travel.
Karen Gould purchased this House in 1976
Why Karen Gould chose Geneva
Grandview Manor has been our family home since 1976. I have so many great memories to cherish. The summers were especially memorable. What child wouldn't enjoy having the lake in their backyard? Instant fun! We enjoyed picnics with family and friends with plenty of room for everyone and lots of activities. After the sun went down, we would go to Geneva-On-The-Lake and join the fun.
What makes this House unique
The Grandview Manor is less than 1 mile from Geneva State Park. The property is private and quiet. One of my favorite things to do is wake up early to sip my tea in the gazebo and watch the sunrise over the lake.

Fantastic reunion location
Once again our group of eight enjoyed our reunion at Grandview Manor! Accommodations were wonderful and the weather was perfect! Nightly bonfires and beautiful sunsets each night! Couldn't have asked for more! We look forward to a return trip very soon!
Beautiful, spacious home with plenty of room for many guests.
We had 3 couples stay for 3 nights. The place is huge and we loved the antiques and character of the home. We will most likely book again!!
Thank you so much for your review! We also love that there is so much room to spread out and relax...that's what vacationing is all about! We look forward to seeing you next year!
A most wonderful vacation!
Our entire stay was so relaxing...lots of room for our big family and lots of charm, too.
Spacious, clean and thoroughly enjoyable.
The property was quite nice with interesting notes of intriguing furnishings. The house layout was excellent, the kitchen spacious and well stocked with utensils and equipment. The bedrooms were large and three of the four showcased Lake Erie in both view and sound. All enjoyed the sound of the waves each night. The grounds were large and included a gazebo and fire pit.
We did some swimming right off the property and at a state park just to the east and within walking distance. Also, nearby was a town on the lake and another town a few minutes away which had a killer hardware store.
Vineyards were everywhere which yielded a number of restaurants with fine local vintages. Covered bridges were easy to find and interesting in their history. During our stay, we were fortunate enough to overlap with the Ashtabula county fair near Jefferson, OH. Again, a winning family experience.
Finally, we experience a couple of minor issues which were addressed quickly by the local manager and verified by the owner. Our stay was enhanced by this; Impressive!
All in all, a wonderful time was had by all. Truly a very nice place situated in an interesting part of Ohio.
Great stay. Loved the town, view and time with family
House was very nice. Plenty of room and very accommodating for all. Loved the big bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen was great and cooked most our meals.
Thanks for a great week
Great family getaway!
We are an extended family of 11, including three generations. Our weeklong vacation at Grandview Manor was restful as well as exciting. We really enjoyed the gazebo for reading and card playing and the well stocked kitchen for preparing meals. During the week, there was something for everyone, from winery visits to swimming and kayaking, watching sunsets to walking the Strip. We enjoyed discovering a placid lake from which to launch an inflatable boat, as well as taking photos of the smallest and largest covered bridges in Ohio. Truly one of our best vacations!
We are so happy that you were able to enjoy this special place, just as we have year after year with family and friends! We hope that this is the beginning of a wonderful tradition and would love to have you visit us again at Grandview Manor.
