Lahaina Shores condominiums survived the 2023 fire in Lahaina with minimal damage to the mountain-facing facade and 7th floor roof. The surrounding neighborhood is being slowly rebuilt. Two new homes next door to the condos also survived. 505 Front Street, a well known shopping complex, did not survive and has not begun reconstruction. Lahaina Towne proper was also lost, including all commercial and restaurant areas around the world famous Banyon Tree. Lahaina Shores is an oasis on the ocean. If you want to be away from the huge hotels and 1,000's of tourists, then our condo is your place!

Highly Recommended

The property is as described, Everything was perfect. The apartment was clean and well appointed. The location of the property is ideal. Right on the edge of town, everything within easy walking distance. We found no need for a rental car until venturing out to other parts of the island. We will definitely return!

Beautiful place to stay

The unit was well appointed, new appliances, pots and pans. The view from the 3rd floor is a million dollar view. We felt safe there and had our windows open all night to hear the gentle waves. The owner was prompt in fulfilling our requests for more towels and Internet questions. I will stay here again! It’s my happy place!

Great location

Great location of the property! Beautiful relaxing ocean view! Nice balcony facing the water. This property needs some maintenance of light bulbs change. Most important thing, the property needs urgent pest control visit! Bugs everywhere! Getting into bed, food and in your morning coffee!

Amazing Sunset Views

I just love this property. Steps from the ocean and 2 blocks from downtown Lahaina makes for an awesome variety of experiences. The property manager was quick to respond to questions and everything went smooth from check in to check out.

Wonderful Condo in Beautiful Location

This property was exceptional. The location offered wonderful ocean views and you can easily hear the waves breaking on the shoreline. The sunsets from the balcony were amazing. The pool and loungers available were perfect. There are several shops and restaurants close-by. Plus, there are many shops and restaurants just up Front Street, all within walking distance. The property had more than enough room for the two of us. Living room furniture and bed were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Kitchen was so nice and well equipped. Bathroom was modern and roomy. Patio furniture met our needs for breakfast and evening sunset viewing. Plus, the washer and dryer in the hallway nearby the unit were a real bonus. Plenty of chairs and other items were available in the unit to take with you on a beach day. Finally, convenient parking was available in the adjacent parking garage for a nominal $3 per day. We had a great stay and would love to come back again.

Convenient but somewhat tired property with great ocean view

The Lahiana Shores building was built years ago (I'm pretty sure it was a hotel back in the early 80's, when we first visited Maui, probably well before that). This unit was probably a condo conversion along the way. Facing the Lahiana bay/ ocean front it is 15 paces to the water. Everything worked fine. I never was able to find a working wifi access point. Front desk gave me a non working code and owner said it was in a book that I never found. The lanai patio is most enjoyable. We had breakfast and happy hour there daily The building and to some degree the room were just a little dated and tired. Needs a swiffer to clean sand off floors. But if you are looking for a reasonable priced room close to Lahiana, consider this one.

Beautiful Place

We loved our 9 day stay at Lahaina Shores! We had an ocean front room and spent so much time on our lanai just enjoying the amazing ocean views! The grounds are kept pristine and there are plenty of lounge chairs to go around. Pool and hot tub are in great shape and are cleaned everyday! Just on our way to the Maui airport to head home and we are already planning our trip back next year!

Lahaina Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed the property. It was perfect for my Wife and I as we were working along with taking in a little leisure time. The view was spectacular and the overall common areas of the property was great! We would like to stay there again on our next visit to Lahaina!

Love Lahaina

Rents for 3 people but the third has to sleep on a couch that does not make into a bed and no blanket was provided so we had to buy one.

Great vacation

We really enjoyed our short vacation to Lahaina. We come to Hawaii 1-2 times a year and have not stayed in Lahaina in some time. This property was perfect location. Close to the harbor and shops and with great amenities so you could easily stay just on the property or next door (try Betty’s) The room is outfitted well for a couple. I could see one small kid not minding sleeping on the couch. The view is amazing. The turtles were out (just past whale season but I bet this place in February is amazing for whale watching). FYI there is grocery delivery that we took advantage of at Foodland. We had one small issue with the WiFi that was easily addressed. We will be coming back and maybe try the surf lessons next door :)Thanks so much!

The property is exactly as listed and spotless! Richard provided everything we needed for our stay; Beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas etc! Loved every minute and would definitely rebook!

Unbeatable location

Property was well sized with a well equipped and kitchen comfortable kitchen. WiFi was good and we really appreciated the towels and beach chairs. Furniture was dated and could use a deep clean. We struggled to get an extra blanket since the unit wasn’t serviced by the building and there was no guestbook providing contact info for the company that did service the building. We made do in the end. Property was in a great location - right on the water with a beautiful beach and walking distance to Lahaina. Pool and hot tub were great!

Shortcomings and pluses

Toilet runs intermittantly. Shower hard to adjust to preferred temperature. Hall door very hard to open; it took both of us to push open and/or pull open. No can opener available; had to borrow one. Balcony chairs uncomfortable (poor padding). TV hard to see (too small screen). Wonderful view from balcony. Lahaina Shores property well maintained. Convenient to downtown Front St. Thank you Richard!!!

Beachfront on Maui

Not sure you'd find a better location beachfront for the price. The room is basically a hotel room with a kitchen but you aren't there to spend time in the room. The balcony was nice if hot during the afternoon. We went to the Feast at Lele luau next door, great service and show food was uhm. Better food at the bars/restaurants next door and in town, though it is a little walk to the town. Would recommend having a car next time, although then you'd have to pay to park it so! Plus it looked like it might be a bit hard to find parking closer than our walk. All kitchen essentials and beach chairs in the room were helpful, as well as cooler provided! We thought the pool might be noisy at night but they shut it down by 9 or 10 and it was quiet in the AM for coffee on the balcony (plus shady in AM out there). Lots of coral and rocks in the water, just a short sand beach, recommend buying floats for the ocean (there was a boogie board and scuba gear in the condo too!)

Well equipped/ Excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Did not have a car and never missed it. We could walk everywhere and did tours from the harbor. We’re glad to walk to and from dinner. Pools and beach access perfect. This condo has more than what you need for an amazing week in paradise! We would return!

Wonderful condo

The condo was super clean and well stocked for everything you need. Included was beach chairs, umbrella, sand mats, life vests for kids, and snorkeling equipment. The beach is steps away. The pool is large. Plenty of tables and chairs to use around the pool. Property even has a hot tub. Beach is good for snorkeling. Only a short walk down front street to the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

We loved this property. Had to be the best value in Lahaina if not all of Maui for an oceanfront studio. Beautiful sunsets and only a 5 minute walk from all that downtown Lahaina has to offer.

Perfect in every way!!

I don’t even know where to begin! Everything was amazing. The condo is very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, along with coolers, beach chairs, and beach towels. The condo staff was very helpful with any questions we had. Richard worked with us to help us extend our stay a few nights which was fabulous. The condo is just a few minute walk from downtown, which made it easy to grab food, drinks, coffee or go shopping. The sunsets are phenomenal right from the balcony. The beach is a pretty good size, which allowed us to hang out during the day or walk into town. We saw surfers almost everyday, along with whales right off of our balcony! (Whale season is peaking Feb-March). We rented a car (parking 3$ a day) and went up to Kaanapali (about a 12 min drive) to snorkel, which was breathtaking. Not to mention the west Maui mountains and the Blowhole are a must! To say the least the condo was perfect and centrally located to everything on this side of the island. We can’t thank Richard enough! We will definitely be coming back again! ~ Samantha & Chris

Disappointment

The unit itself is fine. Maui is, of course, paradise. Our stay began on March 4. A week or so prior to leaving, I contacted both the owner and VRBO wanting to cancel because of what was already clear about coronavirus. My contract said I would have to forfeit my deposit and I was willing to do that. We hadoorly written contract and an owner who doesn't understand the meaning of the word deposit. He should look it up sometime. I was told I would lose all our money and of course, it was safe to travel. I questioned whether it would be safe to travel when we came home. We spent our time on Maui watching the situation become more dire. Yes, we enjoyed time on Maui, but it was a strange time and a strange enjoyment. We stayed in the condo and avoided luaus and whale watching trips in order to avoid groups. As we left the island/state was being shut down behind us. Fortunately, we didn't see the protesters at the airport who were protesting against visitors/tourists. We're home nearly a week now and self-isolating because there is no way to know what we may have been exposed to in three airports and on two planes. We have immune compromised family members. I waited before writing this, hoping the owner or vrbo would at least reach out and acknowledge that they should have let us cancel. But he has his money ... which is apparently what is most important. Hopefully, we won't have COVID-19. We'll see what next week brings.

We live in Southern California and work in real estate and property management. Our kids are grown and we are looking forward to enjoying Lahaina more often!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

We first visited Lahaina in 2006 and stayed in a first floor one-bedroom unit with our kids. We loved it so much, we booked another trip about 6 months later, and we were hooked. When this Oceanfront unit came on the market, we made an offer immediately and I flew out to close the deal. We spent the next 90 days having it remodeled (a very close friend/contractor lived in Napili at the time and he oversaw the gutting and remaking of our unit.) Many of the other units in the building have been modeled after our unit, but none have the personal charm and decor that my wife has put into our condo and home away from home!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We fell in love with the location of the condo. Beachfront and ocean facing. At night we leave the sliding glass doors open and fall asleep to the crashing waves. Every morning we take 30-minute walk along the beach, going as far as we can east toward the million-dollar homes on the beach, and then turn around and walk all the way to the Port of Lahaina and watch the young surfers taking their lessons along the way. We snorkel right off of the beach in front of the building on days we don't want to drive to Kapalua or take a boat out to Molokini Island and Turtle Bay.
