You’re also close to some amazing inland adventures. A 30-minute drive brings you to Lubaantun, an ancient Maya site built entirely of mortarless stone. It's famous for its rounded corners and as the place where the mysterious “crystal skull” was allegedly discovered in the 1920s. Whether you’re a history buff or just love a good legend, it’s worth the visit.

About 25 minutes away is Big Falls, where you can go river tubing, ziplining through the jungle, or cool off in natural waterfalls. It’s a perfect day trip for nature lovers and families alike.
