This apartment is a true rarity within Paris, it took us three years to find it then a year to renovate and decorate. There are no hotels anywhere in Paris which could offer you the same river views, plus a sun drenched terrace. This is truly an exceptional apartment and an opportunity to live a real Parisian dream!
We want like minded people to rent and take care of it as they would their own home. Our house keeper of 7 years, will check you in and out and can be contacted at any time if you need assistance throughout your stay, she only speaks French and Spanish and a very little English, however she will call us on the phone so we can talk you through how the apartment works and answer any questions. If we are available we will be there to check you in ourselves.
Ile Saint Louis is the most central location in Paris as well as being one of the most beautiful. Staying on the island is a true luxury and staying in this apartment will add to the pure magic of it all! Ile Saint Louis is one of the most prettiest and safest areas in Paris, and after living in Paris for over 10 years would never ever consider living anywhere else!
Ile Saint Louis is known for its specialty boutiques and picturesque streets plus location wise everything is on your door step, starting with Notre Dame, a 4 minute walk, the famous Marais area, an 8 minute walk, the Louvre, a gorgeous 20 minute stroll plus Musee D’Orsay, Pompidou Centre and Palais Royal, place des Vosges, Jardin des Tuileries, Concorde and Champs Elysées are just close by on foot. On the other side of Ile Saint Louis you have the Latin Quarter, Jardins du Luxembourg, Saint-Germain and le Jardin des Plantes.
The apartment is on the 5th and 6th floor with elevator access of a 17th Century building. The other residents are French and of high standing and this is one of 5 apartments in the building. It is bathed in sunlight all day, sun streams in over the balcony (north) all morning then by early afternoon the sun in coming through the French doors and bay window onto the terrace.
The entrance to the apartment has sun streaming in early morning, there is a built in cupboard for hiding jackets and umbrellas, to the left under the stairs which lead to the upstairs living area there is the toilet with a hand basin and to the right is the bedroom.
The bedroom is therefore on the entrance level, it has original windows and a sky light which sun pours though and an opaque blind to shut it out if desired, it is truly so light and airy. It has large built in wardrobes, a brand new large double bed 160cm x 200cm with a new mattress and a chest of drawers. There is plenty of lighting and reading lights, plus a large mirror. There is an AC unit in the bedroom, this is a free standing movable unit on wheels and not a central system.
Take the stairs to the first level and you arrive at the open plan 35sq2 meter living and entertaining area. The ceilings are high and have beautiful original polished beams, its so spacious and light even on a grey day! There is a balcony which receives the morning sun and over looks the Seine, perfect for a quick coffee before exploring the city. Then there is a 5 m2 terrace with table and chairs which is perfect for outdoor entertaining. The 18th century French doors open directly onto this and the sun drenches this from 2pm until 7pm. There is also another AC unit in the living area, once again this is a free standing movable unit on wheels, not a central system.
The view from the apartment balcony is simply breathtaking, very very hard to come by. You are in the most stunning city in the world, 6 floors up overlooking the most beautiful river embroidered with bridges and the world’s most historical monuments everywhere you look! This view of Paris is particularly rare to come by unless you own a river front apartment 6 floors up on this particular street, interestingly there are no hotels in Paris which have river views so this apartment is a real find! You can see from the Champs de Elysees all the way to Bastille plus in-between, Sacred Coeur, the Louvre, Hotel de Ville Pompidou center, Bastille.
The view from the terrace is a typical French rooftop view. Red terracotta tiles and chimneys and the elites rooftop terraces , plus you can see the Pantheon and the Montparnasse tower. No one looks onto you or is beside you so you are in your own private cocoon. Perfect for a chilled glass of French champagne or ice cold rose!
The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances, a descending oven and an ascending ventilator. There is an oven, microwave, clothes washing machine which dries and a dishwasher, two cooking elements plus a toaster and a jug, everything you need for making a three course meal. There is a central bar which is great for eating meals, there are four stools and two hanging lights. Meals can be prepared and eaten here, or on the terrace. In summer, we install a movable AC unit in the bedroom. There are 3 fans in the flat.
The living area has a couch and two confortable armchairs. There is a coffee table plus a large screen television with international channels such as BBC.
The bathroom or washroom has Italian floor and wall tiles and a window which morning sun streams through. It’s a fantastic sensation have a shower in the sun! Although small it is perfectly functional and bright and pristine.
This is just a spectacular apartment and will only enhance your stay in Paris. Everyone who enters has to catch their breath at the view and it is very rare to find this type of apartment, with a lift on the Ile Saint Louis!
This is such a great opportunity to make your stay in Paris truly unforgettable.
We have a car service we can offer too. We have been using Chan and his services ourselves for years, he has a lovely big Mercedes with aircon. He can do pick ups and drop offs to the airport which is great as you can avoid the taxi queue plus grumpy taxi drivers! He will be there to greet you and help with luggage and speaks great English.
His fee is 90 euros one way to airport. 160 euros round trip (Taxis are normally 60 to 80 euros to CDG)

We are an English/French couple and this apartment was a labour of love and is furnished with may personal items. We just love this place, it really is so beautiful, bright and homely.
William purchased this apartment in 2010
It is truly the best location in Paris, you are in the middle of the city but then hidden away from the hussel and bussel of it all. You can walk everywhere and the best restaurants and shops are all walking distance from the apartment.
Croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice on the balcony over looking the Seine in the morning sun and chilled rose and cheese on the terrace in the evening sun! The views are simply stunning!
I just stayed in this amazing apartment a few weeks ago. The entire experience from start to finish was wonderful! Guillaume always responded quickly to all inquiries prior to check in, making the entire process run extremely smoothly. The apartment itself is in an unbelievable location right in the center of Paris but with a quiet neighborhood feel. The terraces are amazing and I still miss having our morning croissants from the bakery around the corner out there. I highly recommend renting this apartment!
We stayed in this apartment in 2014, and loved it so much we always wanted to return. The apartment did not disappoint on this second visit. It is extremely well fitted out, and so handy to everything.
Easy walking distance to sights, or river boat stops. Metro stations close by. The little balcony overlooking the Seine is the absolute best and we spent our breakfast times there, as well as having our lunch and evening drinks. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the living room well equipped with anything you might need.
The owners are a pleasure to deal with, and nothing too much trouble.
We highly recommend this property.
My wife and I are just back from a 7 day stay here. We found the apartment to be charming, clean, and comfortable.
The Ile St. Louis is where you want to be. It feels very French to ride an elevator down, walk 50 steps and buy croissants for breakfast or a baguette for the day. There is a small but accommodating grocery store on the main street. Flowers, cheese, and wine shops are also steps away. There are several nice cafes where you can sit, sip a drink, watch the buskers on the bridge, and view the back of Notre Dame. An ATM is half a block from the apartment. You can hear Notre Dame's bells ring. Being up on the 5th (US 6th) floor keeps the street noise down, too.
The view of the Seine and the rooftops is exactly what the photos show and very few rental apartments can match it.
The owner Guillaume was very helpful with making arrangements. If anybody has any concerns about booking the apartment, feel free to contact me.
There is no metro stop on the Ile St. Louis but a short walk to St. Paul or Cite is easy. We found the Uber services in Paris to be affordable and very prompt. We never waited over 5 minutes for a pickup.
Also- I recommend that you splurge just a bit and hire the car service. After the long flight, you don't want to be hassled by an unfriendly taxi driver. Alex was waiting for us at the airport and took us to his Mercedes sedan parked nearby. He was prompt on the early morning return to the airport, too.
If you are unsure on renting an apartment vs. booking a hotel, give this a try. It is nice not to eat out every single meal. Also, one can pack fewer clothes because the apartment has a washer/dryer.
My wife and I enjoyed a week in October 2015. The flat is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The views are glorious. The bedroom is well-back and off the street, so it is remarkably quiet-great for sleeping after a long day trekking around Paris.
Just back from a week stay in this lovely apartment and all I can say is WOW! Better than described here, in fact I almost didn't want to write a review for fear that it will become so popular, we might never be able to stay again on our next visit to Paris.
Beyond fantastic views...great location...nicely furnished...lovely building...comfy bed & very quiet and wonderful owners. All the amenities provided for that perfect Paris visit. Thanks very much. Chris & Scott. See you next year.
This was our second time enjoying this apartment, and we were delighted again. The apartment is comfortable, well appointed, and the owners are friendly and responsive, but those aren't even the most important things! The views from this apartment are incredible. Incredible! From your perch you can see Sacre Coeur as the sun sets lighting up the sky. Below, the many people having picnics on the bank of the Seine while the tourist boats float by. Add a baguette, cheeses fruit & pate, and a bottle of Pomerol and life is pretty perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there and hope to return again soon!
