I am a native Wacoan. I currently operate a local real estate business here. It has been exciting to see downtown Waco and Baylor University's growth over the past few years. The beautiful Brazos River is starting to develop. Waco is happening!
Pam Whitworth purchased this house in 2012
This property is in such a great location for Baylor events, Cameron Park and all of the great places off the I-35 corridor.
Quiet pleasant neighborhood with a small park around the corner, makes this house a great spot for your group or family event.
House was very clean organized and great location. Worked for us very well and delivered on all promises it offered. Would definitely rent again.
I would like to say the owner of this place upgraded our internet when we had trouble which was nice of her to do. The location is good with shopping 5min away. Easy parking, clean home beautiful decorations
Problems we had:
The windows in the house don't open, none of them. It was stuffy so he had the AC on all the time
The TVs barely had any channels.
Internet was super slow until the owner fixed it
Lamp above oven doesn't work.
One of the best stocked homes I have rented. Kitchen had all spices, pots and pans for every cooking need. Towels and linens great quality and full size hair dryers. Great back yard with covered patio with comfortable furniture , fantastic propane grill and fun gamesprovided to play in the yard.TV room very comfortable !
Bedrooms separated nicely and beds very comfortable
This home was very nice to stay at. It was clean and well stocked. It had a lot of extra little amenities that other homes we've stayed at did not have.
We had a great girls getaway weekend and found that Waco has a lot more to offer than just Magnolia Market, thanks to the helpful info received from Owner. This property is in an old area of town, and though it's had some cosmetic improvements, we found it needed a thorough cleaning and a little maintenance. Property owner/agent hospitable and timely in response. Probably would not stay again unless improvements were made and publicized.
When looking for accommodations for our family in Waco for a 90th birthday weekend with our mother/grandmother, we decided that the two families would enjoy being together rather than in hotel rooms. Since everyone lives scattered across the country it was more fun to be together. We had the added advantage of being from Waco and had a chance to drive by the property before deciding to rent it. The curb appeal prompted our selection.
Our family really enjoyed their stay in the Lyle Avenue house. It was very clean and well maintained and offered everything we needed for the weekend including a nice welcoming gift from Pam Whitworth. There was plenty of space for 4 adults, 2 youngsters and 1 teenager to spread out for privacy when needed and enough room for the gang to gather for time together. We especially enjoyed the big screen TV in the sunroom for watching football and the kids loved the bottle cap "dart board." There were enough things in the house to interest youngsters and keep them engaged. The house was close to Grandma's house which really worked out well for us and was convenient for all of the additional side trips, including visits to the Baylor campus for our high school senior. The quiet residential neighborhood was perfect for early morning runs and the younger children really enjoyed the huge fenced back yard. Off street parking was excellent for several vehicles and could be easily secured behind the back gate. The kitchen was what you would expect in an upscale home with plenty of variety in dishes and cookware to handle most any cooking project. The beds were good overall as well for a short stay. All in all, we had everything we needed for a very comfortable weekend. Pam answered my e-mails promptly when I had questions and her staff was always friendly when I called prior to the trip.
If I could add only one thing it would be a couple more chairs that could be pulled up to the dining table to accommodate all 8 adults when we had an extended family meal there. The kids didn't mind the coffee table in the sunroom, though; thought of it as a treat.
I would highly recommend this property to a family or group wanting a comfortable space for a week or weekend in Waco. Baylor is close and the Fixer Upper's Silos are easy to get to. Thank you, Pam, for a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely use your property for another family gathering in Waco.
