Located in Pentwater, Michigan, Lakesound is the perfect lakefront vacation rental, great for large family vacations. Lakesound offers 10 bedrooms, 3 baths, and sleeps up to 28, with 3,500 feet of living space with over 100 feet of private beach on Lake Michigan. This is an exceptionally accommodating cottage that was built for those families wanting a comfortable, large summer vacation cottage where the grandparents, adult children and grandchildren can vacation together and create many memories.

Other amenities include: washer/dryer, baseboard Electric Heat, Air Conditioning in specific rooms (locations listed below), Cable TV, Internet, Board games, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Toaster Oven, Coffee Maker, Four Burner stove/oven, Dishwasher, Cooking/eating utensils, Table Settings for 24-28.

Private Beach: Lakesound has a private Lake Michigan beach where you can swim, lay out in the sun, build a sand castle with you children or grandchildren. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the shore a half mile south to Pentwater’s Mears State Park, and just a little further to shopping and dining in Pentwater itself and end the day with a spectacular sunset over Lake Michigan.

The North Central Beach Association does not permit fires directly on the beach. Lakesound has a fire pit over a dune from the beach. Fires must stay contained within the fire ring. Firewood is not provided by Lakesound, but may be purchased from many local vendors. Wood from fallen trees must not be collected from the property for use as firewood, because these are important in preventing erosion. Use of wood from the property will be considered damage to the property and your security deposit will be withheld. Fires are prohibited during strong winds or other dangerous conditions. Fires must be fully extinguished when not supervised. When in doubt if conditions are appropriate, please contact local authorities. Pets are not allowed. There is a propane grill available for your use. The grill must only be used in designated areas.

Parking Information:
Parking is only allowed at the top of the hill only. You should walk down to Lakesound. There are no exceptions to drive down the hill, this is the neighbors drive. There is parking for 4 vehicles only and will be marked clearly for Lakesound use. Offsite parking is available for an additional 4 cars. A map to the offsite parking will be provided with your information packet. You are responsible for transportation arrangements to and from the off site parking area. NOTE: If other spaces are used or blocked it will result in severe fines which you will be liable for.

What needs to be cleaned before leaving?
In general Lakesound should be left as you found it. All trash should be removed, from all the property including the beach. Dishes should be washed and returned to the cabinets, floors swept, and beds made. Please double check that you haven’t forgotten anything.

Garbage/Dumpster:
There is a dumpster approximately 1/2 way between Lakesound and the main road. This is where all household trash should be taken.

Neighborhood Rules:
Neighborhood quiet hours are from 10:30pm till 8:00am local time. We also require that all outside building lights be turned off by midnight, as to not disturb other area cottages. If you plan to have a large group please inquire. The neighbors are not on vacation and we want to make sure to respect their privacy.

Please note linens are not automatically included, but can be added as guest option for additional fee. This would be all your sheets and bathroom and kitchen towels for your stay.
