About Verna Lotts

We have been married for over 40 years and are the proud parents of 2 amazing sons, 2 incredible daughter-in-laws, and 3 outstanding granddaughters. I guess you could call us home bodies. We enjoy family and outdoor living. After raising our family in the Seattle area, we moved to Eastern Washington in 2004. When we purchased our current home we knew we were here to stay. We feel so blessed that we believe we should share this amazing place with others.

Verna Lotts purchased this house in 2011

Why Verna Lotts chose East Wenatchee

We chose this area because we have the benefits of city living in the country. There is everything we could ever want to do close by, but we feel like we are away from everything.

What makes this house unique

Located on the east side of the Columbia River, six miles north of Wenatchee on Lake Entiat, with amazing views & fantastic sunsets, this warm, cozy & relaxing home truly is an incredible place. The location is close to Leavenworth, Lake Chelan, Mission Ridge, Desert Canyon Golf Course, Lincoln Rock State Park, East Wenatchee, & Wenatchee. Who could ask for more? With incredible weather, calm waters and wildlife to observe you will have fun whether enjoying outdoor activities or just relaxing indoors.

Beautiful house, and an amazing setting for a wonderful vacation

  • 5 of 5

A perfect place for an amazing getaway, whether it's for a few days or a week! Verna and Roger are amazing hosts. Roger was available to us whenever we had a question. We had a tremendous time playing on the river during the day on our boat, and spending the evenings on the back patio enjoying the amazing scenery while playing cards, yard games, and enjoying a cool drink. If you choose to bring your boat along, both the dock and buoy make access to it a breeze. The house is comfortable and cozy, well-stocked, with AC to escape the heat when needed. The kids loved the pool table and table tennis as well! We will certainly be back!! Thanks to Verna and Roger!

Great time on the lake with friends

  • 5 of 5

The Lake Entiat house was spacious and had everything we needed. We traveled as four couples and one single adult, and there were enough beds for everyone. Our single friend brought an air mattress but Verna and Roger set up a cot in the loft that ended up being comfortable enough for her.

The best part about this house is the lake and private dock. We were able to blow up our floaties and tie them to the end of the dock--no transporting our stuff to and from a public beach. There are neighbors next to the house but for the most part it was pretty private. Verna and Roger stay in an RV at the end of the driveway, but their area is fenced and private, they are there if you need them.

The lake itself is actually part of the river, and the beach is a little muddy and weedy in the water just off the shore. We didn't use the beach itself much, just mostly went from the dock to our floaties and back.

Wenatchee town is about 15 minutes away, and both Leavenworth and Chelan are about 30 minutes away if you want to visit other towns. It was HOT but the AC in the house worked great.

Kitchen was well stocked, including spices and plastic wrap, foil, zip lock baggies, etc. We cooked all our meals at the house. BBQ worked out well also.

The only thing that was a little awkward was when Roger kept coming over to ask us to sign his petition. It wasn't a petition we were interested in signing, and at first tried to be polite and told him we'd look at it. After the fourth visit with the petition we had to finally tell him we weren't going to sign it. He was a really nice guy and very helpful otherwise but it was a little awkward with the petition visits.

One of the highlights of our trip was the last night when we were able to watch the Perseid meteor shower from the dock. We had a great view of the night sky and were all able to lay out on the end of the dock and watch the stars.

Overall I'd definitely recommend this place for a fun summer lake vacation.

Perfect place for kids, watersports and summer fun!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay and hope to return! Our party was 5 adults and 4 kids under age 6 and the house and property accommodated us perfectly. We kept our boat tied to the dock and there was plenty of parking for boat trailer and other vehicles in our group. It's also great to have Roger and Verna on property, too, in case you have questions or need something, or just want to chat with them and get more info about the area. And they have a wide variety of games and things to do inside and outside the house for kids and adults. Definitely a great place! Highly recommend.

Relaxing backyard on the river

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our time on the property. We came in thursday afternoon and stayed through sunday. The owners were extremely accommodating and checked in whenever we had any questions. The property itself is fantastic, with a fire pit and horse shoe area, and the open living room area is conducive to a very relaxing time with friends. Payment was done by check.

Amazing Property

  • 5 of 5

Such a lovely, idyllic location. Beautifully manicured lawn and outdoor space. Everything you could want in a cabin get away. The only time we were inside was when we needed to escape the heat. The air conditioning was also a blessing in such hot weather.

Wonderful rental with beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5

Had a memorable extended family get away at this very charming rental home on Lake Entiat. The house had all the amenities we needed and there were plenty of activities to do (ie. the kayaks the owners provide with life vests, the wave runners we rented just a couple miles away, the bike ride along the lake just 6 miles away.) The owners are extremely friendly and super hospitable. We will definitely rent from them again in the future.
