About Celeste Bailey
Born in Hilo, Hawaii, water was always peaceful to me, but the sand and salt became very unappealing when we had children. LAKE LIFE gave me the water, amazing sunsets and adventure without the salt and sand.
Celeste Bailey purchased this Condo in 2003
Why Celeste Bailey chose Huddleston
We have always loved vacationing at SML. There is plenty to do in the area since the lake is nestled between mountains, national and state parks and wineries.
What makes this Condo unique
Our favorite things to do are rent a pontoon boat and jet ski, pack a picnic lunch and cruise the lake. We love going to The Rope Swing or finding quiet coves to swim. There's just something about the taste of the pizza at the Pizza Pub or a Peach Sangria at Mexico Viejo (Bridgewater and Crazy Horse Marinas) at Bridgewater or maybe it's just the boat ride and working up the appetite. We love going to the sand beach at the state park to get a just enough sand in our toes.. Walking the wooded trails with our dogs is a plus too. Our teenagers hang out at the put-in area below at the marina. They swim there and jump off the dock. A half mile walk toward Parkway Marina (turn right at the exit) offers a different view of the lake and is a great place for really pretty pictures and weddings! Wineries abound in the area. Our favorite is the Peaks of Otter Winery.

Loved our stay at Belview Bay!
Prompt response from owner with initial contact. Found everything as described. Very nice condo. Kitchen is fantastic. Great view - right on the corner, you can see the lake and boat dock. People are friendly. Would definitely rent again.
I am so please that you enjoyed your weekend at Belview Bay Get-away. We also love the views from this spacious condo. Please come back again for a visit. We love repeat guests.
Great Valentine’s Day getaway with a stellar view of the lake! Very prompt response upon inquiry and Greg to work with on scheduling, suggestions, etc. Will be back!
Very comfortable with great views.
My husband and I had a great stay at this condo. One of the cleanest places we have stayed, furniture was very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and there were great views from the family room due to all the large windows and balcony. Contact with the owner, Celeste received an immediate response. And it was so nice to be able to bring our two small dogs with us. We felt right at home and would recommend this condo.
We LOVE this place!!
Love this condo. We have made so many family memories at this spot. We’ve been coming back for years and staying at this SAME condo each time. We love the roomy living area with updated furniture. The beds are comfy and there is plenty of space to spread out. It’s nice having that extra half bath on the main floor. We love the updates that the community has made over the last two years. Things are bright. The new colors really freshen the place up. Don’t miss the nightly sunset. It’s worth it. Oh, and check out the owner’s son’s boat charter business. WhyKnotBoatSML If you don’t have a boat rent him and his huge boat for the day. He’ll take you around to the fun spots.
Great Family Condo!
First! Celeste is great! She's quick to reply to any and all questions/issues you may have. My little family loved the condo. Very clean, fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots and etc. You get a nice view of the lake! We were staying for a day. Just a weekend getaway and would most definitely stay again. The condo is located in a quiet area on the lake. Neighbors were friendly. I think folks will also enjoy the lake/beach decor.
I am an active single Soldier from down south and had a mandatory evacuation as a result of Hurricane Irma. I have two larger dogs that not many hotels/friend's would be okay with having for an unknown amount of time as guests, but the owner of this property was my savior. I didn't want to stay in a hotel because I wanted to be able to have activities for me and the dogs to do, and I wanted more space for comfort. I decided to google properties and came across the VRBO ap on my phone that allowed me to filter options and find a perfect place; which for me, was this condo. It seemed too good to be true because of the price, size, and location of the condo and because it said it was pet friendly but didn't specify much, but I submitted a request anyways. The owner replied quicker than I anticipated which really helped ease my already unplanned and stressful situation. She was completely empathetic with the situation and was OK with the dogs. She is such a friendly, genuine woman who did whatever she could to help me with my difficult travel situation. Not only was the house nearly fully furnished (it has everything but wifi in the condo/building), but it was adorable and cozy, super clean, had a small gym in the condo building, and was a quiet, private get away that still offered lots to do. The condo already had cups, dishes and all sorts of silverware, a coffee maker & toaster which was very convenient. The owner kept in close contact with me when I had questions and she even offered me extra assistance that I know I would not have gotten at any hotel. Her son offered boat ride services since he works at a nearby marina. He was also extremely pleasant and helpful to me and my dogs during my stay. It was an overall great experience that turned a hectic time into a blessed one. Not only did she take care of me, but my Commander and his family desperately needed a place to stay that fit the same requirements of my own. I saw on Facebook he had changed his travel plans 3 times and thought to reach out to him to suggest that he also come up to SML. The owner had mentioned to me that she owned another property, so I got with her to see what the availability of it was and in short minutes, she was already helping me get him, his wife, four kids, and two dogs situated. The owner truly takes pride in taking care of her guests and I am more than grateful that I had the opportunity to meet her, her son, and come to their beautiful condo at Smith Mountain Lake.
One of my highlights this year was hosting you during your evacuation from Hurricane Irma. It sounds like you made the most of your trip and enjoyed the few days of good weather before the rain hit. Please come back for a future visit when you can spend more time on the water. And most of all, thanks for what you do to protect our freedoms.
