Whiterock Conservancy is a 5,500-acre, nonprofit land trust dedicated to providing educational and recreational opportunities for the public, improving and protecting the land through conservation, and demonstrating sustainable farming methods.
Explore over 40 miles of hiking, running, mountain biking, and equestrian trails that meander through prairie, oak savanna, wetland and river valley; set up camp in our RV or tent camping areas; or enjoy the comforts of home in one of our vacation rentals. Enjoy the countryside and wildlife, and some of the darkest skies in Iowa for stargazing. Visit the Historic Garst Farmstead to learn about agricultural history or check out one of our multiple fishing ponds. We have fishing equipment, mountain bikes and kayaks/canoes (river level and weather permitting) for rent.

Nestled in the woods, Log House is perfect for any large group. This two-story cabin-style 2320 sq ft. home has beautiful forest views, direct trail access, private deck and lots of space to spread out.
BEDROOMS: This six-bedroom cabin has two bedrooms with 2 twin beds each, one room with 2 twin + 1 queen, a bedroom with a single queen and another with two queen beds. The sixth bedroom features a king-sized bed. Bedding is provided.
BATHROOMS: There are four bathrooms including washer/dryer. Clean towels provided.
KITCHEN AMENITIES: Two kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs. The basic upper-level kitchen includes coffee maker, toaster, knife set and microwave. The lower-level kitchen is equipped with the same cooking essentials including a microwave, and refrigerator.
LIVING/DINING AREAS: This large cabin has multiple seating areas, a cozy double-sided wood-burning fireplace (firewood available for purchase prior to reservation), at-home library, and several smart TVs. Multiple dining areas include a table for 4, a dining table for 10, banquet-style dining table, and additional table and chair configurations available in the lower-level.
OUTDOORS: Beautiful forest views, private yard, charcoal grill, and fire pit are available. There is an open-air deck with seating for 4, a screened sunroom with ceiling fan and dining table for 6.
PARKING: Circular driveway can accommodate up to 9 vehicles. Please park on gravel only.
