Enjoy your summer vacation get-a-way on beautiful Lake Manchaug in this lakefront home in peace and quiet enjoyment. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with a wrap-around deck and attached screen house complete with 2 car garage. Home has been upgraded and updated with hardwood floors, indoor laundry, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, two ovens and countertop range. Plus, all the necessary items to prepare your meals. Indoor laundry has washer and dryer. Hairdryer in master bath. Electric fireplace in living room. Cable TV and Wi-Fi wireless internet available for your entertainment in living room and master bedroom. 55 " Wide screen plasma in living room. The gas grill is located just outside the kitchen door on the wrap-around deck. there is a fire pit in the front yard overlooking the lake for those relaxing and story-telling evenings.

For your side trips, why not a day in Boston sightseeing and taking in the culture; just 45 minutes away. Or, even closer, why not head over to Cape Cod for an amazing lobster dinner? Or cook your own lobster from the market basket 10 minutes away . Like sightseeing? Even closer is Newport, Rhode Island with the tour of mansions and scenic views and breezes of the Atlantic Ocean.

Hungry? There’s a major supermarket and other shopping just 15 minutes away, the Market Basket.
Don't want to leave the property? Just bait you hook and drop you line into one of the best bass fishing lakes in the area.

And finally, for you golfers, there is the nationally recognized Blackstone National Golf course just 15 minutes away.

Every room in the house has incredible views! We visited in the fall, and the scenery was simply stunning — waking up to the sunrise each morning was magical. The property is also conveniently located near Boston and plenty of other great spots to explore.

We had a wonderful time. The house and grounds are lovely. My husband caught a few fish and my dog and I kayaked! So many different spots in the yard to enjoy the view! Very relaxing! Activity on the lake was very entertaining

This was our 4th time at this lake house. This place has become a haven of summer memories over the past 4 years for my family. The house itself is adequate and quaint. There is plenty of room for a family of four. It could use some updating, but we do not rent this property for a luxury home. The highlight of this property is the outdoors. The land is amazing. Because of the lot size it is extremely private for a lake front home as well. The gradual walk in area of the lake is sandy and we always spend a good amount of time on the kayaks and swim platform which is about 30 feet out. We cook smores ever evening at the fire pit, and we love that our dogs can come stay as well which makes this home even more special to us. The owners are very friendly and easy to work with, and I highly recommend this property if you are looking for family fun in an outdoor, serene place.

An absolute hidden gem. If you are looking for serene and private you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for an excellent layout, perhaps for an elderly family member with everything on one floor, you wont be disappointed. So many activities to enjoy on the property. We took the kayaks out!

This was our second visit to Katrina’s gorgeous lake rental. We had an amazing stay once again . Katrina is a perfect host. So kind and accommodating . I had the pleasure of meeting her lovely daughter. Such a nice family!My grandsons loved the fishing and swimming. The house is beautiful and so clean . We had everything we needed. Absolutely perfect!!!

This is our second time booking at this property and once again, it was nothing short of amazing. Everything between the communication with the owner, the property itself, and the ease of everything was just wonderful!!! Katrina is such a nice and easy-going host, she really made us feel welcomed!!! And the property itself? Words just cannot even describe it. You have to see it for yourself. It’s exactly as it’s described !!! The view of the lake is out of this world and the privacy is just what we were looking for. The fact that we are able to bring our dog is a huge bonus. We caught plenty of fish, grilled some great food, and any time we needed groceries it was an 11 minute drive to the Market Basket! There are also some restaurants and fast food places close by but we barely left the house because we just don’t want to miss out on those views !!! As a side note, our baby ended up having a double ear infection and we took him to an urgent care located 15 minutes away and we had an amazing and quick experience and the CVS was right next door for his antibiotics!! Huge relief for us!! The master bedroom is ginormous with a king size bed and a half bath which made it very convenient for us with our 15 month old baby! We will definitely be booking again this for sure has become our yearly vacation spot !!! Thank you again Katrina!!!!

lakeside retreat

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lakeside retreat. The property is exactly what we were hoping for—private, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it offered the perfect escape for some much-needed relaxation. Morning coffee on the porch enjoying the view was a daily highlight. The setting is serene, with plenty of space to unwind. We especially appreciated how secluded it felt—no crowds and the calm of the water.Highly recommend this spot for couples or anyone looking to recharge in a quiet, private setting. We’re already dreaming about our next visit.

What an absolute pleasure it is to stay at this lake house! The comfort of the home and the views of the lake are marvelous. Being a dog friendly property is a tremendous plus for us. "Xanadu on the Lake"

What a wonderful property! The lake is great for swimming and fishing. and Katrina provides lots of toys and of course life jackets. The house was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the hot water, comfortable sofas, sky lights, deck off of the main bedroom, row boat, two docks, sandy access into water, outside seating, the list goes on and on. Katrina's daughter Linda was the best host! So sweet, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely be returning to this heaven on the lake.

Golf at the Reese Jones Blackstone National Golf Course - 10 minutes, Brimfield Flea Market-May/July/Sept - 40 minutes, Newport Mansions - 1hr. Horseback riding, beaches, hiking and biking in the Douglas State Forest - next door. We are in southern Worcester county bordering Ct. and RI. Great location as it is near Rt146, RT. 395, RT. 290, and 10min. to the Mass. Pike. We are located on Lake Manchaug in Douglas. The lake is approx. 7 miles around.


There are many vineyards nearby - Taylor Brook to name just one and we are very close to a wonderful section of Ct. Woodstock, Pomfret and Putnam which are full of antique shops. Go ahead... use Google to find your own local attractions... we did.

Douglas and the lake area is like being in Maine without the long drive and the traffic.

Centrally located to all main highways, and a Market Basket 10 minutes away. The farm store has great homemade food. Douglas State Park for hiking and biking.
