Directly on the Big Deschutes River! From the moment you arrive, you know 'this is it,' your perfect get away retreat.
You have direct access to the river off the lower deck, for canoeing, kayaking, floating, or fishing. There are boat docks a short distance down the paved path for easy launching and take out if you prefer. Several miles of paved bike paths and additional trails in nearby forest land are all accessible off the back deck.
The pool, fitness room, and playground are across the street and close enough to see from the driveway. From the pool you can see the tennis courts if you want to work up a sweat before you swim. Two adult mountain bikes, tennis gear, and table tennis equipment have been provided for your enjoyment.
In the wintertime there are plenty of trails for cross country skiing or snow showing from the front door. Mt. Bachelor is less than 30 minutes away if downhill skiing, snowboarding, or even dog sledding is more your idea of a great time.
You are only a 10 minute drive from the Sunriver Resort for shopping, dining out, golf, spa, waterpark, horseback riding, and additional bike trails if you want to visit there.
Downtown Bend is about 25 miles. But you will enjoy coming back home to a place that is much less crowded and more private.
The greatroom with its attached large kitchen and adjoining deck provide the perfect space for everyone to socialize together. The large open space allows you to cook, watch TV or chat with everyone while preparing your own meals. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic essentials to make cooking your own meals an easy option.
There are two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs; one full bathroom upstairs and one full bathroom downstairs. The downstairs bathroom also has a washer and dryer for your convenience. With a king, two queens, a twin set, and two convertible chairs, you have a variety of sleeping options. To ensure comfortable rest during your stay, we use only high thread count linens for bedding – we want your sleep to be extra comfortable after long hard days of playing!
Extensive remodels were completed in 2011 and 2015 that included: walnut and tile flooring throughout, granite and tile counter tops, 500+ square feet of mahogany decking, roofing, picture windows, high-density insulation, pillow-top mattresses, furniture, urban-country décor, and fresh paint inside and out.
Please, be our guest; let our home be your home for a few days, a week, or longer if you can. We would be delighted to share the beauty of Central Oregon with you – and a home that will help you create the kind of memories you will relish for a lifetime!

We (Connie and Larry) are life-long residents of the Northwest. We feel blessed to have grown up and live in such a beautiful area, where quality of life is valued. We enjoy a large family and being engaged in the community in which we live and work. Throughout our lives, we have had the opportunity to vacation with our family and friends and are grateful for all of the special memories that were created. It is our hope that our 'home away from home' will provide others a place to create their own lasting memories –a special place where family and friends can gather to slow down, reconnect, and really enjoy each other’s company. A place where body, mind, and spirit can be refreshed and simple pleasures appreciated. That’s the intent and ambiance of this home.
Connie purchased this villa in 2012
We reside in the Willamette Valley but have traveled to Central Oregon for work and pleasure for many years. We appreciate the diversity of activities afforded by the area from the winter snow to the summer sunshine. It was our desire to locate a home in Central Oregon, specifically located on the beautiful Deschutes River, where we could gather with our family and friends and continue to build our own special memories. We wanted a location that was perfect to stay put and relax or to use as a base camp for the many day trip opportunities. This was it. A lovely home. A quiet, family-oriented community. The tranquility of the Deschutes River flowing by.
The pace is more relaxed and more private than the big resorts. We like being able to participate in all the action when we want to, but still be able to retire to a quiet place when we want to simply hang out together.
The best thing about the house is that it was a mile from my brother, so we were able to have a big family reunion Thanksgiving. Loved being right on the river. We had most everything we needed in the kitchen, it was comfortable and clean, towels were soft, beds were pretty good, we'll definitely be back! Thanks.
Our family had a wonderful time and only wished the week did not go by so quickly. We have stayed at many different places but this was one of the best. Connie's home felt like home to our family. It was exactly as pictured with many more features. As a mother and grandmother I think the best thing I enjoyed was everyone sitting down to a BBQ dinner and seeing the trees and river as we ate and talked about our day. We made use of the bike paths, floated down the river, and hiked many different trails to name a few. My grandkids, as well as the adults, will remember this trip for a long time.
Thank you for this wonderful place to stay. My family and I had the best time.
The house was beautiful and very clean. The location if perfect for all family members.
Thank you so much.
My family, party of 8, stayed in this incredible home and made memories to last a lifetime. Not only is the home beautiful, well decorated, and large enough to give everyone their own space, all the beds are more than comfortable and the home is thoroughly equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay, truly a home away from home! There is more than enough space to relax, and the huge decks are ample for lounging while taking in the beauty from the river. The Deschutes is literally right out the backdoor and it is breathtaking! We enjoyed walks and bike rides along the path, looking for wildlife (my kids found baby bunnies, ducks, chipmunks, and some garter snakes near the river - which are totally harmless! My 2 yr old held one!) We spent some time with our little ones at the park play structure and pool right across the street. This was convenient. My older kids loved playing ping pong in the garage. Variety of games and movies were great too. All in all it was the perfect home in the perfect location. Last year we stayed at Sunriver. This year we wanted the same environment but less crowds. Our goal was achieved by renting this home. The owners are incredibly sweet as well, which is icing on the cake. We hope to stay here again in the future!
We stayed over the 4th of Juky week and it was so nice. The house was very clean. It is right off the river so you can enjoy nature while lounging on the deck. There is a great community pool nearby and so much to do in the area. There is a lava cave hike within half hour that is a must. Overall we had a great week in this house.
The inside of this home is really nice. It is all updated! All beds are comfortable and have nice bedding/linens. The outside isn't fancy, but who needs that when the LIttle Deschutes is your backyard? The upstairs is a bit hot on warm weather days and early evenings, even with the AC unit they have. However, the downstairs is cool and the whole house cools off overnight. The best thing about this place is that is is much less busy and crowded than Sunriver. Sunriver is a madhouse right now and we had the bike path, pool, and river to ourselves. It was magnificent! I would recommend NOT planning to dine out because why would you? The kitchen is big and very nice! You can barbecue on the deck and eat there. I would highly recommend bringing ice because the ice maker was slow as molasses. Also, bring your own body soap/wash. There wasn't any provided. Overall, we will definitely stay here again!
