This unit is going to have a lot of upgrades this off season, the biggest being new flooring throughout! That quick walk to either the channel or the beach is certainly convenient not to mention being right next to the shops and restaurants at the south end. I am sorry to hear about the cleanliness of the property as we hold our housekeeping staff to very high standards that we set for them. I will pass this note along to the housekeeper so we can continue to meet those standards. I flagged your concerns regarding the fenced in yard to our property managers and we are going to add the necessary fencing so it is truly enclosed. I appreciate you letting us know! Sorry to hear this unit fell short of your expectations, Bonnie! The Craft unit is marketed as an economical option for families with pets who want to be close to the ocean. While it is older and there are some cosmetic issues, it is still well kept and functional! We recently just replaced a bunch of furniture, new carpeting, and new kitchen items when we got the property before your stay. Hoping for some additional upgrades in the future and will be sure to update the photos on our website if that happens - it is very important to us to be very honest in the advertising of our properties. Be sure to reach out to our friendly team of reservationists and we can work with you to find a different unit that is a bit more upgraded to your liking! We have a large inventory and hope to keep your business for future trips to Wrightsville. Take care!

There aren't many original Wrightsville cottages on the island anymore so if you are looking for that original cozy charm, this is a great option. The owner is renovating a bit this off season including new laminate flooring throughout the entire unit! Martha, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced upon arriving to the property. The screen door you mentioned has been repaired and the lawn is being taken care of as needed. We did have one of our hospitality supervisors stop by the unit after you visited our office. They sprayed air freshener, and left Damprid and an air freshener in the unit. We are currently replacing one of the couches as well. We're disheartened you feel as though you were treated wrongfully, as we work very hard to give our guests the best experiences possible. Patrick, we appreciate you giving us your feedback on this property and apologize it was not up to your standards. Our maintenance and hospitality departments have both been notified of the issues you've addressed and are doing what they can to correct them. All our units are professionally cleaned before every guests' stay, and the floors are all vacuumed and mopped before the cleaners departure. However, I will mention for them to pay extra attention to these floors and be sure there's no residue remaining after the clean. Again, we apologize for the experience you've had and the inconvenience it caused on your vacation. We will do our best to remedy as much as possible and hope you will return to enjoy Wrightsville Beach on your next vacation!

Jessica, we are sorry you feel that way about the unit. We feel the photos that you viewed on our website before choosing to rent this property accurately depict the unit's condition and furnishings (especially since they were recently taken just two months ago). In fact, in the description it specifically states the unit is "economical and pet friendly ... 1940s style classic beach all the frills and unnecessary clutter"; and is priced budget friendly accordingly. It is also widely advertised that this property is a pet friendly unit. Per the contract you signed, no cleaning supplies are provided but we do provide our "starter pack" of items which can be found in the contract and on our website. There is a brand new broom, vacuum, swiffer and swiffer pads all in the laundry room - it is a door next to the kitchen that you must have missed. Coat hangers walk off so fast between renters so it is not a required item in our rentals - as stated on our website as well. We sent a housekeeper down right away when you called to refresh the clean unit to make you more comfortable. Next time before you book, be sure to actually review the photos and read the contract, as it sounds like that would have prevented all of your frustrations on this trip. We did not recieve any complaints of roaches, but had you reported we could have sent out pest control to do an additional spray. Wish you the best on your future rental endeavors.

Patricia, we are saddened to hear that Craft was not the right pick for your trip to the beach this time. The owner just had the flooring replaced with new laminate flooring this month (Dec 2021) and we cannot wait to share those updated photos with our guests! I will make note about your other concerns, especially those you expressed previously to see if the owner will update additional items. The kitchen pots/pans are replaced frequently and due to supply issues, when we place new ones they may not always be the same brand but they are still in good shape. The toaster was found to work on the checkout inspection, the GFI was tripped, and the toaster oven you said didn't work was not plugged in but worked right away once plugged in. The pet fee is absolutely warranted and goes toward the expense of maintaining a pet friendly home, such as regular carpet and upholstery cleaning, increased laundering, and wear and tear. Please know that if you ever have any cleanliness or maintenance issues during your stay, we ask that you report them so we have the opportunity to make it right. We hope you will give Craft another chance next time as it will have an exciting number of upgrades this off season. Take care!
