About Sarah

We are a couple from Charleston, SC and while we love the beach we also love vacationing in the mountains! We rented so many cabins before deciding to buy ours and love helping to give others the wonderful experiences we enjoy so much!

Sarah purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Sarah chose East

Gatlinburg was the second mountain vacation we ever took together and just fell in love with the area! We like everything that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer but also knew that there were areas where the cabins are so private and you can just tuck yourself away in one of them and just enjoy eachother or your family! Also, the fall leaves are more beautiful here than any other place in the US!

What makes this cabin unique

Forbidden Pleasure is special in the fact that it is not just somewhere to stay while you are up in the mountains. It is a place where memories are created from Honeymoons, to Anniversarys, graduations, homecomings, family trips, or just a getaway we have found that we along with the rest of our family leave the cabin and are already planning the next time when we can come back!

Absolutely LOVE this cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED this cabin! The upstairs has the kitchen/living room with a pool table and bathroom and the downstairs has a huge jacuzzi tub, bathroom, bed/tv and washer and dryer. This cabin is very roomy and makes you feel like home. Sarah is awesome to deal with and we plan on staying here again. One thing I would suggest is to arrive during the day to find the cabin. Road was steep and it was challenging to find in the dark for me. Also i would suggest to bring extra blankets if you get cold easily. Can't wait to return! The other plus about this cabin is it's right down the road from Gatlinburg.

Not overly impressed.

  • 3 of 5

The property was secluded, which we liked. The hot tub only had 2 jets working and wasn't impressed with the location of the hot tub on the main porch. Yes there were saloon style doors on the porch but it wasn't very private. The views were not spectacular, they were just trees. For the price it was nice but we will definitely try another location on our next trip.

Amazing, Beautiful and Relazing

  • 4 of 5

The cabin itself was stunning, the ride up was a hike.

First of all, once inside the cabin we were amazed...the inside was perfect. Everything looked new and clean and very updated, yet still extremely cozy and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying at this cabin, but I will provide some tips to help you know what to expect and be prepared. We rented a car and was given a Camero...great car and fun to drive. But, seats are very low to the ground and the hood is very long. I state this, because when driving up to the cabin there are some pretty steep inclines, and with a car like this we could not see the street over the hood sometimes. This was a little scary for us (being from Florida we don't encounter inclines like these). But, they were fairly easy until we got to the last one heading up to the actual cabin, the hairpin turn and super steep unpaved incline had the tires spinning on the car as we made the climb up and getting into the parking space (or back out) was a bit of a challenge. So, next time we will get an SUV or something easier. After that my wife did not want to go back down or up the mountain at night, so we ordered in. Most pizza places will not deliver there, so it took about 4 tries until we found one (there was a magnet on the fridge for a place, but they no longer had a delivery driver when we where there). Big Bear Pizza and Subs delivered and they were super nice. Last thing, is be prepared (if in the summer) for the upstairs to be warm and the downstairs (where the bedroom is) to be super cold. A/C and most vents are down there and it took awhile for the cool air to prevail upstairs. But, those are some minor details in comparison to the quality and cost of this cabin. I point these out NOT to cause any hesitations in staying here, but to make sure you are prepared so you have the best experience possible. The owner, Sarah, was great to deal with...super nice and provided us with all the info we needed for an easy arrival and departure. Also, it's very close to Dollywood and Gatlinburg, so the location was excellent. It is private too, there are no close cabins, only one across the street, but it is set pretty far back, very secluded. My wife's only complaint about the actual cabin was the towels...they were pretty small. So, next time we will pack our own. Hope you all enjoy this beautiful part of the country! Great for couples looking for a romantic getaway!

Incredible cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is everything you need and more! If we had packed enough supplies we would have stayed for the whole week without ever going back down the mountain. The kitchen had everything we needed, we used the pool table and the bedroom is enormous and so comfortable. The fact that we could do a load of laundry was extremely helpful before the next part of our trip. We absolutely LIVED on the top porch for 4 days. The hot tub was incredible and you feel like you are sitting in a tree house. I had wanted to find a secluded place and this is it! We could sometimes hear a couple people at cabins somewhere below but you can't even see them. We even got to see a bear in the drive at the neighbors house one day. We enjoyed the Ober and skylift in Gatlinburg one day, ziplined the next, and a hike to Grotto Falls on another. We were on a trip for our 4th anniversary but if you are looking for a honeymoon cabin, this is it, you don't need to leave! Thanks Sarah for having us, we would love to make it back someday!
