Get away from it all in this comfortable Sedona home with spectacular panoramic views. Located in the Village of Oak Creek, this home is secluded on a dead end street and backs to forest land for the ultimate in privacy and quiet. The home features 2200SF, three bedrooms, two baths, fireplace, washer & dryer and a fully-equipped kitchen for the gourmet cook with new, top-of-the-line stainless steel Maytag appliances including a double oven gas stove, microwave and fridge with water and ice in the door, plus a gas BBQ. The master suite has a king bed, tiled shower, walk-in closet and TV. The master suite opens to the huge deck with fabulous red rock views. Two secondary bedrooms have queen beds with upgraded mattresses. The home includes books, music, and movies as well as wireless, high-speed internet access and cable TV. The garage has an opener and is oversized - an SUV should fit inside. There is ample parking on the circular driveway. Living area is up one flight of stairs from the garage and there are four steps up to the bedrooms. Laundry is in the garage.

Enjoy spectacular views from the living area, kitchen and deck of two of the most famous red rock formations in Sedona - Castle Rock and Cathedral Rock (which has a vortex). The home is just a few minutes from Red Rock Crossing, one of the most photographed spots in Arizona. This home is away from the bright lights of West Sedona and is under 'dark sky' regulations. Here in the village you can just look up and see where the Milky Way spreads across the sky at night. It is so dark you can see the planets, satellites and the space station. Bring your telescope and you can see more from the deck.

The home is just minutes from over 50 miles of hiking trails. The highways, hiking trails and state parks offer breathtaking sights and ample opportunity to commune with nature. Red Rock State Park features an environmental information center as well as wonderful locations for hiking, biking, birding and fishing. Shaded by cottonwoods and sycamores along the canyon walls Slide Rock State Park has a natural water slide while the less athletic can relax at picnic tables in the meadow.

If you are a golfer then check out the Robert Trent Jones championship golf course in the Village of Oak Creek that is just 1.5 miles away. A nine hole executive course is located a few miles away at Canyon Mesa.

Sedona is 4500 ft above sea level providing a moderate and dry climate closely matching most of Southern California only without the humidity. Sedona offers the best of all worlds all year long: Gourmet Dining, Art Galleries, Fine Boutiques, Music and Theater. The beautiful surroundings and laid-back atmosphere have drawn artists to the area in droves. Indoor types will find plenty to do touring galleries, including the Sedona Arts Center, which showcases world-class exhibits and local artists.

Those interested in ancient ruins and anthropology will be awestruck by the area's natural rock formations and preserved remains of old cultures. Visitors can hike past the ruins of the Sinagua Indian on the Boynton Canyon Trail or check out the unique geological deposits at Rachel's Knoll. The Grand Canyon is just a few hours away. In the winter skiing and snow play is available 45 miles up the I-17 freeway to Snow Bowl at Flagstaff.

The natural beauty and peace that comes with a visit to Sedona make it a worthwhile journey for any traveler.

Come Stay, Play, Relax and Refresh your spirit at one of the most beautiful communities in the West!

About Pat

Pat is a real estate broker in the Phoenix area. Victor is a software programmer. We enjoy wild life and landscape photography, hiking and star gazing. We have lived in the greater Phoenix area for 20 plus years and have always loved Sedona. We were able to make our dream of having a Sedona home a reality a few years ago.

Pat purchased this house in 2008

Why Pat chose Sedona

We purchased this home to use as a weekend get away and future retirement home. We were looking for somewhere unique and beautiful yet close enough to Phoenix to be an easy commute so we could visit often. We looked at 100 houses or more before buying this one. The goal was to have a home with a view from inside and outside of the gorgeous red rocks. We were also looking for a quiet area so the dead end street against forest service land was ideal. Lastly we wanted enough parking for our recreational vehicles.

What makes this house unique

The main advantage of living in the Village of Oak Creek versus west Sedona is less traffic. Holiday and summer weekends are very busy in west Sedona. We have all the conveniences of west Sedona including a large grocery store, many restaurants, fitness centers, library, spas, hotels and shopping without the hassle of the traffic.

Stunning Sedona Views -- Serene and Tranquil home in the heart of the Red Rocks

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay earlier this month in Sedona at this lovely home. When we had relatives from the east coast visiting for a 'Bucket List' trip to the Grand Canyon, I told them we definitely needed to include a visit to Sedona. After enjoying the awe and wonder of the Grand Canyon, we spent the rest of tour time at Pat & Victor's home in the Village of Oak Creek. As it turned out, our stay in Sedona became the highlight of our trip.

We were all able to relax, unwind and my guests were able to enjoy feeling like they were at home -- getting up early to have coffee on the deck, marveling at the majestic views from every area of the house, and sitting outside in the evenings to watch the stars!!! In fact, everyone was willing to pitch in to help with meals & dishes, just to get to enjoy the fantastic view from the kitchen window.

Pat has thought of everything -- the home has a spacious and well-appointed kitchen, with everything you will need if you decide you want a home-cooked meal. The gas grill, conveniently located just outside the dining area on upper deck was perfect for a evening meal on the patio after a long day sight-seeing.

The location of the home is perfect -- we had access to everything we needed in terms of ammenities, without the hassle of dealing with the Sedona traffic. As noted, it is located very close to many of the popular hiking trails and the Chapel in the Rocks.

My guests were so in love with this home -- they kept saying, "If I owned this beautiful place, I would live here all the time." I definitely plan to come back again.

Thanks to Pat & Victor for providing great tips for restuarants, information on hiking, and other points of interests in the local area.

Great views, quiet location, beautiful trees and landscaping

  • 4 of 5

We truly loved sitting on the deck for breakfast, listening to the bird song, and gazing at Castle and Cathedral Rocks. The storm clouds and lightening were spectacular over the red rocks as was the late afternoon glow. We are from Wisconsin, love trees and green, and really appreciated the greenery we has had in front of us as we sat at the windows or on the deck. The beauty of the area never grew old. Our six weeks went by in a blink.

The hiking on this side of town was very good and you can avoid the busiest trail heads and still have an excellent walk. Plenty of good restaurants right in Oak Creek Village and of course more in Sedona proper.

The house was well equipped. We lacked for nothing. One does need to take note of the large number of steps (20) required to access the house from the front and from inside the garage. They proved a challenge for my wife and for some friends who visited.

We made a number of trips to Cottonwood via the southern route. Groceries/liquor are much cheaper there and Old Cottonwood is a bit less "Aspenized" than Sedona, yet still interesting.

Dealing with Pat, the owner, was always easy. She is thorough, clear, and reasonable in her expectations and explanations. We just did what was requested and our deposit was returned within a week of our departure.

We will return to Sedona, but, unfortunately, the stairs will require us to look to another site. Our thanks to Pat for sharing her home.

Super comfortable house with great views!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great home! It is on a quiet cul de sac and backs to Forest Land. Much better than the congested West Sedona. Grocery store and several restaurants are a short drive. Cottonwood has great shopping and restaurants and is an easy drive by going the back way. Terrific views from the deck or inside during storms. The owners have thought of everything. The sheets and towels are high quality. Not the cheap stuff you usually see in hotels.Kitchen has lots of appliances, cookware and even included spices. If you can't find it you probably don't need it.

Serenity At Its Best

  • 5 of 5

Our first visit to Sedona was absolutely magical due to the lovely and comfortable home. We were looking for peace and quiet and this house delivered on all fronts. We enjoyed the views, the hummingbirds and the tranquility of the neighborhood. It was easy access to the Village of Oak Creek and to our favorite hiking trail, Baldwin to the Cathedral Rock. The owners,Pat and Victor, were very welcoming and very helpful with their suggestions. We'll definitely be back!

Owner's Response: These folks were great vacation renters. They even refilled the hummingbird feeds to keep the insatiable humming birds happy. We would highly recommend renting to them in the future.

Pure Heaven

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home for two months and the best way I can describe the experience is pure Heaven. The house is lovely and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous fireplace on chilly nights. The deck was fantastic for those warm days. The view is outstanding. We have stayed in Sedona many times in the past and this, by far, was our favorite location. The neighborhood is very quiet which we loved; it was a lot like being home in the country. The hiking out the back door was unbelievable. I am a photographer and what could be better than a bird feeding station right out the office window and a view out the front of the morning balloon rides. Our cat, Jade, felt very much at home and loved the house as much as we did. The friendly owner, Pat, made us feel so welcome and gave us a tour of her beautiful home as soon as we arrived, making sure we knew where everything was and how it worked. We will be back next year to once again enjoy this perfect place in Sedona.
