We really enjoyed our stay. Even pthough it’s called the honeymoon cottage, there’s plenty of room for a family of four the deck and the deck furniture was really nice for hanging out. The kitchen was very well equipped. The neighborhood was really convenient and close to amenities.
This place is nice to relax, decompress and the neighborhood is super quiet. The Sunnyside Market is is walking distance to grab a great sandwich or snack. Great little place.

Thank you so much for the nice review, we are so glad you enjoyed our home and we hope that you come back and stay soon!
Great location, cute woodsy cabin, wonderful outdoor space. Only complaint was the broken window in the bathroom - made for some chilly early morning showers.

We are so glad you enjoyed our little cabin, it's such an amazing place. Thanks for letting us know about the window, we wanted to let you know we have already fixed it! And in the future, feel free to reach out to us with any issues and we will be more than happy to fix it while you are here to ensure you have the best stay possible!
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was as described, clean and ready for us. The hot tub was working and great for relaxing after a day skiing. The property manager was very responsive when we unintentionally turned off the gas fireplace and could turn it back on.

We were happy to host you guys and are glad you enjoyed our cabin. We would love to host you again any time!
My wife and I enjoyed a restful week at the Honeymoon Cottage. The location is perfectly situated with Sunnyside Lodge and a beach within walking distance. It is conveniently located to Tahoe City, Truckeee, all of the West side and South Lake Tahoe. This was a great base for hiking Desolation Wilderness, kayaking the lake and river rafting the Truckee River. Definitely would stay again.

Great cabin, great location, great setting
Quaint and cozy cabin for an early fall getaway. The location is excellent, good for local walks and close to the marina for boat and board rentals. There is also a wonderful restaurant, Spoons, and a coffee shop and mini market within blocks. Cabin has a nice outside area in a woodsy setting and inside the cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for a getaway. We will be back!

We're delighted that you had a wonderful getaway at our quaint and cozy cabin. It's fantastic to hear that the cabin's amenities and woodsy setting met your needs. We can't wait to welcome you back for another stay in the future. Your satisfaction is paramount to us, and we're excited to provide you with another memorable experience!
We arrived with snow on ground on a dark evening to find a cozy, warm, clean and friendly cottage. We had hot cocoa and did a puzzle before sleep. It was a lovely weekend in December with my daughter and her best friend. The hot tub was warm and bubbly and everything ran smoothly. The next morning we took a short walk to the gorgeous lake, smiling the whole way. The neighborhood was quiet and we had everything we needed. We would definitely return to this lovely and cozy perfect cottage.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Check-in
Never used the hot tub as instructions around the cover were not clear and we didn't want to break the mechanism. They should update and replace the locking mechanism to be more robust and easy to use. Also, the location of the bathroom downstairs from the sleeping units is not ideal. The stairs are narrow and tricky to descend and trying to do this in the middle of the night is unsafe. They need a 1/2 bathroom upstairs. We could not get the TV to work with the various remotes and instructions provided. It was frustrating as we wanted to watch a football game and went to local restaurant to view. Location is outstanding with walking distance to very top notch restaurants and store.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location. For future stays, we are available 24/7 and more than happy to help with things like the hot tub cover or walking you through the TV setup. We also appreciate your notes about the bathroom layout. Unfortunately, updates like adding a half bath can be difficult due to permitting, but we truly appreciate the feedback.
My now husband and I stayed at the Honeymoon cottage for a full week over the course of our wedding weekend in Tahoe City. We couldn’t have expected a more perfect home base for our trip.
The home was clean, comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, and then some. The upstairs master bedroom was extremely comfortable and peaceful. We were totally enthralled in the mountain cabin style of the cottage.
We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and the convenience of the short walk to the West Shore Market, Sunnyside, and Firesign restaurants. It was easy to walk and jog our dog on the bike path and even to jump in the lake!
Tahoe Moon Properties provided us with excellent service prior to and during our stay. We hope to stay here again some day! Hopefully on a future anniversary. Thank you!

Cute, cozy!
This little cottage was cozy and sweet, had everything we needed for a long weekend, except I didn't do my homework very well, in that there is only ONE bathroom, and it is on the main floor level. The stairs are small, as are for an older home so navigating those in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom wasn't fun. Otherwise, very comfortable. So peaceful! Hot tub is cute, I say cute because it's for short people, and fits 2 people, that's it. If you plan on getting in naked be prepared to show the world your goods because it's not a big deep hot tub. We opted not to go in. But, clean and ready. All in all a well kept property. Just like home. ☺️

Thank you for your review! We're glad you found the cottage cozy and well-equipped for your stay. We appreciate your feedback about the bathroom and the hot tub, and we'll take it into consideration for future improvements & communication. We hope to welcome you back in the future!
We loved this cottage, close to everything and great instructions for everything. All the supply pans kitchen ware where excellent. Don’t forget to bring wood for the fire
But even workout a fire the place stays really warm. We would highly recommend this place for a family and dogs. Hot tub was so wonderful also.
The place was nice. Wonderful location and beautiful area. Had no issues with the property at all. We just had to deal with the smoke from the forest fire unfortunately. Which is out of anyones control.
ABSOLUTELY loved this little slice of home!!! Looked just as it was pictured on VRBO!! Had all of the kitchen utensils, towels, bedding, etc. The location was perfect for short walk to Sunnyside Marina and nearby restaurant Fireside Cafe! This place is perfect for a couple and a dog!! Extremely quiet and peaceful neighborhood!! Felt like we were the only ones on the street!! Easy checkin and check out! We def will be coming back to Tahoe City and hopefully this cozy little cottage willl be available!!!!
It was just two of us and a small dog. We had a great stay and it was as advertised. The house was clean, the backyard was private and hot tub was enjoyable. We loved our stay!
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It was very cozy and a quiet, peaceful community. We loved being able to walk to the lake and local market and bike on the path close by.
We really enjoyed our visit to Lake Tahoe and spending time at this beautiful cabin! The hot tub was very nice! The kitchen was perfect for us and everything was beautiful! We had only one unfortunate problem. We had a bat in our bedroom and didn't know that the bat was there until we had spent two nights at the cabin. We were careful to close doors right away because of bears. I am not sure how it got in and we found out that anytime you spend the night with a bat...that you have to get rabies shots for possible exposure. ugh. We had to go the ER in our local city and get the first round of shots yesterday. We really enjoyed the cabin but this did put a bit of damper on our vacation after we got back...especially since each dose of the vaccine is 450 dollars each!!! Ack. Hopefully, the owners can post a warning about bats in the area or give more info about being bat aware.

Thank you Natalie, we appreciate your feedback but really want to make clear that the bat that made it's way into this home during their stay was removed during their stay as well. Just after Natalie's departure, the owners were in for 2 weeks and did not see one sign of a bat or rodents whatsoever. For peace of mind, a Ultrasonic plug in was put in that creates sound waves that humans cannot hear, but bats do not like. There has been not one sign of any bat presence again. While there are bats in the Tahoe area, we feel confident that this was a one off scenario where a bat flew in as the guests were bringing in luggage or groceries, and it has been mitigated. We hope it is understood by travelers that critters and bats exist in these mountainous and wooded areas, but we are happy to also offer some transparency on the subject so have included this into our rental agreement moving forward as well.
Had a great stay here. The cabin is easy to find, located just outside of Tahoe City. It is quiet and very private. Everything was comfortable. Cabin is just as pictured and made for a great couples getaway.
We loved the cabin feel. The outdoors was wonderful. Only complaint is the stairs are too steep and the only bath is downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs. Probably not an issue for younger folks.
