Relax and unwind in a small cozy cottage just steps away from Cherokee Lake. Enjoy the beautiful lake-mountain view while rocking on the front deck beneath the old Oak trees - no kidding! If you prefer a little activity, take a canoe or kayak trip down the lake or bait a hook and try your luck from the floating dock. Inside you will find a living-dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, sun room, and full bath with shower. A bedroom and half-bath are located upstairs. There is a outdoor fire pit to chase away the evening chill (or roast a hotdog or two) and a flat screen TV if you must. Perfect for individuals or couples celebrating a special occasion or who are looking for a quiet getaway in a serene setting.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon. We loved the kayaks and the bass fishing was amazing. We caught some huge bass right at the dock! Thank you for your kindness.

Adorable!

  • 5 of 5

Loved my little getaway vacation at Piccolo Nido. Pat & Virg thought of everything, and the cottage was spotless. Especially enjoyed being able to take the kayak out every day. Got lovely pics of blue herons and geese and a deer grazing at the shore line. Grilled ribs on the gas grill on the deck and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit - a perfect stress-free vacation! I asked Virg to adopt me so I could just live there permanently but so far no confirmation on that request! :)

Very clean and felt like home. There was candy in the candy dish and cotton balls in the bathroom!

We loved it! It felt like home the minute we walked in! We enjoyed the view and having fires and playing old fashioned board games! It helped us all reconnect . We also enjoyed the kayaks! A nice place to visit, it was an hour or so away from the smoky mountains which was worth the trip to see, especially the trail that takes you to the highest elevation. Thanks for the hospitality!

Quite the place

  • 5 of 5

It was clean, neat, and had everything one needed for a wonderful get-away.

Pat and Virg were very friendly and accommodating. We even had a couple of drinks with them and got to know a lot about them and the surrounding areas. We HIGHLY recommend this place and will stay with them again some day!
