We had a great weekend with family and friends! Both houses were great and had plenty of water floaties and kayaks for everyone. We ended up mostly driving or kayaking between the houses. The lake was beautiful and the perfect temperature for swimming and lounging in the water. Wonderful stay!

Absolutely delightful!

The lake was beautiful, the houses very clean and comfortable. We had all ages from eight down to seven years old and enjoyed every minute of it.

Lake Life

All of us had the best time and loved the entire vacation! The houses, property, and location were perfect for our group. This is the 5th year staying at Douglas and I think our best year yet and will definitely return next year. The only suggestion would be to have a walking bridge over the water to get back and forth between the houses. Otherwise we absolutely love it!!

Consider renting these houses.

We booked both houses for the weekend. We really loved the white house and the access to the water was the best!! The houses have everything you need to have your family/friends close. We really appreciated the kayaks, we had several kids and they were always on the water. The only hiccup and to no fault of the host, the water levels were high so we couldn’t walk between the two houses but the kayak actually was much quicker. We would absolutely rent this place again!! Thank you Justin

Loved staying in this home. Beautiful view of the lake and enjoyed being able to dock our boat only a few steps from the house. We rented both houses, which was great for our 3 families. Homes were both well-appointed and clean. Lots of water toys available for enjoying the lake. We usually chose to drive from house to house, as it was difficult (but possible) to walk between them. We did kayak back and forth a few times, which was fun for the kids and adults. We docked both boats at the white house, as the dock at the other house was in too shallow water due to lower lake levels. Douglas Lake is gorgeous...clean water, wide lake, and beautiful mountain backdrops. The owner was very communicative and helpful. We hope to return and would definitely stay here again.

The houses are very nice, clean and well maintained. You are far enough away from the main lake channel (in a small cove area) that you do not hear the noise of boat motors passing by. They have multiple kayaks for guests to use. The host reacted quickly when we had connection issue with internet and resolved issue. I recommend the houses if you have multiple families or a single family with multiple generations with adult children.
