This one-bedroom condo with spacious open-galley kitchen has a recent complete renovation and refurbishment with new furniture, new appliances, new flooring, new bathroom and new kitchen. COMPLETELY UPGRADED!!
From the lanai of our Maui home on the third floor of the highly desired C Building, you look over the beautifully landscaped garden and the lower pool to the ocean. Or, turn to the left and look over the upper pool to Haleakela - one of the two dramatic volcanos which created Maui. Kamaole II beach is mere steps from our door. Our new unit features tile flooring, new cabinets and granite countertop in the kitchen, new tiled walk in shower in the bathroom with Bali beach stone flooring, new furniture and new painting and decor throughout. The condo is decorated in warm and welcoming colours which invoke the sand and shore. Sitting on the lanai, 3 levels up, there is almost a courtyard feeling in the middle of the lush tropical vegetation of the Kihei Akahi garden. it is a wonderfully zen place to have breakfast or coffee.
Everything you need for your Maui vacation is in the unit including linens, dishes & cutlery, cooking utensils, laundry, beach chairs and toys. Well, not everything. The beach and the sun are outside and the shops and restaurants of Kihei and Wailea are minutes away. We hope you enjoy your stay in our little piece of paradise.

We have been to Maui a number of times and our parents have been numerous times We love Maui and the Akahi. We bought this to be our piece of paradise and we are happy to share it with you.

Lovely unit, well equipped & furnished, great view of a beautiful garden (and a peek at the sea)
We had a very pleasant experience here. The unit was beautiful, we enjoyed the views from the lanai, and almost every time we thought of something that the owner should furnish, we looked a little further and found that it was there (i.e. drying rack, bath mat). The Kihei location is excellent: a great beach across the street, lots of good restaurants nearby, and easy access to exciting drives around the island. The garden was really wonderful, and I was delighted to see two cranes (symbols of longevity and good fortune) come to visit one morning.
I only used the upper pool, and found it suitable for lap swimming, and just the right temperature.
There was one potential glitch: the parking lots had been scheduled for repaving on the morning that we were to check out. However, the management (and the paving company) handled the situation quite well, closing down only sections of the lots and announcing the schedule beforehand. While there was some confusion at first, everything went quite well, and the management deserves kudos.
Beter than advertised
Look no further. Everything everyone is saying is true. Renovated, modern, spacious, spotless, gorgeous grounds, two pools, across street from beach. A bargain!

We were very pleased with the condo. Neal was very patient with my many questions before our stay. The condo was very clean and had everything you would need for the beach, for meal preparation and even for laundering your clothes! The king size bed was very comfortable. The location is great...walk across the road for a great beach and many restaurants and stores are within walking distance. We did rent a car and got around the island easily. At first this comment may sound negative, but hear me out..After going to the beach the first day, we realized that our beach umbrella was missing a "screw type" piece on the bottom of our pole. It must have broken off with usual wear and tear-we still were able to use it that day. Neal had emailed me to make sure all was well upon our arrival. I shared with him about the umbrella and in the blink of an eye, Ed was at the condo to replace the umbrella with a new one. Now THAT is service. Things are bound to break with usage and how that is handled, says alot for the owner. We didn't go a day without an umbrella! Neal wants his guests to have a wonderful, comfortable time on Maui and it shows!! We highly recommend this condo and the service Neal provides! Thanks Neal and Joe for sharing your home with us!!

The condo exceeded our expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice!
I’ll start by stating that Neal is a pleasure to interact with as owner of this fantastic condo. He made sure to check in before, during and after our stay to ensure everything was OK.
The condo itself is in a great location across the street from Kam II beach. Great shops, restaurants beaches and shopping within easy walking distance. The grounds of the condo are also immaculate with the grounds crew there keeping everything beautifully kept (everyday from our experience).
The condo was set up as well as any hotel room with all you could need. Kitchen well stocked, soap for the dishes, dishwasher, washing machine all provided. Containers for leftovers or packing lunches were appreciated too.
Nice to have novels to choose from too...I even left one that I’d brought to add to the collection. Didn’t use the crib board but nice to have if we wanted.
The unit has air conditioning but we never needed to use it. Keep the doors open with the lockable screens and the cross breeze was more than sufficient.
Used the BBQ at the pool on 2 occasions as well and found they were in good condition (heard they were recently replaced). Didn’t use the pool but saw lots of families taking advantage.
Kihei is a great location to explore from. Whether shopping, snorkeling, paddle boarding or surfing all were close by. And driving to other spots on the island was quickly accessed from the Akahi.
We did most of our grocery shopping at the Foodland just down the street. Groceries can be expensive but it’s still cheaper than eating out for every meal!
My wife and I are already planning when we can go back again and Neal’s place is where we want to stay! Mahalo.

Neal and Joe’s condo was great. We immediately noted how exceptionally clean and well maintained the entire condo was. It’s beautifully decorated and well stocked for both kitchen and beach items, (towels, beach chairs and boogie boards). Throughout our involvement with Neal he was always personable, quick to respond and assist with anything we needed. We had occasion to contact his on island contact, Ed, while we were there and he too was incredibly quick to respond. It was comforting to know Neal and Ed were there to ensure we had a successful holiday and we could count on them. If you have not stayed at Kihei Akahi, our family and friends enjoy the lower pool, BBQ area for meals, equipped with full size fridge, sink, microwave with a covered dining area next to the pool. Kihei Akahi is an amazing central location with perfect easy beach access (to multiple beaches) as well as necessary amenities such as shopping, ice cream, shaved ice, Fred’s...the important things :) In the early evening, just cross the street where you can soak in the most amazing sunsets.

What a treat to arrive at the condo and find it beautifully clean, tastefully furnished and ready to move in. The location is fantastic. Just across the street from the beach, close to shopping and restaurants what more could you ask? Everything you need is in the condo. Beach equipment, towels and the kitchen has all the utensils you will ever need. Just move in, unpack and relax.
