We loved the place, which was in the heart of Cap Cana. The apartment had all the amenities we needed, making our stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. Richard was very responsive to all issues. The apartments location was fantastic with spectacular views of harbor and ocean. The other side of the harbor is off the beaten path which has many beautiful condo's, shops and Api beach which is secluded and spectacular. My only complaint was that the resort does not providing a free shuttle to the other side of the harbor and beach. We would definitely rent this place again.

Beautiful and comfortable apartment

I stayed in a one bedroom very similar to this one overlooking the pool. The unit was very comfortable with lots of space, good quality furniture and I had two spacious terraces. Place was very clean and in-unit internet was very promptly and easily arranged for me. Ricardo was very responsive and answered all my questions and made sure I had everything I need. Zero complaints about the unit. With respect to the resort itself service is generally good. The guests were also all lovely. There was construction by Ape beach, lots of washed up seaweed and you were not able to swim in the water. Juanillo beach is nice but it is tiny and does not allow for long walks. The food also left something to be desired. I would recommend this resort for the pool and the golf and the very spacious units. If you're looking for serious beach, this is not the place.

Thanks for the review Nadine. Juanillo Beach is 2 km long. We also have 3 more beaches in Cap Cana. Api Beach, Alsol Beach and Caleton Beach. All within 10 minutes.

Cloud 9 Paradise

We stayed from Thu to Sun for 3 nights. If you want to get break the monotonous routine and make a quick getaway to heaven, this is it. The warm Dominican Republic sun will recharge, revitalize and reform you to your days when you were in your teens. Ricardo offers reasonable rates. The spacious suite is only a fraction of what it would cost to stay at a five star luxury hotel. The resort is new and filled with tons of attentive and resourceful staff members. The unit is on the 4th floor, the top floor, with a sweeping view of the Cap Cana waterway to see the boats go bustling by. Viewing the sunset while sipping wine on the deck made me forget all the New York office related worries. The resort is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. You're by the poolside sipping rum & coke within 1 hour after landing at the airport (we asked our taxi driver to stop by the grocery store before arrival so it was 1 hour 15 minutes). Nice gym to work out. Golf at La Cana for 140 dollar/round, is only 10 minutes away by taxi - be sure to book via golfpuntacana.com to avoid the 70 dollar taxi ride (both ways). The beach was closed but the big pool 200 yards from the unit was great. We didn't need to convert dollars into DR's local currency. Dollars were well accepted everywhere we went. The room is modern, new and well decorated. It's practical with a kitchen with all cooking utensils and silverware. Great for a family. We ate out at the resort's restaurants. Cielo's food was bland but great staff. Electrical plugs used the same plugs as in the US - no need for a socket converter. I guess the small setback was the small TV with poor resolution. I had difficulty watching my football games. But connection to many channels was great. Also, the wifi connection was poor and I had to pay 12 dollars for one day connection twice at the reception separately. The small shop within the resort sells souvenir, basic food, beer, chocolate and potato chips, more than enough if staying only for a few days. Have a great time! Regards, Jun

Great view

The condo is in an excellent location with a great view of the water. The communication with the owner (Ricardo) was good. Check in process was very good. On the downside, there was no tv in the living room (as shown on the picture) only the tv bracket. TV in the bedroom didn’t work. Stove didn’t work and coffee maker didn’t have the pot to make coffee. We have visited Cap Cana several times over the past few years and enjoyed each visit. This time however there is a big problem with sargassum which produce a foul smell that is felt everywhere and prevented us of getting in the water.

Beautiful condo with great sunset views!

We really enjoyed our ten days in this condo. The view is spectacular and Ricardo was extremely prompt and thorough in his responses to all of my questions. This location and condo would be good for anyone looking for a low key vacation. The pools are nice and the resort property is well kept. The food in the restaurants where we ate was poor and expensive so we were glad to cook our own meals. We were able to rent a car also through Ricardo and he arranged airport pick up. He provided thorough information about all of the activities in the area. Almost everything needed to know is outlined very thoroughly in the descriptions and photos. The only few downsides: 1. The kitchen is lacking in the ability to easily cook as the non-stick pans need to be replaced. The non-stick coating is coming off and no longer is safe to use. 2. There were no basic kitchen supplies such as salt and pepper, etc. Had I read all of the info, I would have known this. Fortunately, since we had a car we could drive into town to the large supermarket and get what we needed. 3. The king bed is extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) hard! There was no mattress pad on the bed and that might have helped some. 4. The location of Cap Cana is far from anything! Within the resort and surrounding area all food and activities (especially golf) are EXTREMELY experience. Beware and know ahead of time how much tax and tip is added onto the bill. Very few waiters speak passable English. Thanks, Ricardo for being a great host!

Super Unterkunft. Könnte etwas sauberer sein, aber für den dortigen Standard war es wirklich wie im 4-5 Sterne Hotel. Man kann nichts negatives sagen. Nette Pools, wenig Leute. Man hat mal seine Ruhe und nicht diese ganzen Touristen. Wir sagen TOP und würden wiederkommen. Ciao Mathias from Switzerland

Great vacation!

I enjoyed staying at one of Richard's condos (4002) in Fish Camp. Stayed a month and it was relaxing, warm, and hard to leave. The huge balcony was my favorite where we enjoyed breezes, sun and watching the yachts slip from the marina into the ocean. Spend time at the Spa, many restaurants, disco, and pools and beaches. Dominican people are a sweet people and I enjoyed them. Too much to exclude here.

Great vacation

We spent February at the Fishing Lodge and had a great experience. First, the property looked exactly like the pictures on the website. Our fourth floor condo marina was beautiful and well-appointed with travertine tiles, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer, a plus when staying a month. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. From our balcony we had a view of the marina and could watch as the boats and yachts came in and out. It is a short walk to Threel pools or the beach. The Alsol beach is not the best, but we could get to either API beach or Juanillo Beach with a short drive and they were beautiful and large. The owner Ricardo, from whom we rented the unit, was extremely receptive to our needs. We emailed him about a couple of issues and they were resolved quickly. A new remote was delivered when the old one got quirky and a light over the stove replaced promptly… not big deals but he was on them immediately. Renting a car is highly recommended since there are many interesting places to explore within a 15 to 20 minute drive. With some searching, we found one @ Europecar rental for $20 per day with tax. The collision insurance was covered with a benefit of our Visa card. (You must bring a letter of confirmation from the card company) This saved $10 per day. Punta Cana has few private cars on the roads and there is little risk of accidents. PC has only two traffic lights so I opted out of liability insurance. We opted against the all-inclusive option and did a pay as you go. By leaving our credit card at the desk we could charge meals in any of the resort’s restaurants and local sister hotels.. We especially enjoyed the seafood at the resort beach. We did a lot of cooking in our condo, which we enjoyed doing. The local super market, National, is well stocked with great food, meats, spices, liquor and wine. One might consider bringing any specialty luxury type foods because most likely you will not find it in Punta Cana. Most things end about 10-10:30 in all of Punta Cana so if you want to relax, this is the place. There are though several clubs that open @ 11p and Ricardo can point you in that direction. We liked the all the restaurants in the Punta Cana Village (outside of the resort next to the grocery store. Outstanding and very affordable Chinese, Mexican, Spanish, Italian and a great pizza take out. Credit cards are accepted universally. We would recommend this vacation condo and location to all our friends.

Awesome flat & stay!

My girlfirend and I stayed for a week in January and loved the flat & Ricardo for his responsiveness. the flat: super modern, very nicely and comfortable decorated. The size is 80+ sqm plus balcony for a one bedroom, we felt immediatly at home and didn't feel like leaving. the resort: on the quiet side, exactly what we had looked for. we had rented a car to get access to beaches in the area. the 2 close to the Aslol luxury village are quite tiny. Juanillo and Playa Blanca are great and only 10min drive away Ricardo: super helpfull and responsive. Very easy to transact with him and everything worked perfectley fine. can fully recommend again!

Outstanding resort with friendly helpful staff.

Excellent view of the beautiful Caribbean blue sea in the marina section of the resort. Very clean and spacious condo with modern facilities. The pools were very relaxing & clean, the staff was always available. I've stayed at many hotels and resorts throughout the world, this was the number one shower water pressure I've ever experienced in our condo. Property manager (Ricardo) was very responsive with any questions for needs. Relaxing vacation and highly recommended!

Loved the place.

You just can't find a nicer place. Great staff, Beautiful condo. The owner is great he responds fast and does everything he says he will do. I WILL be staying there again. Very peaceful place that will help you relax.
