We enjoyed our stay at the property. For what we needed it worked out great for our visit. Walking distance to the lake. Close to Mackinac Island. Ferry dock is close by, we rode our bicycles there to then take to the island.
So happy that you enjoyed your stay. See you next time;)
Perfect Quaint Lake Home
The house’s location is absolutely perfect! 10 minutes to Mackinaw City, 3 minutes to grocery store, near a park with playground, 4 minutes from Saint Ignace and ferry docks!! The house had everything we needed and then some.....not to mention a bad$&s second level balcony we had our coffee on every morning overlooking the lake! It was clean as heck and the owner responded to every question in seconds! We rent houses every time we travel so we have seen the good, the bad and the ugly......this was definitely one of the best!! Hope to be back soon as we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do!! Don’t hesitate....
A nice family vacation home
We had a nice vacation in St Ignace over the past five days! The house is nice, clean, and homey! It’s near the beautiful St Ignace downtown, Mackinac Bridge and the State Park, and the beautiful lake! We love it here! We were able to drive to Sault St Marie, Tahquamenon Falls, and Pictured Rocks! We love it!
Suitable accomodations and nicely located
We really enjoyed the nearby parks and pier. The upper balcony was really nice to have at night after the kids went to bed.
This is not for someone with high standards as because of the age of the house, it has quirks. Floors are slanted, doors don't shut. But it's a perfectly serviceable and so centrally located, it suited us fine.
Lori & I have been coming up to St. Ignace for twenty two years. Being professional photographers we loved the scenery and fell in love with the people. After ten years of looking for our own little piece of heaven we stumbled upon The Love Shack.
Mark purchased this Cottage in 2008
Why Mark chose Saint Ignace
The location of the love shack is perfect. When we bought the home it had been vacant for many years. Noone saw what we saw. We have redone almost everything but as we all know the work of an older home keeps us jumping. It is close to town and all the happenings. The views are wonderful and with 4 children in our family the playground is right down the street.
