NO SPRING BREAKERS - Families on Spring Break Welcome.
Book early as this condo fills up early - Weekly rentals (5 to 7 days) from Saturday to Saturday are typical. Shorter stays (less than 5) accepted closer to open dates.
ONLINE BOOKINGS - PLEASE READ!!!! On-line bookings are welcome. Most of my bookings are weekly from Saturday to Saturday. If booking on-line for a Saturday to Saturday weekly booking please proceed as directed. If you are looking for a shorter term rental, please ask for quote before booking. I typically only accept weekly bookings during the summer weeks and some higher demand off-season weeks, so please request quotes for shorter term bookings (6 days same price as 7 because weekly rates are AWESOME!!!!). I also accept bookings direct the old fashioned way.
'Owners editorial' When traveling to the ocean, my family always wanted to stay at a Beach Front unit. We always felt that if we're spending a lot of money to travel, why compromise and stay at a ocean view or garden view unit. Many advertise their units as Beach Front or Gulf Front. When investigating, you find that they are a garden view unit in a beach front complex or they have a partial beach view from one room or from the deck. I'm sorry, those are not beachfront. In fact they are deceptive. If they are covering up the fact that they are not beachfront, what else are they covering up? This condo is a true Beach Front/ Gulf Front unit in every way.
We bought this unit because it is like the condos that we'd typically look for when shopping for a vacation rental. It has breath-taking views from the bedroom, living room and the deck (A stones throw to the gulf - I actually threw a stone from our deck to the water once - It's as close to the water and beach as you can get!!!).
Being a family with a limited budget, we understand trying to get the best value. We have decided to offer our unit for rent at prices similar to garden view units. By offering our condo at competitive rates, we hope to have it booked solid (this will allow us to keep the rates down) We hope you will come and stay at our condo in South Padre Island. And a quick not about a "remodeled condo". Many advertise a remodel condo. They may have updates but not remodeled. You find old cabinets with new tops, old doors, mosaic patterned tile (main living separate from kitchen, separate from bathroom, separate from bedroom because they've be redone over the years at different times, etc. etc. You'll see a difference in our condo, 100% new high end cabinetry, new granite tops that match, new porcelain tile flooring that is the same throughout. We actually just re-did the baseboard removing the wood baseboard and installed the porcelain tile on the walls. Nothing wrong with the wood but the tile looks so much nicer. IT'S THE SMALL DETAILS THAT SETS CERTAIN CONDOS APART FROM THE REST. Our condo is one you will enjoy and you may be part of the many who return on a yearly basis due to the appeal and the value you get when staying in our condo.
Sofa Sleeper, Love Seat, Large 42" Flat Screen TV, DVD Player. Some Family DVD's to keep the kids busy with as well as some other family friendly DVD's. New sliding glass doors to Large Deck. Ceiling fan. AWESOME GULF VIEWS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE LIVING ROOM OR KITCHEN.
NEW Kitchen as of May 2011. New Raised Panel Maple Cabinets with glazed finish. New Granite Counter Tops.
New Stainless Steel Refrigerator, Range, Dishwasher and Microwave/Range hood. Toaster, Coffee Maker and Blender also included. Lots of pots, pans and utensils. New porcelain tile floor. We just replaced the dishwasher in Nov. of 2016 (old one worked but we keep things new and fresh!!!!)
The typical 'Tiki Wall' was removed in the kitchen allowing for a openness not found in most Tiki condo units. Cabinets and the "Tiki wall" typically obstruct the beautiful view from the kitchen area. NOT HERE. Also many units have another "Tiki wall" in the bathroom that separates the sink area from the toilet area leaving the shower are too small. Many have removed that wall for more room. Our condo is the ONLY one that I'm aware of that during the bathroom remodel, we moved the wall in order for more room in the shower/toilet area while still allowing privacy between the sink and shower/toilet areas (Are you noticing all the "little" things that sets this condo apart from others?)

Large 13' x 15' Bedroom with King Bed with new Beauty Rest Mattress and Foundation, Two New Dressers, Two New Night Stands, Clock Radio,New Wall Hung Flat Screen TV and new Porcelain Tile Floors. New sliding glass doors to Large Deck. Ceiling fan for added comfort. AWESOME GULF VIEWS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE BEDROOM.
100% remodeled in November or 2012. Separate room with new vanity, granite top and 2 sinks. Separate room with new tiled shower with glass doors, granite top bench and granite recessed shelf.

Maybe my favorite place to be!!! New bar height chairs with back in 2014. Bar height chairs chosen so the view to the gulf is not hampered by the deck railing. Wicker bar height table with shelves to enjoy your favorite beverage from. New in 2017, Tiled deck with mosaics - confirmed by the Tiki staff - THE BEST DECK at the Tiki.
Wireless Internet Service is available at no charge. The modem is located in our unit for trouble free use.
All the Island activities and attractions are a walk, drive or shuttle away. The Island shuttle stops in front of the complex and can take you anywhere on the island for free.
This condo complex is located towards the north end of all the island development. There is a vacant lot directly north of our condo complex, Clayton's beach bar/restaurant north of that, then the LaQuinta/Hilton and then miles and miles of beach after that. Our condo is located in the North East corner adding to the privacy.

About the owner: We have been married for 30+ years and are blessed to have two wonderful healthy children. We worked together in a family owned business in Wisconsin until recently.
Why the Owner Chose South Padre Island, TX, USA:
We have friends who bought a condo at the Tiki in Spring of 2010. We went to visit in the Fall and purchased our condo in February 2011. We loved the location of this facility and condo. Being at the north end of the island, it offers privacy and less congestion. We love long walks on the beach and this location is perfect for that. The large deck, proximity to the beach and Gulf, and views from every room in the condo made it a perfect fit.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The view. The view and the view. You can't beat it anywhere. We have had people who have stayed on every floor of the Tiki say, 'We will not stay anywhere else, other than the 3rd floor/beachfront unit We just love it!' The cathedral ceilings also add to the openness which are only available on the 3rd floor units. The large deck with bar height chairs is a great place to be. Views from every room in the condo are breathtaking. Also, the condo has been totally remodeled with all new matching porcelain floor tile throughout, new cabinets and vanity with granite counters, most of the furniture and decorations are new, new appliances and all the items you'd want in the kitchen are new and supplied. ------------ Do your homework!!!! Make sure that the beach front listing is truly a beach front unit. Check into the size of the unit as well as the proximity to the Gulf. Our condo is 750 SF, a whooping 170 SF larger than other popular one bedroom units on SPI and is as close to the Gulf as you can get. The degree of the remodel is also a difference you will see. Not all condos are equal and this one has been said to be one of the best at the Tiki.
