End of the Point - Cottage -- Unique One of Kind Private Oasis.

Bedrooms 3
Space 800 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

This is a chance for a unique Pacific Northwest experience. The property is a rare opportunity to experience living on the Puget Sound....It is truly one of a kind. Professionally decorated beach house sits out over the Puget Sound. Wake up with the sun light filtering through the many windows. Walk out on a private deck over looking the expansive view with a hot cup of coffee. Just a few steps down to a very private beach. Search for crabs, go clamming, look for oysters, or build a rock collection. At night snuggle up on the deck, and listen to the tide come in or relax by the indoor electric fireplace in the bedroom on those chilly NW nights. Beach house has expansive windows for sweeping views, fully stocked kitchen and linens, washer and dryer, 55" t.v., and WIFI if you really need to be connected but we have a feeling you won't.

Minutes away from the Bremerton downtown area with fountain park, naval museum, and eateries. Catch a ferry to downtown Seattle for a day trip to the markets, museums, theater, and so much more.

Close by is plenty to do from golf, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, bowling, breweries, camping....most of all RELAXING.

About The Owner

We are a family of 4 who work hard and are dedicated to loving our boys. Our home is something that we take exceptional care of and if we are not working to make it just right for our visitors, we are working on our main residence to make it just right for us. We love to be on the water, travel, and be together.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2001

Why The Owner chose Puget Sound North

The Kitsap area is a beautiful region that is close to so much but still remote enough to feel that peace and relaxation we forget to take time for. This home is truly unique, one of a kind, and an amazing NW experience.

What makes this cottage unique

Quiet relaxation in a beach atmosphere. This homes sits steps away from the water. It is truly a rare home that even people in the NW have never experienced. We love 'End of the Point' and are excited to share it with you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We don't want to leave. This cottage is charming and peaceful. We all loved it most especially your responsiveness and the scenery. We couldn't have asked for a better place to vacation. We will be back. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Beautiful cottage on the water. Small but had what we needed.

  • 4 of 5

This cottage is a gem. It's beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you are right on top of the water. It's clean and had what we needed, even for a family of 5. We kept the windows open to hear the water and for the cool breeze. At night we sat on the deck and enjoyed the sunset. There are a couple of easy additions that I would add to make the home even more enjoyable. The front bedroom has a beautiful view but no curtains so the sun is sure to make you up. This room also doesn't have a door and is right next to the kitchen. My son would make up earlier than we all wanted because of these two things.

Perfect space, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

What a rare event in the Northwest: a warm, dry Memorial Day weekend. And we couldn't have picked a better place to enjoy it!

"End of the Point" is a one of a kind property, secluded and private but still close to civilization (if you want it.) At high tide, the cottage is literally ON the water - you could fish out the bedroom window. The place is small, but space is used efficiently so you never feel cramped. Three small bedrooms, a generous sized bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen make this an ideal location for families.

The outdoor space is situated on a lower lot below another house, but it is arranged so as to give complete privacy. The shaded area is great when the heat gets too much. Lighting and a nice assortment of furniture make it easy to relax or dine outside day or night.

We arrived to find the property immaculately clean with everything we could possibly need, including a large hi-def TV, wi-fi, and full laundry. The owners were very pleasant to deal with.

We will definitely return. Hopefully, we'll be as lucky with the weather next time!

A wonderful beach house with an amazing view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband had a conference last week and I am so glad that Silverdale by the Bay was booked or I would never have found this place! This is an 800 sq foot cottage, directly on the water. So close in fact, that when the tide comes in you feel like you are on a boathouse! The view of the Sound is unsurpassed. The waters were so calm while we were there and the weather was so nice that we could see the Olympic mountains too. Whoever decorated this place really captured beach-y decor with fabulous colors. I liked that it wasn't overly cluttered or done. The bed and linens and towels were very nice (a big plus for me!). The bathroom was a very nice size with a tub/shower. (Also a plus.)

The kitchen is small, but cute and functional with white subway tiles and i was surprised it was as well stocked, with good knives even. (I didn't need to bring my own cooking pot after all - also it had a dishwasher! ) I enjoy cooking on vacations and made dinner both evenings because i didn't want to leave the place, and in fact never did. After a terrible wet winter and spring it was finally nice to be able to sit outside by the water and read a book and have a glass of wine.

This place may be too small for two adult couples, but it's perfect for a couple with two kids. Or a friends gathering (there are three bedrooms, though two are fairly small.) And if you are looking for a retreat to go off by yourself to read or write or whatever, i could totally see myself coming here alone if i needed to get away.

This cottage reminded me a little of the Iron Springs resort cabins where we've stayed on Copalis Beach. For kicks i put in for a quote on what it would have cost to stay there for two days and it was nearly double the money! So granted there is no ocean beach to take longs walks, but i like this view better at End of the Point. And it has a larger and better outside deck area, and unlike Copalis Beach, Bremerton does offer some fine restaurants near by. (We had planned to eat at Anthony's Homeport, but as i said, i didn't want to leave.)

The feeling of being away from it all is the same. So for my money End of the Point is the place to go. We don't normally think of Bremerton as a place to vacation, but i would come back here to just to stay at this cottage. The owners, Mike and Rachel are super responsive with any questions too.

I loved the house. I would like to suggest an outside fire pit as well as some type of system for playing music. Very convenient to stores and the ferry to Seattle. Loved our daily visits by the seal!!
