This cabin was originally built in the 1960s using logs and lumber harvested from the surrounding forest. As one of the first structures in the Edelweiss area, it began as a hunter’s camp—complete with a horse corral for trips into the backcountry. Years later, it was thoughtfully remodeled from a rustic shelter into a cozy, comfortable getaway.
Set among open woods with views of Lucky Jim Bluff, the property is bordered by Fawn Creek, which tumbles down the hillside from early spring through late summer, filling the air with the soothing sound of cascading water.
Inside Fawn Creek Hideaway you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware, spices, a dishwasher, microwave, 3 types of coffeemakers(standard drip, french press and pour over coffee option, coffee grinder provided as well), tea lovers have a tea kettle, electric kettle and loose leaf tea leaves holder. . A sunny enclosed breakfast nook and open living room with a gas fireplace create a welcoming space to relax. There is a laundry room with washer/dryer and a bathroom with walk in shower(shampoo conditioner and bodywash provided) The upstairs bedroom, perched among the trees like a private treehouse, features a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. Downstairs, another queen bedroom with sliding glass doors opens onto the deck. For extra guests, a queen sofa bed is available in the living room. The cabin also includes a Smart TV (Netflix, YouTubeTV, and more—use your own login), a Bluetooth speaker, radio, and high-speed internet.
Outdoor spaces are designed for relaxation. Enjoy your morning coffee/tea on the cozy side deck, or gather for dinner and drinks on the large covered deck with its BBQ and dining table. Unwind in the cedar sauna (seats 4–6) with a changing room, or cool off with your feet in the crisp mountain water of Fawn Creek on a warm afternoon.
Location & access: Trails are just steps away. Walk 10 minutes downhill to the Lunachick trailhead or uphill to Lower Fawn Creek Trail and explore the Rendezvous Basin. Both connect to the 120-mile Methow Valley Trail System—perfect for biking, hiking, or skiing without needing to drive. Or, stay close to home and enjoy the serenity of Fawn Creek Hideaway in our climate controlled cabin to read, paint, write or pursue your favorite creative endeavor. Wonderful vacation in a cozy cottage
Mazama, the Cascade Mountains and this well-kept, wonderfully comfortable, updated cabin right next to a creek in the woods was absolutely perfect. We spent an awesome 12 days of the summer enjoying a different day hike every single day in the Cascades. Thanks a lot for sharing your vacation home. We would love to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was in a beautiful setting, clean and comfortable and supplied with everything you need. Location was great for our day trips to Chelan, Grand Coulee Dam, Harts Pass and Osoyoos BC.
We will be back. Thank you.
We had a very comfortable winter stay at Fawn Creek Hideway. The cabin was spacious for our family of 4 with many cozy spots to sit, read, and enjoy the forest views. The kitchen was very well-stocked which made cooking easy. The setting is beautiful, close to town and just a short trip to a ski trailhead. We had to pry ourselves away when it was time to check out.

So glad you had a nice time:) Happy to have you stay again in the future.
A week long stay to cross country ski the Methow valley trails. The location was great as access to trails was a short walk down the street hill. The place was as advertised. The only hiccup was the driveway had not been plowed and was icy underneath but there was a shovel and sand nearby.

Overall nice time
The cabin is great, exactly what you would want in a cabin. Location is not as private as described. There is a new cabin directly behind it and a new build going up next to it. Construction during the week wasn’t very relaxing but weekends were quiet.

Very clean, cozy and comfortable
The cabin had everything we needed. Clean and warm and quaint. No issues. A rarity but the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The beds were comfortable. Our dog loved romping and rolling in the snow. We are so grateful they allowed pets. It was so cozy that we rarely left and just enjoyed relaxing around the property and the cabin. We will definitely be back!

We were two couples sharing the house for a nordic ski getaway. The cabin was adorable and nicely appointed; we all enjoyed the artwork. The porch with the heated floor that contained the dining table and a comfortable couch for reading was a really fun spot. The kitchen was big enough for more than one person to work in, and was very well supplied with kitchen items. We especially enjoyed the nice outdoor sauna. The brook in the backyard was wonderful too. The beds were comfortable. There was a nice front deck that was sunny and would be fun in the warmer weather. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely make a return visit.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and we'd be happy to host you again!
This is our second year staying at Fawn Creek Hideway. We come in late May/early June to bird watch. The cabin is convenient to Rte 20 and Mazama, you can hear the sound of Fawn Creek through open windows. There is a large set of common rooms - kitchen, living room, dining room - on the main floor, and a master bedroom upstairs with a lovely view of trees and the sound of birds. Fishing and hunting trophies, art and decor abound. There are wildflowers blooming on the lawn. Plentiful and quick hot water, a dishwasher that didn't quite work how we expected, laundry facilities - everything we needed!
The property is just as described. Beautiful setting, quiet, nestled in the woods, close to hiking, biking, river rafting. It is clean, appointed comfortably and we had everything we needed. Plus our little dog was happy to be with us! Thank you to the owners for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
Excellent layout with everything you would ever need. Perfect home, good beds, comfy furniture.
We enjoyed the cleanliness and attention to detail such as plenty of tp and other amenities. We drove back and forth to Winthrop twice a day for roaming around then back again for dinner. Not many places to eat as several were closed up. Plan ahead for restaurants or just use the kitchen as they provide everything.
We loved our stay at Fawn Creek Hideaway. When we weren't out hiking the trails we spent our time on the porch watching the hummingbirds and enjoying the space. Two of us slept in one of the two bedrooms and the third on the couch/bed in the living room. The kitchen was well supplied with all of the necessary cooking equipment such as pots, pans, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, glassware, etc. If the weather wasn't as good as it was, we would have spent our time in the breakfast nook. Such a lovely space. We would love to return in the winter for a cross country ski trip and an opportunity to try out the sauna.
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at the Fawn Creek Hideaway. We love it, and it allows us to get our dog away form the fireworks that drive him crazy. It's close to our favorite hiking spots. We also appreciate being able to feed the humming birds while we are there. I hesitate tow rite a good review because other people will be interested. Please don't take out spot!
Great location right off SR20 and situated between Winthrop and Mazama. Great birdwatching and access to biking and walking trails. The quick run into Mazama for coffee was easy and enjoyable. Loved the breakfast nook and outdoor deck Great location in warmer weather as there is lots of shade. Would book again in a heartbeat.
