About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6. 6 adults max)

This modern town home, fully and lovingly renovated in 2011, combines the comfort and style of contemporary furniture with the warmth of family heirlooms, all in a dramatic architectural space. There are NO CLEANING FEES for stays of seven nights or more AND NO SECURITY DEPOSITS, so you’ll know in advance exactly what your vacation will cost. No pets accepted. Sorry...

Settling in: Mingle in the upstairs great room, where the kitchen, living, and dining areas flow together under a cathedral ceiling. The Vermont Castings gas stove will keep you toasty on a snowy winter day, while in summer the windows on opposite sides will bring in the fresh mountain air. There’s satellite TV with a built-in DVD player, a stereo-CD player, and 7 megabyte wireless broadband internet. Washer and dryer, too.

Sleeping and unpacking: The two bedrooms, both downstairs, have new queen beds topped with cozy comforters and comfy cotton bedding, closets, and plenty of drawer space. There’s a comfortable full-size sofa-bed in the living room, plus two foam cushions in the loft that make up into two singles for the kids.

Cooking and eating: The fully-equipped granite kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare a morning breakfast or a Thanksgiving family feast. Add the leaves to the dining room table and it expands from seating six to ten. There’s even a covered deck with a gas grill for BBQing year-round. But why you’d want to cook, given CB’s culinary diversity and reputation, is beyond us!

No bathroom traffic jams: The downstairs bath has a double-sink vanity and a separate room for the toilet and tub. Upstairs is another gorgeous ¾ bath with an oversized shower. Plus two-person-wide mirrors in both baths and the softest Egyptian cotton towels you’ve ever wrapped up in.

Views: Enjoy a sunny summer breakfast on the deck with its wildflower garden, or gaze out the great room windows to a knock-your-socks-off view of Mt Created Butte or up-valley to the ski area and the July 4th fireworks celebration.

Getting around: With two off-street parking spaces, you’ll have no alternative side of the street parking hassles to contend with. Just park your car and put away the keys. You’re one block from the Mountain Express bus stop that takes you (for free) straight to Mt Crested Butte and the ski area. You’re one block from the paved “recreation path/bike path” to the mountain; and three blocks from Elk Avenue, Crested Butte’s historic main street, with its shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, and more.

Four-season enjoyment: Crested Butte’s best kept secret is its wonderful, sunny four-season climate. Its nearly year-round snow-capped peaks, abundant wildflowers, splendid fall colors, and funky Fourth of July parade make it even more popular in the “other” seasons than it is in the winter.

Keywords: Skiing, X-C skiing, hiking, mountain biking, wildflowers, fall colors, lots of playgrounds, near shuttle to ski area, near historic downtown

About Donna Mullins

We, Donna and John Mullins, first came to Crested Butte in 1972 and have been in love with the town and area ever since. We are seasoned travelers and still believe Crested Butte is among the most beautiful places in the world. Our two daughters, Kristina and Heather, grew up in Crested Butte as their second home and now share it with their families. Our three year old twin grandsons think riding the big ski bus to the mountain is the coolest thing ever! John is a professor at London Business School and shares his time between England and Colorado. Donna is a gerontologist and senior housing design consultant. We anticipate many, many more years of family enjoyment in Crested Butte and the area.

Donna Mullins purchased this townhome in 1992

Why Donna Mullins chose Crested Butte Area

We made a commitment to Crested Butte in 1972 and have owned property of one kind or another here ever since. We wanted a place to call home in the mountains. We enjoy all seasons in Crested Butte and find the drive from the Denver Metro Area spectacular with the time flying by.

What makes this townhome unique

We think it's wonderful that we can park the car and leave it parked during our entire stay if we choose to do so. Almost everything we do is accessible by foot or bicycle or bus. We enjoy hiking, biking, the music, art, playing in the playgrounds and especially the restaurants in town..

Wonderful downtown town home

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this condo over NYE 2016. It's walking distance (maybe 5 minutes) from town and even closer to the bus line to get up to the mountain. It was clean, bright with sunlight, had a kid's loft (which was a huge hit with my children), and so conveniently located. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be coming back for more! :) The Bryans

A nice place to stay in Crested Butte.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Donna and John's condo while exhibiting at the CB Arts Festival. It was a short walk to the show and very convenient. My brother joined us and the 2 off street parking spaces were nice to have on a busy weekend in town. We cooked in a few times and the kitchen was very well appointed. The beds were nice and comfortable. At first, I was a bit put off by the "no shoes in the house rule" but we got used to it. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Donna and John, for a nice place to stay.

BEAUTIFUL CRESTED BUTTE IN-TOWN CONDO

  • 5 of 5

The condo is located in the town of Crested Butte and is within easy walking distance to the towns many shops and restaurants. It is very well equipped with beautiful furniture, well equipped kitchen, in-condo washer & dryer, WIFI & cable tv. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Crested Butte and appreciated a nice place to come "home" to in the evenings. Our 2 grandchildren loved the loft!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your wonderful review, Sheri and Karl! We always love hearing from happy guests. Our grandsons love the loft, too, which we built before they were born -- for them. We hope many other grandchildren will do the same. Please come stay again sometime... Donna + John

You need to stay here!

  • 5 of 5

No joke. This is one of the best places my husband and I have ever stayed in all our vacationing. Close enough to walk to downtown or the bike paths. Beautiful property that is quiet and peaceful. The owners were welcoming and wonderful to my family as we hit a couple snags in our vacation planning. If you go to Crested Butte, you MUST stay here!

Great Condo

  • 5 of 5

This one is in very good condition, nicely furnished, walk in on ground floor, park outside. Generally quiet area near downtown. Owners did me a favor when I had to cancel last year and gave me full credit to stay this year, pretty nice I would say. The town and surrounding area are beautiful.

A wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this townhome! It was spottlessly clean, well appointed and had all the amenities someone's home without the clutter of their belongings! Clearly the owners love and use their townhome regularly and leave it in immaculate condition for their guests. We were a family of 4 and were very comfortable and look forward to coming back! Easy walking distance to bus and while several blocks from main downtown area, could walk there easily in 10 minutes.
