Welcome to Misty Mountain Cabin nestled in the heart of Franklin and at the edge of the Natalhala Forest. This two bedroom cozy cabin is sure to take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Wake up looking across the misty mountain while sipping coffee on the front porch. Take a drive toward Highlands and stop for hike at dry falls. Come home and relax by the fire pit while cooking up s'mores. Our cabin has 2 queen beds and a brand new fully remodeled bathroom. We have an eat in spacious kitchen with a full size oven, stove, and refrigerator. The cabin has a large front and back yard which is away from the busy streets and is perfect for children or animals running around. Close by attractions are gem stone mining, river tubing and kayaking, antique shopping, Smoky Mountain Arts venue, museums, hiking, boating, fishing and much more.

Quite and welcoming

The house is welcoming as you drive up! The fire pit and string of lights instantly reminds you of smores and relaxation! Upon entrance you see a wonderful decorative living room ! Among the games and old toys there is a feeling of relaxation! The bedrooms are calming and beds are just the right amount of firm! We cant wait to come back!

Nice short getaway

Travelled to Franklin to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary and attend Henry Cho concert at Smoky Mountain Arts Center. Quaint and comfortable. Owner was nice and thoughtful with gift for our anniversary. Was very quick overnight as we had to leave early next morning. Make sure you try nearby CafeREL. Awesome place to eat. Will rent again when we have more time to spend.

The air conditioning should have been on when we got.there it took several hours to get it comfortable. Outside had not been mowed or shrubs taken care of. House clean and supplied.

An oasis!

The house when pulling up, was lit. The front porch light on, and the patio lights running to the firepit. As opening the door, I fell in love. These ladies, thought of everything. They had snacks on table, water, coffee, and even lemonade packets. The furniture was comfy, the nights of sleep was delightful. The bathroom was like a spa. They had anything you would need. The sheets on the bed, and pillows, was dreamy. I will say thank you for sharing a neat house. I will be back to stay longer. This was not for a pleasure trip. But I will be back to explore.

We are from Macon Georgia but have been coming to this area for a long time. our grandmother was born in Franklin and Our Parents bought this house many years ago. It has hosted many people and provided many wonderful vacations over the years. We love vacationing ourselves and love creating spots for others to relax, refresh and enjoy. We hope that you will enjoy every minute of your stay.

Why they chose this property

Franklin is a great place to stay in the smoky mountains. Untouched by commercialism, it's like stepping back into yesteryear. The people in Franklin are some of the friendliest we know. Franklin is central to so many other destinations Try day trips to Dry Falls, Highlands, Clayton, Dillsborough and Bryson City. Even Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Asheville are great for day trips. Enjoy hiking, Canoeing, Kayaking and gemstone mining locally. Also if you're flying in, our place is only a mile away from the Franklin Airport.

What makes this property unique

Our Cabin sits away from town in the county side. There are neighbors close by but it feels like you are away from them all. We have a beautiful fire pit area with string lights overhead that makes a great ending to any night. Our front porch is great for slowly waking up while sipping coffee in the mornings. Just around bend is the river where you kayak or swim or picnic. All around our property are gem mines where you can pan for rubies, garnets, emeralds, sapphire, quartz & kyanite.
