Family Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Terrific for a large family with wonderful spaces to enjoy together. The home is perfectly located in a neighborhood that provides beach access within a 10 minute walk, a small walk for coffee and ice cream, and cute playground with tennis and basketball courts just across the street. All of the outdoor decks, pool and hot tub are perfect if it may be a rainy day.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was comfortable but a number of areas can be improved. No linens on beds and NO paper in any bathroom or kitchen; (although this is clearly in section 24 of the lease it is still stunningly non-friendly). No gas in grill, screen in porch torn and fan non-functional (management did respond when notified). Neighborhood is very “House-dense” and access to beach is poor, requiring a roundabout 15 minute walk.

Well just one mans opinion but...

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been bringing my family to the outer banks for 30 years now.We have been fortunate to stay at many different homes managed my most every company at the beach.All of the companies have been professional and helpful and our stays have been very enjoyable.There have been times when things did not meet standards and for the most part they were handled properly.I can in all honesty tell you I this was the best rental company we have ever dealt with. Every question I had ( and I had a few) was answered promptly and professionally. The house was fantastic, spotless and well stocked. But I believe what separated Carolina Shores from the other top flight outfits I have dealt with was their kindness.I’m not kidding in the least when I tell you they treated me like a friend.They have a young lady named “Boots” who is is one of kindest , as well as efficient people I have met in my 63 years on this planet.Hats off to all of the people I encounter on our trip including the linen delivery person , great job and thank you!See you next summer!!!

Great week in OBX

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a really nice time at Easton's Beach. The house was great. The living room was huge with lots of seating which I really liked. The beach access was a little farther than we expected, but we drove and parked at the lot by the access. We mostly ate in the whole time and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool is nice. Close access to the 4x4 beach which we took advantage of. Would come here again.

Beach week 2022

The house was spacious and had a nice layout. The house didn't appear to have been cleaned prior to check in and there wasn't enough seating on the decks or at the pool to accommodate a family and make it feel more welcoming. We enjoyed our stay in the area and had a great time overall. Our only complaint was the cleanliness and somethings are old and tattered.

Spacious home

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No complaints. Distance from the beach is the only knock, but being able to drive the heavy items close made it easier. The walk itself is not bad at all...and the dog loved it. Sound system throughout the house was a plus with blue tooth receiver. Extra beach chairs and umbrellas, although worn, were very convenient. Bikes were a nice addition for quick beach access. The one addition I would add is a 2nd refrigerator. 5 bedrooms with 1 refrigerator requires some juggling, but manageable. Very spacious home for our group of 10 + dog.

The house was very spacious and met our needs. It is a little dated in some areas and carpet needs replacing on stairway in main entrance. Housekeeping did not meet my standards. The house did not appear to have been vacuumed and lots of dust and spills left on furniture. I did take pictures and sent to property manager. She was apologetic and said the photos would be sent to Housekeeping manager.The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Our grandsons enjoyed the recreation room. The hot tub and pool were a big plus and very nice. Access to the beach was within walking distance.The exterior of grounds had not been cleaned. Leaves and trash around house. Balcony on both levels had spiderwebs. The windows and sliding doors were very dirty with fingerprints.The houses are very close to each other. There was a party of 14 college age students that were very loud from about 2:00 pm to 1:00 am next door. I would suggest taking earplugs and use white noise.We would rent this house again because the positive definitely outweighed the negative. My biggest issue was with housekeeping not the owners.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

My wife and I arrived only to be greeted by an INFESTATION of spiders. I can understand a few here and there, it happens. But this was no normal amount of "seasonal" insects. The place had clearly been neglected for MONTHS as I spent the first two days of our stay pressure washing and treating the house for spiders just so we could enjoy our stay. Brenda, the property manager at Carolina Shores Realty could not care less, and lied to our faces whenn she said she would make it right. Our fridge was running at 58°, which is well over the FDA standards for keeping food safe to eat. Noone came out to fix the fridge until 3 days into our stay, and we could not store or buy ANY FOOD until day 3. Thanks Brenda! 1/10 would NOT rent again from them, like EVER.

Easton's Beach Review

We absolutely loved this property. It had everything we needed for our stay. We would recommend this property to our friends and would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion we would make is that the wifi was weak, but that didn't hamper our good time.

Easton's Beach repeat renter!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This year marked our third time staying at Easton's Beach. I couldn't say enough about how satisfied we have been staying here. The layout of the house is perfect for our two families and two dogs. The open floorplan from the kitchen to the living room and dining room is airy and comfortable. Vaulted ceilings throughout the upper floors are expansive and roomy. With a master on the upper floor, two ensuites on the second floor plus an addition two bedrooms with adjoining baths - sleeping arrangements are easily accommodated. The views from the decks are spectacular - a perfect clear shot of the beach and sunrise every morning in the summer. The house as loaded with goodies including anything you need in the kitchen, pool toys, beach chairs and boogie boards and 4 bikes! Pool areas is clean and refreshing and the inside of the house is always spotless regardless of being a dog-friendly house. The location is perfect for us since it's only a few blocks to the 4WD beach which we spend all day at - as well as a few blocks back to "civilization" for shopping, ice cream, tackle shop and gas. We will surely be back soon to Easton's beach.

It's all a matter of choice.......

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the outside this home has a "wow" factor, but once inside that wow becomes more of a "what?". Overall the house is nice, but it really could use both maintenance and many updates. While this may be the responsibility of the house cleaning people, there were a lot of dead bugs around the windows, spider webs in many areas where you walk and the rooms were not so clean. The house needs maintenance. Very loose door knobs that wouldn't lock. Patio door wouldn't open. Some sinks would drain VERY slowly (10 minutes to drain before the next person could use sink). Many lights out. Old TV's (in bedrooms) that look like they were from the 1990's or some were just computer monitors! Overall, if you're looking for a vacation home that makes you feel "spoiled" while on vacation, this home falls short. If you're looking for a beach cottage that does not, then this home is fine. A vacation home is something you pay to enjoy. It should be well maintained and kept up to date. Owners are running a mini-business; selling time in their home and thus marketing a product. The master bedroom bathroom is the only update in the house. Everything else is dated.Are there many other houses that are not as nice? Sure. Others are much better. This house if nice, but the review is to give you a picture of what to expect for your money. If these little things don't bother you then you'll enjoy this house. If your a bit pickier, then maybe some disappointment. Like everything, it is subjective although the maintenance and up to date issues are not. The home did have bikes for use, beach chairs and umbrellas which were nice to use. Many porch swings which were relaxing. Beach access is not a straight shot to the beach. You have to walk down and around many homes to get to the beach access. You cannot simply walk out back to the beach. Quiet community. Beach is great.

Vacation house

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation experience was okay. The house is very worn. The sheets didn't fit the bed well. The house has not been really cleaned for a long time. I moved the bed to make it and was gross behind it. It is not very close to the beach and would be hard to get your beach things to the beach and back. Someone showed up unannounced to change filters in the house and woke up my girls. The pool was fun to have for my girls. They do allow pets, which is nice but lots of pet wear as well. I would not rent this house again.
