Old World Charm on Chetek Chain of Lakes

This Prairie Lake Cottage features low elevation with no stairs to the water. Recent historically-sensitive renovation. Features wide-plank floors, stone fireplace, exposed ceilings, 1 Bedroom with queen size bunks and 1 Bedroom with a queen size bed and 2 sofas with sleepers upstairs. In the walkout basement there is a large family room with easy access to the fire pit and lake. Please note that the walkout basement has no internal staircase to upstairs, you must go outside to go to main floor of the Cottage. On this large, wooded lot you will enjoy the firepit, flat walk out to sand shore, excellent fishing, views of undeveloped land across lake and water on both sides of you on this quiet peninsula. A new aluminum dock for your boat plus a sitting area right on the dock to enjoy the views. Furnished with quality decor, one-of-a-kind items and even premium linens and towels for up to 6 guests. Just bring your fishing poles and come and relax!

Annual fishing trip

Stayed here for our annual guys fishing trip. Great place for what we were looking for. Easy access to multiple boat launches too, which was very convenient. Thank you!

Loved this house and location!

We had a great time at this cabin! Everything was clean and the owner was great to work with! The kids loved swimming and jumping off the end of the dock. We would definitely stay here again!

Cute cabin awesome location

We had fun hanging out and fishing off the pier, nightly fires, grilling out, easy kayaking, perch, bluegill and bass. Lots of great memories!

Just right quiet getaway

Great cabin on a quiet dead end road. Quaint but with plenty of space for our family of 4. Great dock with easy boat launch access. Kids (6 & 9) loved the bunk/loft bed options! Host was easy to contact and very responsive! Would definitely stay there again!!

A short getaway

The cabin had some very cool and quirky details. Found some fun things to do but, the two top items we looked forward to on the lakewe couldn't do because of the condition of the water. Green in June.

Sorry you thought the water was green, Chetek had heavy storms the night before check in with about an 1 1/2" of rain so that may have caused it. We were there a few days before check in and water was clear. I was there 2 hours after check out to clean up and the water was still clear. Please remember that this is a lake in northern Wisconsin and it will not look like water from a faucet. I consider it clear if I can stand on the dock and see through the water to the bottom.

Great Cabin, Great Property, no swimming

The cabin itself and property is great, very kid and family friendly, and our two small daughters in preschool loved it, especially the bunk bed room and outside games. The property was very peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. The only downside was we were not able to swim in the lake due to the water being green and full of algae. Other than that, the owner was great and checked in on us daily.

Fall girls weekend

It was a beautiful weekend. Had a fire the first night and got to see the reflection of the stars in the still water. Went shopping in town on Saturday. The people are so friendly. We went to have a drink at Sassy’s, and they were having their Halloween party, which was a blast. Everyone seems to know everyone in Town We will definitely be back

Family Vacation

We loved the property! Our kids (9, 12, and 17) had plenty to keep occupied with games (indoor and outdoor), fishing, and WiFi. There was plenty of space for our family of 6. We loved the view of the lake both inside and out. The only thing that we didnt like so much was no bathroom on lower level and having to go outside to get upstairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Other than that we would love to return sometime. Our kids even asked if we could just move in 😁
