Early Bird Discount - Ski House with workspace + VIEWS!

Stay close to the slopes in this spacious, 3-bedroom top-floor unit of our duplex home. This three bedroom, 2 bath unit comes with a spacious kitchen and living room space, an outdoor patio, and garage parking.

The house is conveniently located 2.3 miles from the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon - which accesses Solitude and Brighton Ski Resorts and 5 miles from the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon - which accesses the Snowbird and Alta Ski Resorts.

The property is a duplex and has 2 fully separate units with a few shared spaces (driveway, backyard, and laundry room). You'll be staying in the upstairs unit. Guests have complete private access to the upstairs unit. Includes kitchen, 3 bedrooms, entryway, dining room, and living room. The laundry room in the basement, back patio, backyard, driveway, and garage are shared spaces.

Our home is a duplex; the homeowner, Matt, and his dog, Poncho, live in the lower level unit and you may see them coming and going in the driveway and backyard or in the laundry room. Matt is usually onsite and can help with any needs that arise during your stay. The upstairs unit completely locks and the homeowner will never enter your unit unless asked to do so by you.

Some cabinets in the laundry room are for owner use only. If a cabinet doesn’t open naturally and gently, it is for owner use only.
2 cars can be parked onsite. Both cars must be parked on the far right side of the driveway. The left side of the driveway must be kept clear.

great place!

We loved this house in Cottonwood Heights with a great location and a nice and relaxing home. We were traveling with our dog, and the dog walking trails were great with with amazing views of the mountains. We also found 2 great resturaunts in walking distance.

One of the most welcoming, clean, convenient VRBO’s we have ever stayed in! Kyra and Matt were super responsive. Very convenient to multiple ski resorts. Neighborhood is super easy to navigate. Would definitely return.

Great place and a quiet neighborhood

Check in was easy, and everything worked great. We like cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. Everything was clean and easy to use. Easy drive to Brighton and Solitude and not far from shopping. We had a great stay, thank you!

Great little neighborhood

Good quiet neighborhood that had lots to do within 10-15 minutes drive. Good value compared to the listings closer to the ski resorts. Older home, but updated kitchen and comfortable interior. The owner was very responsive and quick to help when needed. Side note - the taco place nearby was excellent.

Spring Break 2025

We fly to Utah every year for spring break to ski with our two teenage sons. This location is perfect if you plan to drive up to the resorts each day. There is plenty of room for 4 folks to have their own space in the house. We had a game night around the large kitchen table.

Great Ski Trip Spot

This spot was 5-10 minutes to all sorts of restaurants and convenience stores like Whole Foods and Starbucks. Easy 20 minute drive to most of the ski resorts like Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton. Hosts live in the lower level of the house separated by basement stairs and door. It’s a great little spot. Only really small thing I wish they had was waste baskets and Kleenex in each of the rooms. Everything else was great.

Great Location Close to Resorts

Great access to both canyons for skiing at either Snowbird/Alta or Brighton/Solitude. Check in was simple with the keypad. Plenty of space for our group. There is a TV but couldn't get any of the local channels to connect, so we ended up having to buy an antenna to watch the Football games. The laundry area is shared with the host who lives in the lower unit, but he was very quiet and we couldn't even tell someone was in the lower unit. There is a locked door that separates the two units. Overall, great base location to relax after a day of riding at one of the resorts.

Cottonwood Heights is a beautiful neighborhood that is situated very close to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon. We love to ski and hike so the close proximity made it a no-brainer to purchase a home in this neighborhood. We hope you enjoy the access to the canyons that we have been able to enjoy over the last couple of years!

What makes this property unique

Our rental is recently renovated and a great place to host your party. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large open concept dining room/living room that is great for hanging out in the evening. Our access to the canyons makes us a great spot to stay in both winter and summer for anybody looking for easy access to skiing and hiking.
