Thank you for choosing our cabin for your Thanksgiving getaway! I’m so glad to hear the views, location, and amenities made your stay enjoyable. It really means a lot to us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime you’re planning another trip to the NC mountains.
We had an AMAZING stay! This was a mother/teenage daughter trip for relaxing, a little hiking, and to visit ASU as a college prospect. From the beginning, the owner was very responsive and welcoming. The views from the cabin were incredible and we woke up every morning feeling rejuvenated. The cabin is homey and inviting and so comfortable. We had lots of cozy movie nights. We will definitely be back!!
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this property! Beautiful, tranquil views did not disappoint. Tammy was great and very responsive. Highly recommend this cabin if you are looking to escape!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope to welcome you back the next time you visit the area.
The cabin was very clean, and well stocked with many amenities (soaps, cooking spices, oils, even containers and ziplocs). You'll quickly feel like you're at home, and you won't really want to leave because the views are so amazing. It was so great to have breakfast and sip coffee outside on the deck, looking out on the vast expanse of hills and trees. The privacy is amazing as well, especially on the back deck, very quiet and peaceful.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! I’m really glad you felt at home and enjoyed the peaceful setting—those views from the deck really are something special. It makes me happy to hear you made the most of the little things like morning coffee out there. You’re welcome back anytime!
Amazing view, wonderful host, awesome location! We really appreciated being able to stay here and soak in the peak of fall color the mountains gave! We've stayed in several cabins in the WNC area and this was right up there with the best of them! Close to Boone and blowing rock, and within an hour drive to some of the areas well known hikes and the blue ridge parkway. Grocery stores were close enough for forgotten items if we needed them, yet the kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated the pantry items that were available to us. The fireplace needed a servicing and Tammy was prompt in getting the gas company out to resolve it for the remainder of our stay. My 3 year old enjoyed the jetted tub and while we were seeking an outdoor hot tub, this was a great alternative with having small children with us. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway while having an array of options for dining, hiking, shopping & outdoor activities!
What a beautiful cottage with incredible long distance views tucked away in Blue Ridge mountains. Easy access to Boone and nearby attractions. We had a great time and plan to vacation here again in the near future.

So glad you enjoyed your stay....even more improvements for guests to enjoy will be done this coming week....(new matresses for the bunk beds, even more USB electrical outlets to make it convienient for guests to charge electronics, maybe even "top" a few additional trees to open up the views even more....and who knows what other projects we may take on during this "working" vacation..). If you have any other improvements...you would like to see made before your next stay.....please let me know. I'm always looking for ways to make my guest's time at the cabin even more enjoyable!!!
Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and breathtaking views. We hope to welcome you back for another relaxing stay in the future!
We loved staying here for our second time. The view is fantastic! The cabin is well equipped. We love that there are several hikes right in the neighborhood!
Great place. Clean and had all the necessities we needed - grill, fire pit, etc. The views off the porch were incredible. If you are looking for a secluded destination - this is the place. We really enjoyed our stay.

I'm always delighted to hear much other enjoy the cabin. I have some little additions I hope to be making at Christmas....two benches that when put togather will form a picnic table for the deck and replace the deck fire pit with a lower firepit/grill combination....being I have had awesome renters this year. who have respected the property, I can continue to make improvements for all to enjoy (rather than repairs of damage ) . I hope to welcome you and your family back soon so you can enjoy the enhancements!
Wonderful cabin 5 miles up the mountain, beautiful views, easy access to Boone. Community is full of miles of hiking paths, hammocks along babbling brooks, a waterfall with a hiking path to top. Highly recommend!

Great Place for R and R
The view is great and we rarely heard anything more than birds and crickets . It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, like you've gone back in time, and yet you're only 20 minutes from town. Great place and I hope to visit again soon.

Glad you enjoyed the cabin and its views. Each season brings its own unique beauty that can be fully enjoyed at the cabin. Like you mentioned, 20 minutes from town and not much farther to Appalachian, Sugar and Beech Mountain, if you visit during the winter months and want to ski, snow board, tube or ice skate. I hope to welcome you back soon!

I love when people ask "how close are your neighbors" as the are looking for a private getaway. Although there is a cabin 1/2 acre away, it isn't occupied year around, as many of the cabins in the community are second/vacation homes. In addition to the cabin sitting high up the mountain in the Buck Mountain Community (1 mile from the top end of the road ). There isn't a lot of traffic even on holiday weekends. Sometimes only the 1 or two cars a day will be heard , often not seen, pass by.
Hope you have you all return soon. I'm glad you enjoyed all the cabin and the area has to offer.
Great experience from start to finish. Super clean and prepped for guest felt, like home. No words do the beauty justice. Great location for activities, kids had a blast. Would definitely come back!

Perfect getaway!!
The perfect weekend, or longer, getaway from the congestion of Charlotte. Perfect location between Wilkesboro and Boone. The dogs loved the big window and deck to watch the clouds and critters. We also loved the giant window to watch the BEAUTIFUL sunrise. Clean, well stocked, maintained, and beautiful home on the mountain. Can't wait to come back!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, it truly helps other potential guests decide if the cabin is the right place for their stay, as well me to make any improvements for future guests. There isn’t much I can do regarding the 6 mile drive in the community to get to the cabin, but like you said, it’s worth it, as the their is one of the best mountain views in the area. So glad you enjoyed it and I hope to welcome you all back again soon for another race event!
Tammy is a great host! The house was good for a family of 4. It takes some time to get on and off the mountain but if you plan to stay it's perfect. Seeing the baby deer was an added bonus!

Thank you for the kind words. My local caretaker deserves more credit for being a great “host” than I do...and yes Buck Mountain has a lot of young wildlife throughout the community in the spring . This year there has been a Doe and her twin fawns that seem to like passing by front of the cabin in the late afternoon and evening I’m not sure if that is the deer family you saw or one of the many others ...The wildlife and the cabin’s deck view make the 6 mile drive up the mountain to the cabin worth it.. I’m glad your family had a chance to enjoy some of what the area has to offer and your vacation was an enjoyable get away.
