Nestled in the heart of the Hill Country Wine region, Das Fritz Weinhaus is the perfect get-away retreat. Located in historic Stonewall, Texas, just 16 miles from Fredericksburg and Johnson City, you will be staying right in the middle of the Texas 290 Wine Trail. Not only will you find more than a dozen wineries within a few miles, you’ll also be close to Luckenbach, Wildseed Farms, Fredericksburg Trade Days, and the LBJ Ranch. In fact, a fun fact about the property is back in the 60's, LBJ would stop by the house to spend time with the original owners who knew him! Das Fritz Weinhaus is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath house sitting on 1.2 spacious acres, with all the amenities of home. It sleeps 6 comfortably, but could sleep up to 8 with an optional queen air bed. Each bedroom has satellite TV, ceiling fans, comfortable beds and plenty of space to relax after a long day. The kitchen is clean and well-appointed, with every appliance you would need for creating a feast for family and friends. There is even a gas grill outside to grill up the perfect steak to go with that bottle of wine you found while touring the wineries. The living room includes plenty of comfortable seating, large-screen satellite TV, DVD player and movie collection, and even some games and books to enjoy during your stay. The bathrooms are clean and well-stocked with linens and bath products. The house also includes a laundry room, with full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. And as much fun as it is to get away, we do have wireless internet to help you stay connected during your stay. Did we mention there is a free wine tasting included with each stay?!
