Very Clean, Nice, Private Getaway!
The house was very clean! Had a nice bonfire pit and very impressive deck. Wished we would have been on part of the lake where we could've swam and fished off the dock. Otherwise it was a fantastic property! We had a great time!
Very comfortable home
Had a blast. Went to Ludington salmon fishing. House was perfect. Very well equipped. From the grill to the bonfire pit the outside deck and a very large dining room table for games. Very secluded and peaceful. Beds and furniture were comfortable. House is well stocked with all the extras. Will definitely be back there again thanks
Quiet and peaceful! Loved the tranquil setting. Owners were very gracious and helpful with any info we requested.
We had a fabulous stay! It’s a great house. We lived on the back deck with the great view.
We’ve been going to Michigan for years. We started out in a tent, KOA cabins, and then house rentals. We’ve enjoyed them all, but we’re older and enjoy the house rental. Ludington is our family vacation. We’ve done Ludington the last 15 years. The kids, 26-39, and grandkids, 18 months - 6, all get together for this week. We had to split houses this year, because there’s 11 of us. Our daughter’s family (6) rented in town, which was nice. The Duneview Lake House was fantastic! It was just what we wanted. You drive up the hill to an adorable house with a huge yard, front patio, and adorable front deck. You walk into the utility room, which is perfect for wet towels, etc. You now enter a cute updated kitchen that looks into the living room with the best view “ever” of the picturesque backyard. There’s also a dining room, full bath, and bedroom on the main floor. Upstairs is the master bedroom with bath and the 3rd bedroom. We had family dinners in the dining room and out on the deck. Our grandchildren loved running up and down the sloped backyard, walking on the dock w/adult, watching the baby ducks swim, the humming birds, the blue jays, and the baby deer. Our days were spent at the State Park riding the waves, riding a tube down the river, or Hamlin Lake where we would also swim, paddle board, and kayak. Even our grandchildren rode in the kayaks and the paddle boards. It was amazing. We do take a day trip and this year it was to the Petting Farm just a short ride a way and the girls had a fantastic time. We usually have breakfast at home, lunch is a picnic at the beach, and supper is at home. One night we go into town for dinner and it’s been great. There’s a lot of cute restaurants with great food. We believe there was a trip to the House of flavors for ice cream every night. Grandma and Grandpa usually went to the beach to watch the sunset or take a walk out to the Light House. You have to walk through the shops downtown, which are adorable. We have also added a few pictures to our home from Todd and Brad Reed’s Photography Studio. Friday evenings there’s activities for the whole family downtown.
You can’t go wrong going to Ludington and staying at the Duneview Lake House. We hope to do it again next year. Please go and enjoy, but leave a week open for us. Thank you.
Very clean home that accomadated my family well!
My family and I have been coming to Ludington to close to 30 years. The home was one of the cleanest homes we have stayed in. Had all the necessities we needed as well. My only complaint which The owner can’t control is every time we went outside to play with the kids, black horse flys would attack us so it was difficult to enjoy the outside. The home itself tho was great.
Couldn’t have been a nicer home and all the kitchen cupboards were well stocked. The washer and dryer a major convenience. The owner very attentive to our needs. Loved relaxing on the deck. The slope to the lake hard on senior citizen knees and the bayou rather weedy in summer.
