About the property

Townhome, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

This Radium condo has it all - conveniently located in the heart of the Columbia valley - close to golf, hiking, hot springs, skiing, restaurants and shopping. You'll almost always get a chance to see some of the wildlife the Rocky Mountains are known for. Whether you are seeking a romantic retreat, or a special family holiday, this unit comes through.

Tastefully decorated, and extremely well equipped, you will find everything you need here to prepare your own meals. Or, if you would rather eat out, there are enough area restaurants to provide a different dining experience every night of the week.

Beds were carefully selected to be 'not too hard, not too soft, but just the way you like them'! The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, with the other two bedrooms on the upper floor both featuring queen-sized beds. The basement level is where the fourth bedroom is located - kids love to snuggle in to the comfy twin beds down here. If needed, more sleeping space is available in the basement family room, where a convertible sofa bed is located.

The upstairs features a full bath, as does the basement. The main floor has a half bath.

The large back deck features table and chairs, and a gas BBQ. The east view is great for enjoying the sunrise, and peace and quiet, with that morning cup of coffee. The rest of the day, the deck is a wonderful place to relax with a drink , while you plan for the next day, read a book, or just sit and watch the world go by.

About The Owner

We are semi-retired Alberta farmers, still too busy to get to one of our favorite places, Radium Hot Springs, as often as we would like.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 2003

Why The Owner chose Radium Hot Springs

We love Radium - it always seems to be several degrees warmer than it is on the other side of the Rockies, where we live. The hot springs are among our favorite anywhere, and there are so many wonderful hiking trails in the area, including right within the town of Radium. There are activities we have still not done in the area, including boating on the Columbia River, and finding some of the natural hot springs which are nearby.

What makes this townhome unique

There is a great little coffee shop that recently opened in Radium - makes an awesome latte! If you like to hike, you can leave your car in the driveway, because there are wonderful walking trails in every direction from the condo. A lot of wildlife is literally right outside your door on the golf course, including a large flock of Rocky Mountain sheep.

Everything we needed. Great location.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo for Thanksgiving. It was the perfect location to gather our family from Alberta and BC. The unit was clean, well stocked in a quiet but handy location. Loved seeing the bighorn sheep outside our door. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There was a king in the master and two queens in two bedrooms upstairs. There were two twin beds in a bedroom in the fully finished basement. We would have liked to have had the twin beds upstairs and a queen downstairs but maybe that arrangement works better for others? It was nice to have a garage to park in and load/unload into. It was about theee blocks to the playground and workout park and about four to the grocery store. Took our dog for lots of walks along the golf course and through town. We even saw a peacock! We would definitely recommend this location and would consider it for future gatherings. Thanks for sharing your special place!

Nice condo backing golf course in Radium Hot Springs

  • 4 of 5

Overall, the condo was spacious and clean. It was very convenient to have laundry facilities. The starter on the gas BBQ was broken so it had to be lighted manually but that was a small detail. The condo is in close proximity (walking distance) to a number of businesses including a grocery store and restaurants. It is also within close driving distance to the Radium Hot Springs. We could not get the garbage code to work which was unfortunate so we ended up piling our garbage up just outside of the gated garbage area because the code provided absolutely would not work on any of the locks so that was a bit of a hassle. Also, one of the deck chairs broke while we were there and we discovered that the settee in the living room area had also been broken and the legs taped which we did not discover until my daughter sat on it and it fell down. However, all in all, the owner was very good to deal with, the cleaning staff let us know when we forgot an item and shipped it to us, and there were ample supplies of bedding, blankets, pillows and towels. Everything was clean and all the kitchen appliances worked well. They also have a supply of puzzles, books and kids items (sand pails and a small bowling set) to help keep you occupied which was very thoughtful. The gas fireplace in the main floor sitting room is also nice to relax by in the evening hours while unwinding from a busy day touring around.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review, and for sharing the little details that we had already discussed. I appreciate that. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in Radium. Once you had mentioned the garbage code to me, I immediately contacted the condo property manager and my cleaning person, to confirm that I had the right code. Yes, the code was correct, my cleaning lady had no problem opening the garbage access. So I'm not sure what the issue was for you, but the code was not the problem. Sometimes things break and if nobody tells us, we cannot rectify the issue. It seems that someone broke the settee in the living room, and tried to repair it with duct tape! Would have been better if they had just told us what happened. Anyway, sorry your daughter found out the hard way what had been done - the offending piece of furniture has now been removed. Thanks for letting me know. Our bbq is due for replacing this year. While still functional, I know it could be so much better. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review.

Another Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent four wonderful days at your Radium condo. It was so relaxing and comforting to have such a well-equipped place to call 'home'. Once again, the condo was extremely clean when we got there! So nice to BBQ on the deck overlooking the golf course after a day hiking or soaking in the pools.

Thanks so much for allowing us the use of this great space.

A Great Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

The place was clean, quiet, and a wonderful place to call home during our stay. The condo comes well stocked with all the amenities of home and was easy for our family of 6 to move into while we were there. Great people to deal with and all our questions were answered before we got there.

Thanks again. We will be back!
