Great location

Clean, great location! We loved how one side was a view of the harbor and the other side was the beach. Also a short walk from restaurants and a coffee shop. Would stay here again!

Great location, clean unit

We really liked this unit - it was clean, has a great layout with a nice patio, and it's in the perfect location. Access to the beach is so easy with kids. There was a significant maintance issue during our stay, but the property manager kept us up to date as workers were in and out of the condo. While it was a damper on our stay, the unit itself is fantastic and I would book again.

Lovely stay!

The people were so friendly and the restaurants in walking distance were so great! The only thing I would recommend is if you are already a hott person you definitely need an A/C….they do provide box fans which was nice but I was a little toasty. Other then that check-in was great and went super smooth Cyndi was incredibly sweet, the condo was clean and in good order and our stay went off without a hitch!

No AC, old and filthy

Let me start by saying the pictures make this place look way better than it is. Its very old, smells, and was pretty filthy when we arrived. My wife took to cleaning the fridge and sink immediately. Save your money and stay somewhere else. i wish someone else had written a review so i would have. Location is great which gives it the single star.

Best vacation sleep ever

Great location for getting to the beach. Enjoyed the hot tub and heated pool. Beds were great. We brought our own pillows and the king and twin beds slept really well. Parking spot was close to stairs and room was right by the laundry room. Needed to download an app to do wash which was very convenient. We will be back. If I could change anything it would be for the balcony chair cushions to be clean. The ceiling fans/light remote controls need to be reprogrammed. Turn on the light in one room and you will also turn on a light in another room. Door keys stuck and was difficult to remove. Front door mat would be nice for catching sand.

Location, Location, Location

Property was great for our So Cal surf trip. Lot's to do steps away at the marina and short walk to town center. Check in was a breeze. Building security was comforting. Other guests we encountered were courteous. Property interior is a bit dated but that is reflected in the listing. Thank you for making this property available to rent.

Our stay in Oceanside ...

Nice to be so close to the ocean! Property generally more run down and tired than we had expected. Lighting in main bedroom flickered, no bedside lights, bedroom blinds difficult to open/close and did not cut out the light from the walkway lighting, shower area encrusted with limescale and corrosion. Front door could not be double locked, and much movement when closed. Not well sound proofed, we could clearly hear footsteps, dropped and rolled items from the above apartment. Kitchen was clean, as was bed linen. Very expensive for what it was, and I do appreciate one pays a premium to be next to the ocean, but even so ...

New Year Vacation

My biggest complaint was the kitchen. Very limited only 3 glasses. The cooking pots and pans are very old. We had a family of 4 rentals for that week, and I had to borrow from them when it was time for me to cook my meal. We have been coming to Marena Del Mar for over 50 years. Love the location and convenience of being close to beach. One more thing, the light in dining room continues to blink like a strobe light. All and all…we enjoyed our vacation. We will continue to vacation there!

Mostly nice, but unit needs some work

Living room sofa and loveseat were comfortable, but didn't make into a bed that we could see. The King bed was comfortable, but the twin beds were too firm my family said. Also there needs to be some re-wiring in the bedrooms because the two overhead fan lights react to each other. If I turned the light on in my room, it turned off the light in the other room, and vice versa. Also I am glad I brought a skillet and cooking pot from home because like most rentals , the cookware is highly scratched and should have been tossed long ago. That being said we had a nice time here. The pool is very inviting and it's great to be so close to the beach. I've stayed at is complex many times over the last 40 years and most of the units have been quite satisfactory. This unit just needs a few tweaks to make it more comfortable. We did love the decor!

We've been staying at Marina Del Mar since I was a baby and always have a great time! This time was no different! We loved working with the property manager, Cindy and appreciated her responding to us and helping us with a few concerns we had during our stay! She was fantastic!

Fantastic Location and great price

This was our second stay at this condo and we love the location! You literally do not need to drive anywhere during your stay with the shops and restaurants nearby, the beach is right there, the marina, the pool and hot tub. Can't ask for much more! Unit is undergoing improvements with some upgrades already completed and some in the works. The entire complex has just been redone on the outside. Gem of a find!

Great location

Had a great long weekend. Perfect for walking across the street to the beach, and wonderful relaxing on the balcony watching the boats pull into the marina.

An okay stay

The unit is older than how it seemed in the pictures. The balcony was nice and the condo is in a great location, however the unit was not very clean. Needs upgrades and the unit has a problem with ants. The ants were even in the refrigerator. We were bothered by the people staying I the unit above us, we could here there footsteps all night long. I think the kids were running around. We rented dvd’s Because our unit had a DVD player but upon trying to play the movie we realized there were no cables that connected the DVD player to the tv. The TVs were nice and the beds were comfortable.

Dirty Room

We paid for cleaning service and when we came into the hotel room, there was a lot of dust. The appliances were all greasy and the tables were dirty. The location was great! In the master bedroom we found someone's bra.( it's still there) And a lot of dust around.I took a picture for proof. Construction started at 6:45 AM...so annoying.

Even with all the construction and upgrading going on we enjoyed our stay. Very conveniant location

First impression not great because of the construction going on. The unit is older but very clean. Had an issue with plumbing and it was attended to promptly and we appreciated the compensation for this and not having use of the pool and hot tub. Felt that reading lamps in bedrooms and a hair blowdryer would be nice and possible upgrading of fry pans. All in all we enjoed our stay and would probably go back. Found everyone we dealt with very helpful and pleasant. Loved the location

Best way to vacay!

Best way to vacay! Went down for Thanksgiving weekend with family. Condo has everything you need and was 100% better than staying in 2 hotel rooms. Sat and watched TV in the living room, was able to whip up snacks or something to drink in the fully equipped kitchen, sat out on the balcony with our morning coffee from the Nautical Bean-a 2 minute walk away. It's like being at home only better. When it was time to go, just drop the keys in the drop box and they do the rest. This is the way to go on vacations from now on!
