So close to the local wineries, breweries and hiking trails! Charming country home for large groups, sleeps 10-12. Acres of rolling green pastures with gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain views. Black Angus cows grazing in 60 acre pasture. Carrots provided to feed the friendly donkeys. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the crackling firepit & eating s'mores. Hiking trails abound & on-site fishing pond. Your days are filled with activites -- wineries, hiking, historic sightseeing (Monticello, Montpelier), golfing or exploring antique shops. Your evenings can be home cooked meals in fully stocked kitchen, catered meals delivered or dining out at the various local restaurants in Madison, Gordonsville or Charlottesville. Game room is great for families and gaming. Come back to the Manor House and savor a bottle of local wine while sitting around the stone fire pit with a home-cooked s'more under the vastness of the openess and stars. Eat-in kitchen.

Our large family stayed here for a graduation weekend and it was beautiful. Charming home, surrounded by green pastures. All rooms clean, comfortable and well appointed, kitchen well stocked w everything you need, and the view of the mountains is spectacular. We were lucky enough to come during peak bloom time for all the peonies and iris and spent a lot of time around the fire pit enjoying the farm vibes. The owners were great- making everything clear and easy and were very gracious. Would definitely stay here again!

The best positive comment I can make is if asked, “would you stay again?”, my answer is absolutely! Perfect location providing a respite from everyday life. Plenty of space for two families with teens and plenty of outdoor activities nearby. We were able to easily make and reheat Thanksgiving dinner followed by s’mores and football in the backyard. Loved every minute.

The host is absolutely fantastic. The farm house was perfect for our wedding weekend in Orange. The house quite simply is a home the minute you walk in. Sunrise coffee with the cows and listening to the night time wildlife around the firepit made for a most enjoyable but long day. Come and see this place for youself and enjoy.

Amazing VA getaway!

This was one of my favorite rental properties— and I have stayed at a number. A few families gathered here for a fall weekend and it was perfect for both the adults and the kids. The kids loved the huge backyard to run around and loved being able to visit the cows and donkeys. The house is beautifully furnished. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and greeted us at check-in. Would definitely recommend this home and plan to come back soon!

Beautiful home, wonderful stay!

The Manor House was perfect for our needs! We had multi-generational family members stay here as part of an 80th birthday celebration in the Charlottesville area, and the home (and the owner and property manager) were wonderful. The owner and property manager's communication was clear and very proactive, there is a detailed and informative digital welcome pack for guests, the home is comfortably and beautifully decorated, the views out every window are so peaceful, and everything was "as advertised" (and then some!). This property is geared with the guest and great quality service in mind!

60th birthday celebration for old friends

The Manor House at BDR Ranch is a most amazing place! From the moment we drove onto the property we all knew it was perfect. The house itself is beautiful and so incredibly comfortable. The land surrounding the house is awesome and the cows give it an even better atmosphere. We had 6 women in our group and we all felt that this was a perfect place for us to relax and enjoy our 60th birthday celebration together!

Beautiful, fun and eclectic place! Loved sitting on patio in the morning drinking coffee. Kids were bummed cows and donkeys didn’t come closer to the house. Owners were lovely and very helpful.
