The Space:

This place is really great thanks to its location right in the heart of downtown. However, we’ll say it again here (even though it’s already been mentioned twice): it’s noisy 🔊. There’s a bar right below, a bustling street, restaurants, and theaters… in short, in the evenings and especially on weekends, it’s lively!



It’s really a cool place to stay if you enjoy that kind of atmosphere. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet and a deeply restful sleep 😴, you might be disappointed. Now that that’s out in the open, I’m happy to welcome you to L’Ananas and chat with you!



The apartment has two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc.), and a living room with an HD TV. The sofa bed can accommodate two additional guests. A washer and dryer are also available in the building.

You'll have access to the entire apartment and the building's washer and dryer.



The Neighborhood:

Located in downtown Quebec City, our apartment puts you within walking distance of trendy cafés, local restaurants, unique shops, and cultural events. Grocery stores and other amenities are nearby. Explore the neighborhood on foot and discover the vibrant arts scene and rich history that define Saint-Roch. Quebec City’s main attractions are just a few minutes away by public transportation.



Getting Around:

You can easily explore the neighborhood, its shops, and attractions on foot. You can also take public transportation, rent e-bikes (May through October), or simply take a taxi or Uber as needed.



Other Things to Note:

💹 You have to earn your stay at L’Ananas! The apartment is located on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator. To get there, you’ll need to climb 59 narrow and somewhat steep steps.

The host was wonderful and answered our questions promptly. The appartment was cosy, clean and as advertised. The only reason I am not giving it a 5-star review is because of the noise from the neighbouring nightclub. Great place to stay if you are looking for a decent place near the universities and a bunch of amenities at walking distance, but I definitely recommend earplugs to sleep.

Terrible stay…BED BUGSI would absolutely never stay at this property again. Our experience was horrific. Myself and both of my daughters were badly bitten by bed bugs during our stay. The bites were extremely itchy and continued to affect us for days.We spent the remainder of our family trip anxious and terrified that we had brought bed bugs home. After returning, I had to take time off work to thoroughly clean and steam-treat our belongings. We ultimately had to throw away and replace luggage and other personal belongings, and I purchased specialized steam-cleaning equipment costing approximately 200.To be fair, when I contacted the property manager, she acknowledged what happened, apologized, took responsibility, and ultimately provided a full refund. I appreciate that response, but the refund did not come close to covering the additional expenses, lost work time, belongings, and enormous stress this caused my family.What concerns me most is what I discovered afterward: I found an Airbnb review from another guest reporting a bed bug incident at this same property in July, only weeks before our stay at the end of August. This raises serious questions about whether the previous problem was properly resolved and whether the property was adequately inspected and treated before we arrived.I am sharing this so future guests can make an informed decision. Three members of my family were bitten, and the physical, emotional and financial impact continued long after checkout.

Clean apartment located in a busy nightlife district. Lots of amenities in apartment. 60 steep steps with narrow hallway leading to apartment. Parking was off-site in a lot...we loaded and unloaded on st Joseph and parked a 5 minute walk. Great place for people who are fit and like to explore the city. We walked everywhere and enjoyed getting to explore old Quebec within a 30 minute walk.

It was a fine place to stay

It was nice but not an executive suite as advertised. 2 bedrooms in the basement level. It worked just fine and we were happy there.

A cute, well-equipped apartment in a lively part of Quebec

We found the apartment to be cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was ideal for 3-4 adults. The two steep flights of stairs to the apartment would be difficult for those with mobility issues. The area is full of bars, restaurants and shops, with an excellent bakery just across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place with excellent stores nearby

We had a great place to stay with two bedrooms. They weren't the biggest but they were private. There was a restaurant right below us and tended to be noisy into the night. Please know that there are two flights of small steep stairs to use to access the apartment so it wouldn't work for mobility challenged people.

Good property with Parking challenge

All in all, our stay was good - however if you have small kids or large luggages, parking could pose a challenge (street parking is limited and paid parking is 5 mins walk). Homeowner is very responsive and apartment is good, however just be careful with parking challenges.

Never ending tiny dangerous stairs, the staircase was incredibly narrow. you gotta pay for the parking which both of these things weren’t said previously. Mold in the floor, stains everywhere on the sheets. The water from the shower was leaking everywhere on the floor trough the door. There were dishes to cook, a laundry room and WiFi so that was great

The apartment was ideally situated: Easy access to an excellent patisserie, the Jean Coutu for any essentials one might need, and for those who enjoy walking, a reasonable distance to La Grane Allee, Vieux Quebec, and other wonderful sites and restaurants.

The stairs need to be mentioned in the description… countertops needed to be wiped down… no paper towels or other cleaning supplies provided… couch is very uncomfortable… and it was mentioned in the description about the noise from downstairs but it was very loud on Saturday night until 3a.m… if we were younger maybe we would have joined in but those days are past us

Bon sejour

Appartement bien placé et spacieux pour 4 personnes. Conforme à l'annonce et aux photos. Le samedi soir le bar qui est en dessous de l'appartement est assez bruyant. Escalier très raide. Stationnement payant dans la rue en bas mais gratuit dans les rues parallèles, attention à bien regarder les paniers.
