Updated small rustic cabin

Small cabin good for a couple looking for a semi-rustic cabin. It would be tight for 4 people. Updated with a good size family room and a nice large deck on the back. Small kitchen with full size gas range and fridge.Bedroom floor is not level, definitely slopes down to one corner, but otherwise good.

Skiing at Dodge ridge

We stayed here for the long weekend to ski at Dodge ridge. Host was super responsive and helpful. Cabin was clean and fully stocked (oil, spices, all the pots and pans, lots of extra toilet paper). Cabin is in a bit of a strange location - like an informal cul de sac with a bunch of different cabins quite close together - some of the cabins are larger and quite well maintained and others (the cabin right next to this one) are a bit run down. This cabin is small but cozy. Shower is nice and warm. Had fun board games and dvds. The only unexpected thing was that the floor in bedroom is a bit slanted (the floor is not flat), but we didn’t feel anything when sleeping, just when walking around.

Simple easy stay

Very clean little cabin nice and close to Dodge Ridge/Pinecrest. Clear and easy communication with the host for easy check and out. It’s at the end of the road and the number is on the tree out front which we missed at first. It has all the basics you’d need for a stay. It’s a tiny, cozy but quirky little cabin but heats up nice and quick. No wifi but I had signal (AT&T). However, it’s unfortunately right next door to some rundown/abandoned and intimidating. Neighbors that made it a bit uncomfortable for a couple young women like us at night.

Very Rustic

This is a very old cabin with old furnishings in a very old neighborhood. There are some cosmetic updates to the building like redwood bark overlay nailed over the original rotting wood, newer LVP flooring, a newer shower insert, some newer fixtures, some new windows. The kitchen & shower are so tiny. Bedroom floor is on a slant which ifelt disorienting to me. The new deck is beautiful which is what sells this place. The WiFi did not work for us. The price was very reasonable. Few usable electric outlets, all were in use. We checked out a day early, since it felt cramped inside the dwelling to me. I need more open space with aesthetically pleasing surroundings. The cabin served its purpose as it was close to the Scouts High Sierra Camp that we visited in Long Barn.

Our cabin has a unique location. It is only 20 min away from Pinecrest Lake, 20 min from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and 90 min from Yosemite National Park. It is in the midst of Sierra Nevada close to lakes, rivers, hikes, horse riding, ice skating, antique shopping, gold panning, and many more.
